Experience Tumblr like never before
Friday the 13th and H20Delirious??? Gimme a fuckin’ pen - I’ll write this AU myself.
Oh my god I need more Father!Jason and Delirious. I can imagine Delirious trying to introduce him to Vanoss and Cartoonz and Jason ends up being extremely protective of his smol kid
and when those three got home…
I would also like some luck, for both my friends and I. It is going to be a little rough as I work and try to balance out the projects I have planned on top of learning how to pay rent and learn to fend for myself somewhat.
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god
This is actually HUGE!
People with chronic illnesses, or people recovering from illness or accidents often have outrageous medical bills that they have to pay off. When medical debt is recorded on credit reports it makes it harder to borrow money, buy a home, get a car, etc. All these make it harder to work, live, and pay off the medical debt.
If this doesn't effect you, congrats, but it is an incredibly important thing for a lot of people.
Could we crash tumblr if we all posted the word "crash" on the 1st of april 2022, 12:35 EST?
The only reason I knew Sailor Moon / DBZ were both anime was because my cousins helped me differentiate early on. (I rewatched the first and second season semi-recently and wow, my heart hurts)
But if you’re talking my first full on kick into the anime scene was a Naruto hyperfixation that grabbed me by the throat at 9 years old.
I didn’t watch Death Note until middle school.
I did end up rediscovering my love for both Sailor Moon and DBZ in my adult years
Everyone’s starter anime is death note.
I don’t count sailor moon or dbz cuz you watched those as a kid and assumed they were cartoons.
I mean when you got “into” anime fully aware of what it was and actually became immmmmmersed in this bizarre weeb culture.
It’s usually death note.
Oh, bby, I'm so sorry I forgot to reblog this!!!
But fuCK THIS NEW PART

Diavolo paced back and forth in his office; he saw the entire scene play down below- all he could muster up was a tired sigh before he walked back to slouch at his desk. He rubbed his temples as he stared at the tall stack of paperwork calling his name.
He had to stay strong through this entire process for you. You needed him as a leader more than ever. You needed him to play the guardian angel- or guardian demon in this case.
Barbatos stood silently behind his young master, he watched as the redhead tugged at the roots of his hair. He tsk’ed to himself; his young lord really wasn’t the best at dealing with stress if it regarded someone he loved. He places a gloved hand on the tense man’s shoulder, squeezing lightly, “Young Master, I’m sure that you’re having a hard time but I can assure you that all your efforts will be worth it in the end. You’re simply doing what is best for your exchange students-” Diavolo shoots up from his seat, startling his butler. Barbatos is even more stunned when he sees the tears welling up in the Prince's eyes.
“It doesn’t feel right, Barbatos. We can say that we’re trying to protect the exchange program but at the cost of the wellbeing of one of my exchange students? Am I… Am I doing the wrong thing?”
Before Barbatos could answer, the Avatars of Sin burst through the office doors. Lucifer carries you toward the velvet sofa near the desk in a panic. He glanced down at you, he saw the slow rise and fall of your chest and breathed out a sigh of pure relief. He sees your necklace go from black to an array of different colors but it lands on this dark purple.
Strange.
Belphegor gasps as he feels a wave of pain shock him to his very core. It wasn’t unbearable per se but it was enough to have the seventh-born fall to his knees. “Belphie!” The magical telepathic bond Beelzebub shared with Belphegor flared up, causing the ginger to fall to his knees as well.
The pain kept crashing down on them, wave after wave as it started getting worse. What started out as a pain similar to a dog’s bite started to grow tenfold and it became the pain similar to having a knife shanked through your chest with the perpetrator who stabbed you twisting the handle and the blade at an agonizing snail’s pace. After what seemed like an eternity of pain, it stopped.
You wake up in Lucifer’s arms.
You blink blearily, the light fixture in the office blinded you for a moment and in your state of delirium, you pulled the warm touch enveloping you close. A strong scent hits your nose, a smell of expensive bourbon and tobacco drawing you into a state of comfort. For some reason, the scent smelt like… home.
Lucifer is silent, he’s frozen in place. He’s afraid that once he moves, you’ll cower away from him as if he were a monster but… in a way he really was. The way you grasp at his hands before tucking yourself closer to his chest- it made his heart race in equal parts fear and adoration.
