This isn't hate mail this is love mail but most times when I see stuff about this trans infighting the transfems are usually posed against transmascs. It's understandable as theres bad apples on both sides and im not surprised people run to protect their own, but I'm incredibly glad to see a trans feminine person advocating against this infighting and for ALL trans unity. I hate to see transmascs bully transfems even though it could be self defense, and vice versa. It feels like all huge trans bloggers both men and women have this idea that we must all hate each other so it's good to see a blog promote positivity on BOTH ends. thank you for fighting for us transmascs, and as a transmasc I need to work harder on ignoring the divisive posts and focusing on fighting for my sisters too. The world is a scary place and we need to be together more than ever before.
I love all my trans siblings and will do my best to defend every single one.
A little boy just looked at me and went “woah! That girl is so tall!! I didn’t know girls could get that tall!” To his grandpa.
Grandpa talked to him about how he had tall women in his family and how pretty tall girls are and the boy said he should ask me out 💀 so grandpa was like “she’s probably already married”
Listening to this exchange was so cute and so gender affirming bc not once did either of them imply I was actually a man I’m gonna cry this was so sweet.
"terfs love cis women and thats why they love trans men/mascs"
those are not the same thing unless you yourself think they are worstie <3
*grabs your hands and speaks to you in a tone that is so gentle* they/them pronouns stop being universal once you learn a person's pronouns. Sometimes that person's pronouns will include they/them and in that specific case you are allowed to keep using those pronouns for that person. In any case where you learn a persons pronouns and that person doesn't use they/them, you should no longer use those pronouns for that person. If you continue to use they/them pronouns knowing that person doesn't use them, you are now misgendering that person. Kindly stop doing that please. Thank you, I love you.
'The number of trans men getting killed is so low so clearly trans male murder is not as bad of an issue as trans women murder'
'So trans men aren't getting reported as being killed?
'Exactly!'
'So are they alive?'
'...? '
'Because if they're not being killed/targeted at the same rate as trans women then there should be more of them?'
'...'
'...there are less recorded alive trans men aren't there?'
So much queer discourse is just "i like pancakes" "so you hate waffles?" Type shit
"I believe mspec lesbians are valid" "so you think lesbians just need good dick?"
"I believe trans men can identify as lesbians if they want" "so you think trans men are women?"
"I believe transandrophobia exists" "so you think transfems oppress transmascs?"
No bitch that's a whole new sentence wtf are you talking about
Don’t let this stupid discourse prevent you from transitioning! Don’t let people dedicated to misunderstanding you have any impact on how you live your life!
Yes, there will be assholes. I know it hurts more when the people who should support you are the ones attacking you- trust me, I’ve been there.
But at the end of the day, they’re not the ones living your life. They don’t know what’s best for you- you do.
It’s all up to you to decide; what being a man means to you, your relationship with masculinity, and what you want out of your transition.
There’s no wrong answer except for the one others try to force on you.
I can’t wait to see who you become!
god i love being an intersex trans woman. i love that being a woman doesn't invalidate that i'm also a man. i can be a wo/man. im glad i can be a butch woman. im glad i can be a genderqueer woman. i'm so glad to be able to express myself as a woman with a beard and deep voice. im glad i can just be a woman however i want to. women don't have to conform to any norm. women are allowed to be diverse. women are allowed to break gender expectations. women are allowed to fuck with gender. god i love womanhood. i was taught to hate it but i've learned to love it. i love being a woman
it is genuinely mind blowing to me that somebody can say "i want all trans people who were afab to be killed/assaulted/beaten/raped" and then go on to call themself a feminist. no bestie you are a raging transphobic misogynist and you should not be allowed around children or vulnerable adults!
If you want people in the transandrophobia tag to post less about inter community issues, you have two options:
1. Make your own posts about non-community issues
2. Speak up when other queer people: make fun of trans men and trans mascs, deny transandrophobia, say one type of trans person has it worse than all other trans people, erase/leave out/forget trans men and mascs in their activism, deny the lived experiences of trans men and mascs
It stings worse when betrayal comes from someone you thought was an ally, so I’m really not surprised a lot of posts about transandrophobia are talking about inter community issues.
Actually, I have more thoughts on this.
I think the people who genuinely believe this crap are the ones whose only transfem friends are discourse bloggers, and never really interact with the community IRL.
If you hang out with trans women offline, you get to learn what transfem culture really is. You get to see genuine trans solidarity, and spend time with cool people who accept you as you are, regardless of if your identity perfectly aligns with theirs.
But if you don't have that, you think peak transfem culture is that IKEA shark, dysphoria hoodies, and arguing with other queer people online.
Wait are these assholes trying to claim the concept of a dysphoria hoodie was stolen from trans women
Dysphoria Hoodies??? Really? As we know, the concept of wearing a Baggy Article of Clothing to deal with your dysphoria was nonexistent until the first ever trans woman discovered the magic of the hoodie.
Really???
I was wearing those before I knew what being trans was! Shockingly, if you're dysphoric about a part of your body, your first instinct may be to cover it up with easily available gender-neutral clothing... such as, I don't know, a hoodie? But no, those mean transmascs and nonbinaries stole it from women, who would have guessed :(
Guess we gotta add it to the list, along with "cat ear headphones" and "eggs" and "liking anime."
Nix, They/Them, Queer, 20s Sporadically active.Do not gender me.
