one thing that really bothers me in the conversations about transandrophobia is how people imply that infantilization isn't a Big Deal.
The posts I've seen argue that being infantilized just hurts feelings and trans men/mascs just have to get thicker skin.
This is so incredibly hurtful for so many reasons. I want to think more on it and add to this post later but I just wanted to get it out there that the idea that infantilization is just hurt feelings and doesn't lead to loss of body autonomy and rights makes me want to scream
litcherally at some point you've got to realize that assuming trans men don't know anything about misogyny is transphobic. a lot of transandrophobia from other queer people involves denying transmascs our transness by treating us like we are basically cis men, ignoring our unique experiences with things like misogyny & treating us with this aura of "since you're a MAN you are ignorant to WOMEN'S ISSUES đ there's this thing called MISOGYNY that you should know about" & I know y'all would not treat a cis woman like this
calling what is happening to trans people in the south an attempt at genocide: correct and ok. it's going to get worse if we don't fight back now
comparing it to the holocaust: not ok and also i'm fucking blocking you.
no genocide is the same. not every genocide mirrors the holocaust. using the deaths of jews, lgbt people, disabled people, and poc during the holocaust as your "gotcha" card every time our rights are in danger today proves you know nothing about the history you're talking about.
Anyway remember how some of the very same people who are mad that Scary Trans Woman Politician posted horny genshin impact art of fictional adults because "the art style is often used for lolita works depicting sexualized minors" are also in the same group that were mad that fire emblem's english localization changed Anna's lines to be significantly less sexually provocative because she's literally 11 and that means they weren't able to have their 11 year old wifu in english.
Tldr they're all a bunch of fucking hypocrites.
my least favorite thing abt the trans bathroom discourse is the other trans ppl going âlmao dumb transphobes donât u know that if u pass these bills youâll have trans MEN in the womenâs bathroom????????â bc like. no. thatâs actually not what will happen. what will happen is that we just wonât use the bathroom at all, bc do you know what happens when someone who looks like they could possibly be a man walks into a womenâs bathroom when there are transphobes around? they get beaten half to death or get the cops called on them. so no, the result of these bathroom bans wonât be âtrans men in womenâs bathrooms lolâ it will be trans men not going out in public as much or trans men suffering higher rates of utis and kidney problems. what happens is that transphobes get what they want: we disappear from public life.
i need all gentiles to watch this video immediately.
new post bc i really need folks to stop spreading tactics that are going to get missourians killed.
attorney general bailey has set up a website where you can report âconcernsâ about transgender care.
bailey will take those entries as real stories and use them as fuel to come down even harder on transgender care in missouri. instead, do what we usually donât do and spam the absolute shit out of it. vary your submissions so they canât just filter out certain keywords. but DO NOT submit stories that could sound real, because bailey will present them as real.
here is the link.
btw the term "women's health" to discuss uterine care/menstruation isnt just transphobic, it also keeps up this aggravating idea that the uterus & menstruation are obscene and impolite and need to be kept hidden under flowery vague terms as to not offend any cis men. like trans people demanding the end of gendered language around this stuff aren't just helping trans people, its also just good to normalize calling tampons and pads "menstrual supplies" because thats what they fucking are!!! we should say the words uterus vagina menstruation and we should do it in public and in stores instead of talking about ~women's needs~ and ~feminine care~. trans liberation is fundamental to women's liberation and anti-patriarchal action in general. listening to trans men & people isn't bad for women its good for literally everyone
cis women if you call yourself a trans ally but the concept of trans people with uteri disappears from your mind the second you start talking about reproductive autonomy your trans allyship is bullshit and so is your intersectionality. you have no fucking clue how terrifying it is to be trans with a uterus right now. you have no idea how many trans people suffer and die because of trans erasure in healthcare language. we see you talking about respecting pronouns while talking about "women's bodies" and "but if MEN could get pregnantâ" either put the words "people who can get pregnant" and "reproductive transphobia" on your tongue or shut the fuck up.
te/rfs and transphobes on tik tok are currently losing their mind over an older trans man saying âhey the laws you wanna pass that would put trans women in the menâs bathroom would also put me in the womenâs bathroomâ and all their responses have basically been that heâs a predator and that if they saw him there they would physically assault him. so yeah i donât ever wanna hear ppl say âoh these laws wonât affect trans menâ or âtrans men only have to deal with infantilization, not actual violenceâ bc there is at least one example out there of the above actually happening.