Peace has never really been a card in his deck.
You glance up and the first thing you see are these mesmerizing red eyes; they have you gasping in awe. You blink and before you know it, your chest constricts once more as your mind is flooded with what seems like another awful nightmare- strong black wings as dark as night, a man grasps at your forearm so harshly that his fingertips leave bruises but… then there’s this face…
A tired face pops up from propped arms. He seems to have been asleep on a desk and when he looks up at you, he smiles boyishly.
Your heart quickens once more when you blink and in the next scenario, those same blood red eyes peer at you with such anger and hatred in your visions.
What on Earth is going on?!
Lucifer, for a moment, forgets his brothers and the crowned Prince. His attention is all yours. He watches as you shake in his arms, your eyes glazed over as you tighten your hands into fists. The necklace shifts from purple to red.
What sorcery- Solomon.
He swiftly places you on the sofa just as he staggers to his knees. His brothers, all of whom were attending to the youngest twins a few moments before, had all turned their attention to their eldest brother in surprise. They couldn’t do a single thing except watch with wide eyes the way Lucifer tried his hardest to keep any sounds of pain to himself.
A sharp gasp escaped his lips.
You shakily sit up to watch the black-haired demon kneel by the foot of the sofa. You kept your gaze down as you tried to peek at the group standing by the door. Putting two and two together, you realized quickly that seeing their faces caused unbearable fear to seep into your heart and soul. You knew they had something to do with your memory loss. A part of you, a tiny fragment of your heart, knew that you loved them but you had no clue as to why. You had to start small; if you couldn’t look them in the eye, you needed to know a little bit about them at the very least.
You started with their shoes.
Your eyes dart between them, their feet to be exact, and you huff to yourself. They all wore the same shoes— all their shoes were black dress shoes. A classy style, sure, but it's hard to differentiate them this way. You take a shaky breath and look up, your eyes meet a redhead's sympathetic stare.
You wait for a moment to see how your body would react to him. His eyes were incredibly kind. A beautiful amber hue reminiscent of the gemstones in your mother's old jewelry, his gaze was sweet like honey.
You felt safe.
Slowly rising from the sofa, you scurry over to him quickly, "I-I'm sorry if I make you feel uncomfortable…" you trail off as you bury your face into his blood red uniform.
You miss the guilty smile on his face.
"You've got nothing to worry about, (MC). It's alright." He cooes, his big hands pat you on the head and on the back comfortingly. You breathe in his scent and you swear you could melt in his arms then and there.
He smelt a touch like cedarwood and vanilla; almost like a sweet campfire without the smoke. "I can assume that we were friends before the accident then?" Your voice sounded muffled against the red suede leather.
He chuckles heartily but softly, he's still hyper aware of the seven normally protective and jealous demon lords in his presence. "Yes, we were close. My name is Diavolo and—"
You quickly pull away, eyes wide with embarrassment, "My Lord! Simeon and Solomon mentioned your name before I came back to RAD. I apologize for my actions-" You bow quickly, heart beating against your chest. You felt cold the minute you pulled away from his arms.
He made you feel at home— safe from the possible dangers that stood around the room behind you.
Diavolo frowns, eyebrows furrowed as he grabs your hands in his, "Drop the formalities, (MC). With the way you're acting, it's almost as if this is the first time we've spoken. Like I mentioned, we're close friends… " He whispers, he could feel his heart cracking as you avoided his gaze.
Curse his title.
His gaze wanders over to Barbatos and he gives his butler a simple nod. He springs into action at the approval of his Lord, he quickly pulls Lucifer up from the floor and ushers the Avatars of Sin out of the room. Mammon yells out a complaint, "Lord Diavolo! This ain't fair, we just wanna talk to them!"
The door is shut behind Barbatos.
You slowly turn around and realize that you and Diavolo were left alone, "If you decide later that you want to talk to them, they'll be in a meeting room a few doors down. For now, I just want to talk to you." He says warmly, guiding you over to his table to seat you in a plush armchair.
