Unintentional Stalker Tim Drake AU
I love the interactions where Tim is his canonical weirdo fanboy self, but consider the idea that he never meant to stalk the bats.
Tim’s parents are gone, away on another dig, and Tim decides that instead of sitting in the quiet manor again, alone with only his TV to keep him company, he would grab his camera and take aesthetic photos of nighttime Gotham.
He’s quiet as he looks for a good spot to take his first photos, and when he finds a cool angle of a building against the setting sun he takes a photo.
He did not expect to see Batman and Robin mid jump between rooftops.
He quickly looked up from the photo, but any sign of the bats having been there are gone. Tim’s slightly disappointed, but decides to head home early, not wanting to risk being caught out alone.
The next night, he returns to the streets, camera slung around his neck and heading in the opposite direction of where he last saw the vigilantes. He sees a cool reflection of the moon being framed by a street lamp, and with the click of a button he takes the photo.
He again captured Batman and Robin, this time grappling in the distance, their silhouettes obvious against the light of the moon. When Tim looked up from the picture, they were gone.
Awe aside, he’s getting annoyed that the two masked crusaders keep photobombing his pictures. He walks down a few streets, climbs a tree, and takes a landscape photograph. Almost hesitant, Tim looks at the result.
Robin is chasing a low level gang member across the street.
This keeps happening: Tim goes out into Gotham’s night in an attempt to take photos of the city, and every time time Batman and Robin- sometimes just one of them sometimes both- unintentionally fall into the camera’s path as Tim snaps a photo.
In the background of his photos he’s captured Batman scolding Robin, the duo eating ice cream, Robin trying to walk on a power line, and even a couple of their fights with some of the rogues, along with many more photos.
On one particular night, as Tim gets his camera to focus against a satellite dish against the sky, he sees Robin do a quadruple somersault.
Tim is quickly able to figure out their identities like in canon, and when Jason comes in to take over the Robin mantle, Tim discovers his identity too with little to no problem.
Tim keeps up with his photo shoots, not nearly as annoyed of the photobombs as he used to be but refusing to give up until he has one clean shot of just the city and nothing else.
When Jason dies, and Tim sees Bruce dishing out broken bones and ICU visits to everyday thugs, he knows he’s got to do something. After all, they’ve been entwined longer than the bats know.

Description:
A small slip of a thing drifts into the alley, tiny and minuscule from his perch on the roof. The red hoodie dwarfs the kid, making him seem that much smaller and weaker than he is. From the side of his pants, the kid draws out a tire iron and crouches by the edge of the Batmobile, looking around furtively to make sure he’s alone. He even chances a look up but Jason’s been in the game for too long to let some scrawny kid see him. He can feel the anxiety pouring off him in waves, mostly because a phantom of it has spurted in his gut and is clawing through his windpipe upwards. There’s no way. Not tonight, not this day, the fates would be too cruel.
After a moment, the kid starts to steal the tires of the Batmobile.

Bruce sighs. He’s got his eyes closed, like it physically pains him to even look at Jason. Like he’s this broken, mangled version of himself and not what he’s already been, just as broken and just as warped. His disguise has only been wiped away now, washed with the rain and leaving the scraps of his paint streaking across the ground like an ugly oil spill. Jason’s always been this disfigured, this broken, and it’s about time his body started looking like it.
Yall i NEED a TimKon AU where Kon is a cowboy/rodeo preformer and Tim is the classic City Boy.
Think about it like OH MY GOOOOD its so perfect???? Clark grew up in Kansas you know when hes relaxed hes got a southern accent and Kon lived on the farm for ages. He'd have the accent and then the sexy ass cowboy hat and the confident attitude he already has !!! And, idk, you could go real hallmark with it and say that Tim has gone to the country side to relax from work or hes there to buy land and then realizes how bad it would be - i dont know, i dont care. I need a fic where Kon is dancing in a hodown (i have no idea how to spell that) and Tim is like smiling and laughing and then Kon teaches him how and Kon takes him on the farm and they ride horses or smt. Think about the tension. The jokes. The way their dynamic wouldnt really change from canon; Kon the confident, coy and loud one whith Tim the fussy, snarky and lowkey kinda spoiled one. Im talking like Hannah Montana the Movie vibes. Im talking Footlose happiness levels. Minimal angst. Or you could go real old school cowboys with Kon as a rogue cowboy and Tim as a sheriff/deputy. Please give me a country fic of these boys. Its so perfect
i reblogged this and then immediatly sat down and opened up a new doc because a child formed herself in my brain and the brain rot grew and grew from there so now i have the bare bones of a multi chapter fic of this kid and jason growing closer together while he heals from everything thats happened and she figures out her own life as well its so silly jasons my skrunkly little guy
Jason knows that when he approaches kids in his entire get up that they're scared of him, and in crises that's... not great. So he's taken to carrying sticker books with him. He has enough pockets for it. He offers the kids stickers, and he lets them put the stickers on his helmet. He has dozens of Red Hood helmets now, all of them have an amalgamation of new and faded stickers.
The rest of the family tries to make fun of him for it, but Jason just holds out his sticker books like "You seem stressed, have a sticker."

Ik this isn’t my usual fanart but I got to design a poster for any city in my illustration class and I chose Gotham (because I’m a nerd). So I hope you enjoy it regardless

If I had a nickel for every time I drew Tim insisting that Jason is a good person I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s sad that it’s happened twice.

POV: You come home after selling drugs to kids only to find a visitor waiting for you. He doesn’t seem happy.
saw someone point out that Tim wasn’t immediately jumping to become Robin, and that he had gone to Dick multiple times before deciding that he himself had to step in. I don’t think Tim blames Dick but I do think there’s a tiny bit of resentment because he doesn’t fully understand why Dick couldn’t just come back to Gotham in order to help Bruce instead of a complete stranger doing it.
POV: Some rando hit your brother on patrol and you have five seconds to come up with an excuse as to why you reacted with extreme violence.
My plan is to draw everyone’s suits in my style. Last time was Jason and now it’s Dick’s turn.
Part 3!!! This is the finale part! As you can see Jason does feel a teeny tiny bit of guilt for what happened but he’ll probably never admit it out loud. Also I don’t think Tim’s hero worship for Jason ever truly went away, even after all the murder attempts.

Part 2!! I feel like every time I draw them they look different. It also doesn’t help that in the last part I forgot to add in Tim’s freckles but that’s okay we’ll just ignore that detail!
Jason emerging from the pit! I like to think it literally had to stitch him back together, cause you know, my guy got blown to bits in a warehouse. Also if you notice that the scar on his face doesn’t match my other drawings of him it’s because this is before he cuts the J off. I always imagined Jason wanting to get rid of any reminders of his death, even if that included cutting part of his face off.

Duke and Jason have been banned from being anywhere near each other in costume because the arguments they will break out into is both too intense and too distracting for patrol. Everyone thinks they're serious but after the first 10-20 times they do it for the love of the game.

Dick Grayson: Hello?
Jason Todd: Dick, what happened to the Joker?
Dick Grayson: Cats ate his face. Here, Damian knows more about it than I do.