I saw a video that said lgbtq people in public are constantly trying to navigate being true to themself and pleasing cishet people for safety and often in lgbtq only spaces were constantly worried about what a cishet person would think and thats how we get queer discorse. and I think about that a lot.
So glad to see this post getting attention! It kills me when I see people ignorantly using that disgusting meme.
ppl pulling the 'just let people enjoy Wizard Game' are often met with 'JKR funds anti-trans groups!' and that's. entirely true. but doesn't actually go far enough.
like if you're on team Let People Enjoy Wizard Game hey. did you know. that in my city RIGHT NOW JKR is sole funder and key board member of an unregulated private agab-policed rape crisis shelter set up specifically to Own The Transes
and which now sits on several gendered violence prevention boards alongside representatives from the (publicly funded and accountable) existing Rape Crisis Centre, against the staff of which her friends and followers have been involved in a years-long harassment campaign purely and explicitly because they run trans-inclusive support services and bc their CEO is a trans woman of colour.
(my friend works there and the pure volume of transphobic harassment has caused several long standing members of staff to quit. which I'm really fucking angry about bc I would not be here today if the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre hadn't been there to help me)
and that on those boards they're known for supporting increased police harassment and approaches that disproportionately criminalise trans people, unhoused people and sex workers and provably don't positively impact the issue of gendered violence.
what I'm saying is that yes JKR funds anti-trans groups but she is also pretty directly involved in materials worsening conditions for vulnerable people at a local and personal level too!!!! she's running an unregulated crisis shelter out of spite and using that to legitimise her political lobbying!!!!!! fuck you!
CW: antisemitism, pale of settlement, pogroms, genocide, cultural erasure
I don't think goyim can really conceive of how much Jews actually hold back in our criticism of antisemitism in media, and when you hear us it is often because we see a dangerous message that you don't... Yet.
I have a complicated relationship with Tim Burton's rendition of The Corpse Bride. I love it as a beautiful piece of stop motion art, but it isn't what it should have been, he took a Jewish story from the Pale and with intention stripped it of its Jewish origins. This alone is incredibly antisemitic. The criticism you will hear has probably been "this is a Jewish story, it should have retained its Jewish elements" but have you heard why we feel strongly about this story?
The story of the corpse bride is incredibly important to me and was born from Jewish trauma and Christian violence. Mobs would routinely attack Jewish weddings, they would murder brides and they would bury them in unmarked graves by the roadside still in their wedding clothes, they reasoned that without Jewish wives there are no Jewish mother's. Jews are intrinsic to the story.
It is antisemitism to take our story, about our pain, at the hands of non-jews and strip it for "useful" parts, in fact it is heartbreaking every time.
We are often forced to pick our battles and fighting a battle over a movie that has already been released by a director with a cult following is not worth it, you only hear us speak up in numbers when the antisemitism may lead to another century of violence, because raising our voice means picking a fight, because so many of you already see our pain as inconvenient and it is exhausting to never be heard.

Ok but like actually DNI if you support the death penalty. Yes there are people who deserve to die for their crimes. No there isnât a court in existence that should be given the power to decide who those people are
After my blaze post about disability access in media was rejected due to reasons ungiven, I got in contact with Tumblr and pointed out their irony in rejecting my post but continuing to promote adverts that contain dangerous levels of flashing imagery, high contrast colours, and glitch effects.Â
They told me to screenshot/screen record any of these adverts I saw and report them to tumblr.com/support along with the approximate date and time and the website they redirect to.Â
Of course, for Photosensitive people who have been forced to witness these adverts, this sort of thing is nearly impossible. How can you have the wherewithal to report an advert whilst suffering from a seizure or migraine?Â
This is where Allies come in! Please can you collect any and all adverts you see that contain flashing lights at a rate of 3 Flashes Per Second or higher/Glitch Effects/High Contrast Colours? Then, on 26th March (Epilepsy Awareness Day) I suggest that we all send these adverts in on mass! Itâll help to get our point across that this is a REGULAR OCCURRENCE that affects an entire community of people, and hopefully weâll be able to enact some actual change to make this website more accessible for disabled people!Â
If you are seeing this after 26th March, or worry youâll not remember to do so by then, fear not! You can send the posts to Tumblr Support year round! Itâs just useful to have a date to organise these things around for maximum impact.