Barbatos leads the Avatars down the hall, only two doors down. If they were all humans, they’d have to sit in uneasy silence as they await for your time and presence but they aren’t humans. Demons are known to have incredibly keen senses, their vision is approximately fifty times better than yours, same goes for their sense of smell and hearing. It’s common knowledge in the Devildom that as long as you focus on a particular voice, as long as they’re in the general vicinity, you could practically eavesdrop. It’s almost like they were in the room with you and Diavolo. All they had to do was focus on you.
The brothers held out a sliver of hope; they wanted to believe that Diavolo and Barbatos did that on purpose.
Diavolo passed you a cup of bloodberry and cinnamon tea from a silver tray; Barbatos came prepared once again. His eyes screamed kindness and understanding; if he tried to pry information out of you, you’d probably willingly tell him everything he’d want or need to know. “So, could you tell me what happened? Why did the Avatars of Sin rush into my office looking the way they did?”
He avoided mentioning the ghastly looks on the faces of the brothers, the way they looked like death incarnate. The stress was becoming too much for even the strongest demons in his Realm.
You look down at your lap sheepishly, your cheeks dusting a light pink as you wring your fingers together, "I don't really know who they are. I mean, from the way they reacted and the way my heart… The way my heart aches when I see them— I think I know them." you say softly.
"When I saw their face, the one that carries the cow print pillow, I just… I felt like I was being strangled. I couldn't breathe- it was… awful." You whispered, voice wavering as your bottom lip quivered. Tears formed and threatened to fall down your cheeks.
You were so emotionally exhausted, you were honestly surprised that you had enough in your tear ducts to form anything at all.
Lucifer's breath hitches in his throat as he presses his face against the wall. His brothers were standing in a similar fashion across the room, all of them standing by the same brown wall painted the shade of dark chocolate; they all struggled to stick around to listen to the rest of what you were saying but it was like they were sailors caught in a particularly rough storm, hypnotized by a siren's song.
They couldn't pull away to save themselves from the heartache.
Belphegor whimpered quietly near the corner of the room, ear still pressed up to be able to more clearly hear what you were saying. Beelzebub grimaced; hearing his twin feel anything aside from happiness made him want to tear down whatever was upsetting the seventh-born but he was caught in the middle. He loved you, absolutely adored you and seeing you under so much stress and fear makes him want to leave the Devildom in ruins to find whoever did this to you but he was in denial.
All he had to do was look in a mirror to see the monster that took away your happiness.
Diavolo rounded the table and sat across from you in a similar loveseat, eyebrows knitted together with a sympathetic look on his face, "Hush, (MC). You do not need to tell me anything in detail. I know it must be difficult to deal with any of this. Say, how did Solomon or Simeon explain your current situation?"
You nodded slowly and told the Crowned Prince, in depth, how your guardians explained everything to you.
Simeon handed you a cup with hot chocolate as you snuggled into a pile of blankets and pillows. Your entire body was engulfed in the quilted material, save for your face that you poked out from under the makeshift cubby. You were all gathered in the living room upon Luke's late night request of pulling an all-nighter with all four of you involved to find some sense of normality in a situation so… scary. Apparently before the accident, you and the three boys had gotten matching pajamas made with your initials embroidered in gold into the breast pocket. The styles were exactly the same but you all had your pajamas made in your favorite colors. You all donned on the complete sets with the matching sleep caps that night.
Luke was cuddled up to your right, a baby's sippy cup in his hands as he pouted at the older angel. According to Simeon, Luke tended to get sleepy after a cup of cocoa and because of it, the fledgling angel was made to drink lukewarm cocoa from an obnoxious purple sippy cup with tiny versions of popular kid's show characters scribbled on the plastic.
"You act like I'm a toddler!" Luke cried; you didn't miss the tiny "In a way, you kind of are." that came out in a whisper from Simeon's lips. You giggle to yourself as you watch Solomon mess around with the TV settings.
A few hours pass and you've watched a total of 3 movies, all of which had PG ratings and came from the human world. You were kind of going crazy from all the musical numbers and the underlying lessons the movies had. Be a good person, be a hero, learn to share— you gritted your teeth as you smiled and Luke started clapping after a particularly "heavy" scene. (You were all watching Wreck-It-Ralph and Luke was weeping during the scene where Ralph decided to sacrifice himself for the greater-good.)
