The Idea That Feminists Need To Do Something For Men In Order For Them To Be Taken Seriously Is Literally

The idea that feminists need to do something for men in order for them to be taken seriously is literally so fucked up and selfish. A thousand years of patriarchy and sexist cultures that have benefited men, yet men still want feminism to do something for them? Fucking selfish and so fucking disgusting. When I say men are privileged, this is what I mean. Feminism, a movement about women, has to somehow benefit men for them to not rape, abuse, kill and discriminate women. Like don't they see the irony? We're still expected to do something for them; to obey and serve them in some ways just so that they can take us seriously, which even then they don't. We're somehow supposed to raise voices for men as well now when we're already not heard, we're expected to carry their burdens and 'oppression' as well as ours because they can't be bothered to make movements and changes for themselves. Because they're so used to us doing everything for them? Honestly fuck men and if this posts offends men and they start whining about 'not all men' rather than focusing on the issue at hand, then you're part of the problem.

"She suspected the real cause of his anger was his not wanting her to be amother or a sister. A part of him - the part that hated what he was; even hecouldn't be without that - must also hate her, for the way she got under his skin, ever so slightly, while remaining, finally, irrelevant. He wasn't angry because she knew his secrets; he was angry because she couldn't be the way out of them. Hadn't he looked at her, now and then, with a moment's real interest? An interest that quickly curdled into something like contempt- for himself, for her, for his inability to follow through?".

Omlll, Thomas Mallon made such a well aimed take with this one. I believe that everyone completly misunderstood Hawkins character bc he wasnt a dreamer but a realistic guy that tried to survive being himslef(in the extent that he could bc of society). And bc of the misinterpretation of his character ppl tend to hate him and to see him as stoic and insensitive when, eventhough he actually tries to be this, he cant bc he simply isnt like that and at the end hes got feelings and in the book we can definetly see that and its just so sad how his homophobia and societies wont ever let him be free at all, and I feel that this paragraph really expresses it. And this is just incredibly sad, I really think that Hawkins tried to live his life in his own way, like trying not to deny what he was but at the same time he apreciated and craved for a "normal" and perfect life, which at the end this destroyed him, bc his fear and cowardice for not living his truth were what took everything he ever loved away from him.

Anyway, I love the show and the book is greatt and im literally gonna kms.

So, recently ive seen that updates of the luigi mangione case hasnt been as spread as they were like in early january, and Idk but I think this is smth planned maybe by the us government bc we all know how useful it is that more ppl are educated about his case, bc eventhough there is still support this is apparently just thirst trap, and I, so, the fact that less and less ppl are understanding luigis purpose and just see him as a "hot criminal" definetly benefits the pillars of the economy (or the CEOs), and its is quite obvious how theyve manipulated media to their own benefit and it has worked, i dont think you all need sm examples but u can use germany in the middle 30s as reference, and well even non americans like me have seen so much the manipulation of the usa government towards their ppl and have seen how this isnt a hard task but it is effective and therefore dangerous.

Another thing that has terribly damaged his image is, again, how media has treated him, especially now that his trial just happened and they get to do whatever the fuck they want and to use him as they like, and I mean, ppl on average are not stupid to not know that killing is wrong, but in this circumstance we see that luigi was murdering a murderer, so this is in fact what ppl found sympathetic, even before his identity reveal, but just after we got to know him, media worked HARD to make him be seen as this cruel evil guy that had no feeling towards a father that did nothing but protect his family, which is so fucking fake, how many stories have we not heard about CEOs or men of his statue doing everything but being a father or a decent husband.

So, in conclusion, I think that atp of history we know enough to do the right decision of trusting or not the government and media and act on that. Nevertheless its NECESSARY that we keep supporting him and spreading info as we much as we can bc the aim of the prosecution is life imprisonment which would make everything he has done in vain.

Stuff like guerilla gardening, stickering, wheatpasting, lifting, graffiti, pothole-filling and other minor illegal acts aren’t only important for their primary effects, but because disobeying your capitalist programming helps break down the internalized worldview that comes with it

You start seeing society as it is: a collection of flawed, limited, man-made institutions that can be ignored, reshaped, or abolished. You see your environment as something that you’re free to improve and beautify. You see items on shelves as common property which is unjustly hoarded and guarded. You see cops as violent oppressors upholding the unfair demands of the ruling class - but you also see them as human, able to be avoided, fooled, and fought

Practice illegalism daily to see past the smoke and mirrors that make it look like the way things are is the way they must be. A better world is possible

y’know what i’m gonna say it. tumblr is the superior social media site. follower counts are hidden/meaningless, there’s no way to make a profit and/or become an influencer. it’s just about looking at silly little images and making silly little comments.

That one feeling when u just cant split between your intense sense of justice or your need of detach all of your rage into smth or smn bc u were raised by an angry man and now u r inherently hateful but u can still hold a little bit of empathy towards ppl but yet u feel so guilty of never stoping to hate everyone even those who u thought u were the most comprehensive to
