one good thing about being chronically ill that i learned about this week is when you need to drive your friend to the hospital for drinking too much alcohol you know your way around and exactly where to go
SAY IT WITH ME: MEDICAL GASLIGHTING IS MALPRACTICE
there are things i need to do, but i can't cause i'm sick
i ate a dry piece of bread... nothing else... my stomach feels like someone is stabbing me
despite going to the doctor way too often there are still so many things wrong that i don't even know where to start
(the list of things i should probably get checked is loooong)
healthy people will never understand the amount of joy i feel when i come home dreading having to feed myself to then realize i still got leftovers
so my school decided cause there were too many absences last year to note it on report cards which is whatever BUT they are gonna make a special note about it if you miss over 12 hours (even if it's excused, which is btw less time than i spent at hospitals the last month) so no matter what happens basically you have to go which is dumb
first of all i think doctors notes should completely excuse it because then it wasn't just staying at home for fun... also my school is the only one doing it in this region so only we will have disadventages when applying to university and yk how little 12 hours are? shit happens, like so many things can happen that you have no control over
a teacher offered to try to find a solution for me which i am thankfull for, but also this isn't only about me:
"oh but it probably won't affect you" i don't care it's still unfair
feeling a flare up coming, but trying to push it down cause there is stuff to do... knowing very well it will do nothing... if anything it'll make it worse
Being chronically ill and a “normal” illness on top of it (cold, flu etc etc) SUCKS
I see you
It sucks and it’s twice as painful and you’re twice as nauseous and can’t keep anything down and have less than the zero energy you had before
I see you I’m sorry it sucks and I’m right here with you
when i am really fatigued i always say "i feel like i'n melting"
because that's what my muscles feel like and for some reason people seem to get that this at least isn't good instead of responding with the usual "i am tired too"
gonna start answering "i hope you get better" with "thanks, i probably won't"
like i hope so too it's just not realistic rn