Taking a short break from the movies, you all sit in a circle as you talk about anything and everything. One conversation led to another and that led to you nervously asking about the accident.
"Hey Solomon, Simeon… What happened to me?"
"They told me that… I lost my memory of almost the last two years from an accident I went through when I was practicing magic. Apparently I touched a- uh, I think it was a cursed grimoire and I had chanted the incantation on the top. I accidentally made myself lose my memories." You say with hesitation. Diavolo hummed in thought.
That's what they went with?
He nodded slowly and with a flick of his wrist, you see a small, worn out book emerge from under the desk. You hear the soft thud of wood hitting you and surmise that he managed to open his desk drawer with magic. You couldn't stop the amazed gasp that escaped your lips. Diavolo smiles this watery smile. “We hung out a lot here in my office before the accident. You loved seeing all of us use our magic, as you liked to call it, and I guess some things never change.” He teases lightly, eyes locked onto pages. He flipped through the book, seemingly searching for something in particular.
The book in his hands was slightly dusty and the pages were a shade of dark yellow, it seemed to be older than you were. He stops halfway into flipping through the pages, eyes scanning text written in a language you were unfamiliar with. “I had Barbatos, my butler, go through books and books of methods to get your memory back and… well, it’s a difficult process. (MC)... your memory loss wasn’t self-inflicted…” He trailed off, voice faltering when he looked at you.
Your happy expression fades and you can feel your heart thrum wildly with an emotion you couldn’t name. Fear? No, not quite. You can only describe it as confusion, “No, Simeon and Solomon said…”
Diavolo holds a hand up, frown etched on his face, “I apologize for what I’m about to spring on you but Simeon and Solomon lied to you. Before you get upset with them, they had their reasons, (MC), they were simply trying to protect you—” He stops mid-sentence, seeing your eyes fill with panic and… anger.
You’ve been lied to over and over… over and over?
You didn’t understand the sudden anger overcoming you; it was as if a dam broke in your heart and the rapids were rushing down to consume you in your entirety. You couldn’t grasp why you were angry, nothing made sense as you sobbed dryly, hand shooting up to cover your mouth, “They told me I did this… I caused my memory loss… Yuki said the same thing…” You whispered.
Your eyes were wide with pure, unadulterated anger and confusion and… above all, Diavolo could physically see the disappointment. That hurt more than anything else. The ancient book fell to the ground, the sound was deafening to your ears. He’s quick to grab your hands before you could try to tear your hair out, “They had to, (MC)! I- I told them to do this for you!—” A sharp sting shoots from his cheek as his head turns to the side.
You slapped him.
Ragged breathing filled the air and two hearts stayed bubbling with extreme emotions. One full of sorrow whilst the other was filled with anger, “You all lied to me. You’re… You’re all in on it.” You scoffed, salty tears slipping past your lips; your tongue tingles lightly from the taste. You’ve cried so much…
You’re just tired.
You harshly push past the Crowned Prince, turning to walk out the door, “Lord Diavolo, do me a favor: All of you need to stay away from me. You, Yuki, those demons that caused this, even the boys in Purgatory Hall. I… I need some time to process this.” You turn the golden knob, the etching in the metal feels cold in your grasp.
You slam the door behind you before you break out into a run.
You ran; You ran and ran and ran out of the building and through the grounds of the school. Demons of different forms from different classes eyed you, some eyes were confused, other eyes were glaring but it all felt too much. You needed to get out of here. Your lungs burned from the air you breathed in and from all the heaving you did. You were surprised you didn’t vomit.
Blurry eyes and tired feet. You didn’t realize you managed to get past the school gates; you didn’t hear Yuki yelling from behind you before she lost you in the crowd that passed. You shuddered as you sobbed; you just felt so tired and it was just so frustrating to not know anything. The people you trusted the most, the people you depended on to explain things to you again, the people you expected to tell you the truth were the very people that lied to you, the people who hid things from you.
You found yourself in a wooded area just beyond the school grounds, there were no demons, no holy beings, no humans— no one to hurt you here. You drop to your knees as you cry; you scream into your hands as you kneeled. You teeter on the line of delusion and reality. What you would give to take the pain away. Your heart hurt and felt heavy in your chest..
