unless they specifically asked, you don’t get to tell a fanfic writer you think they mischaracterized the character by the way. because the second someone writes a fanfic about a character, that character becomes the writer’s own version of the character. canon is only a suggestion, but whether or not an author will follow it / how much of canon an author will take is entirely up to them. you don’t get to stick your nose in their world and tell them “hey this is not to my liking therefore I think you’re doing it wrong” when you can simply leave quietly and move on to something else you may enjoy

So the Kirby wiki is advertising their list of misconceptions page, which addresses a lot of widespread commonly held beliefs about the Kirby series which are all untrue. Such as "Kirby can fucking talk" and "Kirby doesn't say Poyo" ect. The Kirby wiki is very well written and researched and sourced and articulated in general and this page is a delightful headlined addition.
People have been responding to this by saying "WE NEED SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR SONIC!" which is true, the problem with that being that the only Sonic wiki is Fandom slop and there isn't an independent fan wiki for Sonic like there is for Kirby. But yes, Sonic would definitely benefit from a misconceptions page. However it would not solve all the problems with misconceptions about Sonic. Because sadly, a good chunk of the perpetuated misconceptions about Sonic are not the result of ignorance, but deliberate malice. Some people are, in fact, spreading what they know to be misconceptions about Sonic ON PURPOSE out of spite.
For example, a Sonic Misconceptions page explaining that it isn't and has never been called "Mobius" in the games wouldn't cut down on people calling it "Mobius" and its inhabitants "Mobians." Because the problem is at least half the people calling it "mobius" KNOW that it ISN'T "mobius", but they insist on calling it that anyway because they hate the video games.

They DON'T actually enjoy the comics at all. They JUST hate the video games.

Because they are INCAPABLE of saying a SINGLE positive thing about the comics WHATSOEVER without bringing up how shit they think the games are.
If they "just" enjoyed the comics, they shouldn't have to mention the existence of the games AT ALL.
But they don't, and can't, ever JUST say what they like about the comics. They ALWAYS make snide remarks at best against the video games, if not base the entire foundation of their espoused enjoyment for the comics off of asserting how much "better" they are than the games.
So no. They do not call it Mobius because they prefer the comics.
They call it mobius because they HATE the video games.
50% of the people calling it mobius do so BECAUSE they HATE the video games
the other half have heard the lie told 1000 times and assume it to be truth.
A misconceptions page about Sonic wouldn't be an instant fix, because the fact of the matter is the enemies are inside the gates. And frankly, I fear such a page would simply become a editing war waged by people trying to exploit its existence to PERPETUATE misconceptions.

A binder is a piece of medical equipment. If you use one incorrectly, or use a poorly made one, you can really fuck up your ribs. This article from the Cleveland Clinic talks about how to bind safely.
A $14 binder is guaranteed not to be safe. There's a reason reputable companies charge more- sometimes a lot more. They have to carefully design binders so they don't crush your ribs or make you sick.

Please take the time to read this. I need help desperately to keep my car which is the only place left I have to sleep.
I'm a struggling trans masc. I'm homeless and living out of my partners car right now that I can barely afford (it's about 500 a month). I took on tons of commissions to afford basic necessities like food, hygiene and medical supplies. Even after not paying for phone service and staying outside stores and restaurants to use their public wifi we have no money. My partner has tried applying to almost every job available and no one will get back to us. We were targeted by a lgbt housing support group and had all resources cut off from us because me and my partner are trans masc.
I'm burnt out and it feels like I'm slowly dying. I've only eaten uncooked spam, peanut butter and tortillas in the past week. I'm trying to stay happy enough to work or push myself through the pain and still make art but I can't. And I know soon enough impatient clients will start demanding refunds because as a homeless person people don't view me as worthy of living.
If you can offer any help please do. We try to be very careful with our money to help us survive longer. Please help us pay for our car or at least help us pay for gas so our car doesn't get towed. We desperately need help as we're both disabled and our families both have distanced themselves from us.
This isn't us just asking for a hand out. We're scared, exhausted and we can't make it on the street. We're barely surviving now and if we lose this car I don't know if I'll be able to stay alive much longer.
Please help. Give me advice or at least wish us luck please. I don't want to die before I reach 30. Art is my only source of income you can check out my kofi if you are only interested in art.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:
IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.
1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.
2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.
3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”
4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”
5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.
TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

People with chronic illnesses, or people recovering from illness or accidents often have outrageous medical bills that they have to pay off. When medical debt is recorded on credit reports it makes it harder to borrow money, buy a home, get a car, etc. All these make it harder to work, live, and pay off the medical debt.
If this doesn't effect you, congrats, but it is an incredibly important thing for a lot of people.
