Superboy AU where the suit is actually a part of Kon. (TW/CW for brief mention of self harm near the end, marked with three ***)

He doesn’t notice it when he’s still in CADMUS, where he’s in a state that’s not really conscious but too alert to labeled asleep- a dissociative in between. He hears the scientists talking, hears the mention of “the suit responds as expected” or “how does he react to this…”

He can’t focus on it when after weeks of experiments and tests and “Look here, Project 13” he’s being rescued (what was there to be rescued from, what’s going on-)

But when things calm down, and he’s brought to the Watchtower’s medbay and someone goes to remove the suit so they can perform a checkup, he flinches away because that hurt*.

All too suddenly he’s aware of being able to feel the suit. It doesn’t feel like a coat, doesn’t feel like a blanket, it feels like him.

He becomes aware of how it aches, how he can feel the AC on him even though he should be covered.

A quick examination just confirms it: his suit is like a second skin.

It’s full of nerves, veins, even a few thin layers of muscle. There’s no bone, but it’s too soft and flexible to be cartilage. It seems weaker than the rest of him, somehow, old bruises able to be seen if you’re looking for them.

***When he’s left alone for the night, legs still strapped to the medical bed because (he’s dangerous and untrustworthy and was made by Luthor) he thrashed around in a panic earlier, he finds a scalpel left on a try at his bedside and runs it across his chest (hard, because even though he’s not Superman he’s damn well close).

He doesn’t know if he cries when blood rises and trails after the scalpel.

He doesn’t know how he feels when weeks later, there’s still a faint scar.

*I’m not 100% sure how it works in the comics, but to me just because you’re near indestructible/invulnerable, that doesn’t mean you can’t feel pain. I’m sure there’d be a higher tolerance to it, but considering Kon would only be a few weeks old/out of the tube at this point, he hasn’t built up that resistance yet.

Also I am well aware that a scalpel would not work on Kon, let alone Clark, but maybe it’s a kryptonite infused scalpel for emergencies.

It’s a real shame that I will never watch YJ cartoon because I heard it’s quite good. HOWEVER I simply CANNOT forgive what this did to Kon and his costume.

You mean to tell me they thought the leather jacket, spikes on the shoulders, punk cool costume with sunglasses and an undercut was too out-there fashion for kids and teens?

SO THEY GAVE HIM A BORING T-SHIRT?????

been thinking about TimKon lately and since ive been apart of Jason Todd Week (even if I've been showing it here really badly 😓), and maybe I'll plan a timkon week for this year?? i checked around and the last time there was one was 2023, i think, and it could be nice with all the timkon stuff thats been floating around lately!

Yall i NEED a TimKon AU where Kon is a cowboy/rodeo preformer and Tim is the classic City Boy.

Think about it like OH MY GOOOOD its so perfect???? Clark grew up in Kansas you know when hes relaxed hes got a southern accent and Kon lived on the farm for ages. He'd have the accent and then the sexy ass cowboy hat and the confident attitude he already has !!! And, idk, you could go real hallmark with it and say that Tim has gone to the country side to relax from work or hes there to buy land and then realizes how bad it would be - i dont know, i dont care. I need a fic where Kon is dancing in a hodown (i have no idea how to spell that) and Tim is like smiling and laughing and then Kon teaches him how and Kon takes him on the farm and they ride horses or smt. Think about the tension. The jokes. The way their dynamic wouldnt really change from canon; Kon the confident, coy and loud one whith Tim the fussy, snarky and lowkey kinda spoiled one. Im talking like Hannah Montana the Movie vibes. Im talking Footlose happiness levels. Minimal angst. Or you could go real old school cowboys with Kon as a rogue cowboy and Tim as a sheriff/deputy. Please give me a country fic of these boys. Its so perfect

I always thought it would be the other way around with Keith being Kon and Lance being Tim but after reading yj98 and like old superboy comics wheres hes basically like "please please please be my friend!" I see the vision i see the energy i see the vibe ‼🗣

You have no idea the demons I fought to not turn this little comic angsty. I might still do it, I haven’t decided yet.

For some unfathomable reason Kon doesn’t like Jason that much.

We are once again entering headcannon alley where everything I say goes. So basically Tim has never really been good at receiving or giving compliments to people, instead he usually just ends up listing attributes or characteristics that person has (wether it’s good or bad he’ll just point it out and in his mind it counts as a compliment.). His understanding is that to be seen is to be loved, so most of his ‘compliments’ are him calling out repeated traits or actions. For example, a compliment he might give to Jason, or maybe Damian, would be “You have a short temper.” Or “ You often solve problems with violence.”

he’s not trying to call people out or anything, he just genuinely thinks it’s a compliment to pick up on other peoples patterns and let them know that he’s noticed them.

Another compliment he might give is something extremely straightforward and obvious like “You have Blue eyes.”

Kon was only supposed to have like two or three piercings but somehow he ended up with more. This is my first time drawing him but I love him so much

Bruce: Are you making differences between bio kids and adopted kids? 'Cause I have some big news for you, alien boy.

Clark: You had a son with Talia al Ghul.

Bruce: Listen, it was an accident-

Clark: Are you telling me you just happened to get Talia al Ghul pregnant?

Bruce: You knocked up Lois!

Clark: We were engaged? She's not my arch-enemy?? I didn't keep it from you???

Bruce: Hey, cut me some slacks! I was a bit shocked! I mean, how would you react if you found out to have a secret child with Lex Luthor?!

Clark: *nervous laugh*

Bruce: ???

Clark: What an odd choice of words...

After this premesis let's talk about Tim clone problem and Timkon clone baby. So Tim mixed his DNA with the one of Kon and ended up in a baby. Usually in fics the baby ends up resembling Tim or Kon or both of them, so with Black hair and blue eyes and all, what if the baby ended up resembling both Lex and Janet Drake, so with Lex red hair and Janet eyes, and for face a mixture of both Kon and Tim?

Not Superman's clone AU

When Lex took Clark's DNA to make a clone, none of his scientists could make it work.

Failure after failure after failure, until finally one of them went to an old lab they used to work at. It had been falling into ruin, mostly empty due to layoffs. The government agency that had been in charge of it had been long disbanded w/ the meta protections that had been signed into law.

So it was rather easy to get in; no one had bothered to cancel this scientists credentials.

There was a specimen, permanently asleep thanks to layers upon layers of security; the first metahumans ever recorded.

Phantom, Plasmius, and Phantasm.

They took Phantom's DNA, as he looked most like Superman, and snuck it back to Lex's labs, and it worked perfectly.

And thus, Conner was born/made.

Everyone used the altered report that the group of scientists made to say he was Superman's clone.

Until, after the dust has settled and Conner died and came back, he has another DNA test run.

His other donor is not Superman at all.

His other donor's information was under layer upon layer of high tech security, and breaking through them resulted in the American Government making baseless threats against the Justice League.

But with Oracle, Cyborg, and Red Robin's help, he found out who it was.

His real donor/father was deep underground, trapped in a lab, and unable to escape.

He leaks the information to the press, and suddenly everyone knows about the first metahumans and what happened to them. What was still happening to them. How most of the worlds insane advances in technology and medicine was due to human experimentation on them.

Now the American Government is trying to calm down the public, and claiming they had no idea what was going on.

Danny wakes up, disoriented, slumped in the arms of an extremely worried teenager that keeps calling him "dad".

His response, while waking up and confused?

"Alright, don't mind kids anyways. Ellie'll be thrilled."

He really does not expect the teen to burst into tears.

For the purpose of the AU, I was imagining Danny as in his mid thirties before he was tricked by the GIW and trapped.