Broken spirits normally attract evil spirits in the human realm. Urban legends from all cultures are born from tales mothers used to tell to keep their children in line but in a realm full of demons, full of the despicable beings that your silly human tales revolve around, does a broken soul attract attention?
You felt a hand grip your shoulder tenderly, “(MC)?” That voice…
Merihem.
A demon stands above a pathetic little human; a human so broken and vulnerable. Tired, dreary eyes look up at the man in all black, his face seemed nice enough, they deluded themself into believing. Tired, dreary eyes look into his blackened soul and he feels a delicious shiver run down his spine, Tired and dreary, tired and dreary— blood rushes down south. He licks his lips; teeth sharpened into fangs dig into his chapped lips, hard enough that they draw blood.
“Come, (MC). I’m here. Tell me how I can help.” He kneels beside you, eyeing the black necklace laying cold against your neck. It doesn’t shift colors, his hands snake down your waist with ease. He smirks.
You shiver in his grasp, eyes fluttering and fighting to stay open as he hands you a light blue handkerchief. What a nice demon… You blow your nose into the soft fabric. It smelt sickeningly sweet with tones of a chemical scent. You felt dizzy.
Your vision fills with beautiful gold and black dots before you fall limp in Merihem’s arms.
Tired little breakable human, in the arms of a big strong demon.
The day fades into night and the cold winds are starting to pick up the fallen leaves on the ground; the student council, with the help of the exchange students, had been searching for you for hours on end. You were like a magnet for danger, you were so spunky and headstrong and at times, you were put into danger from your own stubbornness—
This was one of those times. Though as faint as small footsteps in the sand at the beach, your pacts with them were still there. They’d feel for you, touching the pact mark every so often to feel your heartbeat.
It was slow but it was there; you were holding on.
The brothers were hopeful but deep down, they were expecting the very worst to have happened to you. You seemed unlike yourself from their constant checking of your vitals. You seemed weak. They were holding onto any sense of hope— they held out for you. Beelzebub and Belphegor paired up and they searched the fields for you; the brothers knew you were still alive. Beelzebub’s sense of smell was keener than other demons, including his brothers, and he’d been searching for your scent. You smelt sweet, not sickeningly so, and you didn’t seem like a dessert, you hadn’t seemed like a meal for months now; you were like a festival night in summertime. He caught the slightest of whiffs from the forest, a place he’s quite familiar with because of his Fangol training.
He grabbed Belphegor’s arm and broke out into a sprint, “Guys, I think they’re here.” He bellowed, catching the attention of those who were also searching for you.
Into the woods they all went.
They looked everywhere; in the trees, in small holes in the ground— they were about to lose hope in searching for you and the Devildom Moon rose to the skies, the blood red light gleaming down at them sickened them to the depths of their beings.
Then they find you… with Merihem.
They stop running to you, eyeing the being holding you close to his chest, a devious smile on the offending demon’s face, “Well, well, look who we all have here! The student council and the exchange students! How absolutely… wonderful.” Lucifer steps forward, body threatening to break out into his demon form but he keeps a lid on his emotions for now, “Merihem? You’re behind all this?” He spits out, venom lacing every syllable.
Yuki glances between Merihem and the eldest of the Avatars, “You know him?” Mammon pulled her as she tried making a run towards you, “Yuki stop it! Listen here, Merihem’s dangerous. He… He’s tried to get into the student council for years now— He’s killed other demons for a chance to even be considered.” Mammon explains quietly.
Merihem’s smile turns into more of him baring his teeth at the group. He pulls on the clasp at the front of his coat and he takes it off. He hums to himself as he takes his sweet time wrapping your limp body in his clothing. He then takes off his school coat, leaving him in his black undershirt. He was a strange looking fellow. He’s as tall as Lucifer and his body’s built in a similar way but… the scars littering every inch of his body was a sight. He’s covered in fresh and old wounds, many of the fresher wounds have scabbed over. The wounds were all of varying degrees of scary but they were all long and deep, reminiscent of wounds from the talons of… other demons. He cracks his knuckles and smiles this sinister smile directly at Yuki, “You like what you see eh, human?”