right now itâs almost halfway through 2023, and 2024 is an election year in the US. I have started to see a growing proliferation of posts suggesting that there is no difference between the republican and democratic partiesâthe exact same kind of posts I saw an awful lot of before the last major election here. I am unfollowing folks who post or reblog these sort of posts, as I consider these posts to be fascist propaganda framed as leftist discourse, designed to suppress anti-fascist votes and voters.Â
The epidemic of young queers ignoring or cherrypicking queer history is really biting us all in the ass because Montana just tabled the bill that banned trans and gay panic, and many of the younger queers Iâve come across have no idea what gay panic really is, or what that means.
All they know about gay panic is the âOh my gosh! I talked to a pretty girl/boy and Iâm a girl/boy hehe so flusteredâ that at some point replaced the actual meaning of gay panic. Do you know how dangerous this is, that they donât know of the dangers of trans and gay panic? Itâs lethal.
As things in the US become more dire for the queer community, Iâm begging the young queers: read up on queer - our, your - history. Talk to your elder queers. Really look into current politics surrounding the queer community. Donât get all your info from social media, and absolutely do not take what you see on social media at face-value. Get yourself educated and prepared for whatâs to come. Itâll save lives, I promise you.Â
Y'know, maybe I'm biased as a shark girl but. DAMN do people need to diversify their jokes about sharks. It's ALWAYS either "Haha shark smooth" or "Shark has two dicks? đł"
It's all I ever see. My sanity demands people be a little more creative.
Can people please fucking stop making "haha, Floridians are all poor stupid crackheads" jokes?
If we're poor, it's because our state government cares more about the rich tourists in the coastal high-rises than the average citizen, and the cost of living won't stop rising no matter how hard the people scream for relief.
If we're uneducated, it's because our state government is gutting education left and right, and turning it into a battleground in the white supremacist culture war.
If we're addicts, it's because we have no social safety net and self-medication is all we can turn to.
Every Florida Man headline is about a real human being, usually one under extreme duress and with absolutely no social resources to fall back on.
I hope none of you ever have to see a loved one--or yourself--represented as little more than a "Florida Man" joke, when the truth of the situation is that you were scared, starving, and vulnerable to state violence and asshole reporters who would rather pursue a viral headline than respect the dignity of a human being in crisis.
The thing blue state leftists donât seem to understand about red states is that telling minorities to âjust leaveâ is really insidious. That is exactly what the republicans want. They want to make their state so miserable and dangerous and scary for everyone who isnât a conservative cisgender heterosexual white Christian that those people leave. Leave behind their family, their homes, their friends, their jobs, their community, the places theyâve lived their entire life. With every person who leaves it is one less gay person teaching their children, one less person protesting outside the capitol, one less blue voter trying to stop the place they call home from sliding into fascism.
Many of us cannot afford to âjust leaveâ and many of us donât want to because contrary to popular belief, North Carolina isnât an irredeemable shithole with nothing to offer and no sense of community. People do leave red states for their safety but that does not fix the underlying problem, that doesnât even make the problem better.
Bathroom accessibility is not limited to mobility aids.
Bathroom accessibility is also having hooks to hang medical equipment.
I went to Walmart today and none of the bathroom stalls had hooks for my feeding tube backpack. Not even the disabled stall. They were intentionally removed by the store.
These hooks are important because we shouldnât have to put our equipment on the floor and risk god knows what by contaminating our backpacks in the public bathroom.
Bathroom accessibility is having a fully equipped disabled stall or single use bathroom, hooks for medical equipment/bags, infant/child AND adult changing tables, sharps containers, free pads/tampons, and having a free to access, fully functioning and clean bathroom at all times.
âJohann Scheff, trans lady SW arrested in 1932 for nicking womenâs clothes from a department store in Berlin.â Weâve always been here. Not even book burnings can truly erase it.
terfs be like. i am going to tell you how to spot a trans woman. okay so if you think a woman is ugly you should harass them. this is beneficial to women
yeah man that group of queer people really are evil fakers stealing ur resources. for real this time yeah. no it's not dumb meaningless exclusionist discourse that you're traumatizing a group of fellow queer people with this time, it's a good thing this time. keep sending those people death threats and talking about how they're not oppressed enough you're really doing so much good for the queer community
i think we need to put a moratorium on cis people using "AFAB" and "AMAB." they're getting a bit too comfortable with it.
"neckbeards" are a common facial hair pattern for people with PCOS and hirsutism and people who go on T and people who have a lot of weight on their face. It is not funny or cool or based to use physical features as a moral attack, and especially not when it's a common feature of intersex people and trans people and fat people and countless other types of people who society already mocks.