Mammon growls at him.
Merihem snarls at the second-born, “Give it a fucking break, Mammon. I don’t care about your precious little human girl. I got what I want right here.” He purrs, arms tightening around you. He’s coddled you, wrapped you up like a little baby in his coat. Your cheeks were tear-stained and your lips were pursed into a frown.
“They’re not yours, Merihem. Give them back to us lest you want to face the wrath of the strongest demons in all of Hell.” Lucifer warns lowly, blackened ash seemingly falling from his head as his horns grow atop his soft black hair. His wings unfurl slowly; the Avatar of Pride made an effort to make a show to somewhat frighten the demon sitting before him.
It works the way he plans but Merihem doesn’t budge.
“You threw them aside! You don’t fucking deserve them, none of you do! I found them crying, in the middle of the woods, smelling so sweetly and… well, you should be glad that I’ve just been holding them in my arms. I decided that I’d rather have them the way I want them when they consent. I could’ve indulged in my depravity—” Strong black wings knock the air out of Merihem’s lungs, the demon goes flying before his back makes harsh contact with the trunk of an old red oak tree. He hears his bones snap from the pressure;
He cries out in pain.
You were sent tumbling out of Merihem’s hold, your body unwrapping from the gross fabric of the creep’s coat, “(M-MC)!” Leviathan sprints to you, engulfing your smaller form in his; the shy otaku front he always had melts away under the severity of the situation, the dorky Levi you adored replaced with the Grand Admiral of Hell’s Navy. Almost simultaneously, all the brothers transformed into their more sinister demon forms, not quite their final, true forms for Yuki’s sanity but they were close.
Leviathan gingerly picks you up, eyes scanning your face to look for the smallest of scratches. If that bastard dared lay a disgusting finger on your precious head, he’d see to the demon’s demise personally…
That is if there was anything left to torture after his older brothers are done with him.
Leviathan’s gaze was hard as he stared directly at Yuki, “Come with me.” He beckons, marching back towards the direction of the school. The remaining brothers watched as Lucifer slowly made his way to Merihem’s twitching form under the shade of the tree; Yuki glanced back and forth but before she could choose to stay, Satan’s tail latched itself onto her waist to fling her in Leviathan’s direction. Not too hard to have her falling but done with enough strength to give her a little warning.
“Go, Yuki.” He seemingly said. She runs after you and the third born.
Leviathan sprints off, glancing behind him every once in a while to ensure that Yuki was trailing behind. He made his way back home, arms and legs burning from the sudden exercise he had to do after seemingly millenia. He ignored the dull pain as he laid you down on the couch in the middle of the common room. Yuki locks the front door behind her, pulling on the many latches to ensure your trio’s safety for the time being.
You were cold, skin pale and breathing shallow. Leviathan takes your body and props it up slightly, looking for any and all indicators of potential… abuse. He takes his sweet time scanning every inch of your skin, well… the skin exposed and wasn’t too inappropriate. He and Yuki sat silently together, just tending to you for a solid half an hour or so. They warmed you up, patted your skin with wet tissue and towels to free you from the dirt you basically laid in for hours. Nothing came up on your limbs and your torso from what he could see, thank the fucking stars…
He would’ve relaxed but then… he made it to your neck and he saw the ugly purplish bruises forming on your supple skin.
That fucking bastard.
Yuki was kneeling by the couch at that point and as she stared at the ugly trail on your neck. She felt a cold gust of wind blow past her, almost knocking her over. She looked over at the demon beside her and she felt the coldest chill run through her body; Leviathan’s eyes were blazing with anger she’s never seen in him before. His body twitches ever so slightly before a large scaly tail erupts from behind him. She’s witnessed their demonic transformations before but something was different this time.
His tail was triple in size, the normal smooth and shiny snake-like scales were now bumpy and uneven and gleamed like an angler fish's bright light in the deepest depths of the unexplored waters. His antler-like horns were twisted and curved, brushing lower than before and curving just by his eyes. His fangs, before were on the stubbier side, were elongated and seemed to drip with a yellow venom she’s never seen before. It smelt salty like the ocean.
Yuki closed her eyes, heart racing in her chest as overwhelming fear filled her to the brim with a single glance at the creature that stood before her.
“How fucking dare he.” Was all she heard before she heard glass shatter; she screams and buries her face into your forearm.
She lets a moment pass; radio silence. She slowly lifts her head up to glance around. The common room had one window on the side that faces the tiny garden at the side of the house. It was made of hundreds of small pieces of stained glass that when looked at in one specific angle, formed the number seven in roman numerals. The once pristine mosaic was shattered, the shards were glimmering on the floor and a part of the actual window frame was missing.
Whatever Leviathan turned into had taken out quite a bit of the wall of the house.
A piece of a wooden beam that hung loosely from the break suddenly fell, crashing against the lower part of the glass- shattering it some more. Yuki winced at the loud sound but the ruckus seemed to prove to be an effective method of waking a sleeping person up as you shot up from the couch, your breathing sounding erratic. Yuki scrambles to sit up and wraps her arms around you, “(MC)!” She cried.
She didn’t expect you to push her off of you.
She blinked, “Wh- (MC), it’s me. I’m Yuki, remember?” She whispered meekly; she moved to grab your hand to try and soothe you but you simply pulled away with visible disgust. You remain silent for a minute or so, processing the day you had before you sighed, “I know who you are, okay? I remember everything.” You say tiredly. You glance around the room but your puffy eyes lock onto the pile of rubble and glass that Leviathan left in his wake.
“Where are the others? Where’s Merihem?”
“He’s been taken care of. I see you’re awake now, my dear.” A voice says from the doorway. Barbatos stands with an unreadable expression once again, but if you look closely, you’d see the smallest of frowns etched on his composed face. “... Barbatos. It’s nice to see you again.” You say monotonously.
For the first time since the start of this whole situation, you catch him by surprise.
You see the group of men that stood around behind the butler, you feel your head throb suddenly. They all shuffle over to you in a single line, heads hung low as you sat motionless on the couch. The demon brothers, the boys over in Purgatory Hall, the Prince and his demon butler- how sweet, everyone was present. They reeked of blood and burnt flesh; you decide to feign ignorance.
You stand up, wincing slightly at the exhaustion you felt all of the sudden, but you were thrown back down to the couch by Luke. You stare at him, surprised, “Oh, (MC)! I was so worried about you! I’m sorry I wasn’t able to protect you from that meanie! W-We saw the Avatars on their way here and I-” He gasps in the middle of his sentence, the boy was fully crying into your lap as you raked your fingers through his blonde locks, “I- I’m sorry I wasn’t able to protect you. I’m an angel, I’m su-supposed to- I-” He weeped, unable to finish his sentence as you hushed him.
Oh, Luke…
“I’m not mad at you, Luke. Don’t worry. Listen, run up to my room here. You know which one, right? I’ll be with you in a bit, alright?” You whisper to the boy, walking him over to the door. He didn’t fight against you, he simply nodded and balled his fists as he waddled up the steps to the direction of your room. When he disappears from view, you shut the door to the common room and lock it.
You stare at the lock and tighten your grip on the handle, “I was under the impression that I could trust you all. You’d be able to protect me from anything because… that’s what you all promised me, right?” You stand still where you stood, you don’t turn back to look at them.
The boys you’ve grown to love all fidget nervously. Yuki remains frozen on the floor.
“I- You all lied to me. You told me I caused my own amnesia. The curse broke when Merihem tried to… He tried to force himself onto me. I was frozen, in his arms. He held me for hours, he kissed me and tried to touch me but… He couldn’t. I’ll give you that, Solomon. Your necklace came in handy.” You turn to look at all of them and they see your red eyes and matching nose.
You tried not to cry in front of them.
“Darling- (MC), we never meant for this to happen-”
“Yeah, we’d never want you to get hurt”
“I apologize for our shortcomings, (MC).”
“I should’ve known that a gross otaku like me could never protect you…”
“You coulda summoned me, (MC)...”
“Sorry, (MC)... I failed to protect you.”
“Sorry…”
Drip, drip, drip. Tears drip down your face, down to the dark wood flooring. What to do? Could forgiveness still be an option? Maybe moving on would be best?
