Idk if you’ve been asked this/said this before but from the DRs you have, which one is your favorite and why? :)

Eeek!! I never got this question and I'm SO HAPPY you asked!!!

So, I have quite a few DR's, some being from books, personal dreams, shows, alternate CR's, or even my own homebrew DnD related DR's, but by far my favorite has to be my Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children DR

I started the book series in around 2022 and watched the movie a few months prior, although the movie has A TON of inaccuracy, it meant the world to me.

I was having a very rough panic attack due to my intestinal issues and chronic anxiety, I was in so much pain and nothing was helping. My father turned on the TV, then found a random movie and turned it on as a last-ditch effort to calm me down. Once the intro music began, my head snapped up from my arms and I was enamored.

The colors, the vibes, the filmography, the characters, the plot, everything consumed me in ways I couldn't describe. I had completely forgot about my pain, which has never happened before.

After this had happened, I knew I needed more. I researched everything I could find and I ended up buying the first two books the next week.

I related to everything in the books, more than anything I've ever related to before. I felt each character like life-long-friends. I knew things before they happened in the book like memories coming back to me, even though never being introduced. I felt more connected to them then anything, I felt more like myself than ever before.

I fell in love with it, and have been in love with it ever since. I spent hours sitting on my hammock reading, imagining being there, finally being home

Thats when I realized; I can shift there.

In less than a second I opened my notes app and began writing, it was only when I realized it was past nine at night that I needed to go back inside from my hammock

So, yea! As you can tell, it means quite a lot to me, I've never felt this connected to one of my DR's. I was worried it would be a hyperfixation, but it never left. It was always in the back of my mind, always lingering, waiting for me to return.

I know that is my home now, I want to be there, with my friends, where I am truly, peculiarly me <3

Last Night’s Shift Recap

Last Night’s Shift Recap

So!

I ended up shifting to an alternate version of my CR, one where I didn’t shift to my WR, but I’m one step closer!!

Last night was really rough, since I normally shift while I’m sleeping (it’s the only time my body is truly fully relaxed, because ya know, chronic anxiety and adhd lmao)

but surprise surprise I couldn’t fall asleep at ALL last night, I kept tossing and turning and had this horrible gut feeling that something was wrong, it wasn’t about shifting, but something else that I couldn’t quite put

I ended up falling asleep for a couple minutes, and in which I had a horrible nightmare (which is usual for me as I grew up with repeated nightmares, they aren’t fun :[ but it’s okay!)

so now I’m standing at my bus stop, thinking of those waffles, so I’m probably just gonna shift during the school day or something, I don’t wanna be here 😭

OMG so first I’d like to say congrats!! I believe that to be a shift, and I actually have a similar story for comparison

I dream very vividly, up to the point where I can feel pain, water, heat, etc (basically anything that you can use your senses to detect) within my dreams, but I don’t go lucid in them often mainly bc lucid dreaming every night gets mentally exhausting for me

one specific night, I had such an experience that it had to be a shift

Before I had fully realized I was asleep and dreaming, I had the most vivid dreams, but the one that caught me off guard completely was the last “dream” I had. In this dream I woke up in an unfamiliar room that felt familiar to me already, and although it felt familiar I knew *I, my CR self* have never been in there. I looked out the windows and I felt the breeze, I could see people walking around going about their day in this little modern town, yet it was also not modern fashion. I looked around the room and I felt baffled, and in the dream I literally said holy shit I shifted, and I felt everything yet part of me felt that I was still asleep. I ran out of this bedroom and into a kitchen with my CR family, and it baffled me, none of my dr's involve any of this other than my better CR script, which takes place in my actual house and not some random house presumably in a different time zone. I went throughout the dream with hints of shifting being spoken about, with my brother, friends, and even myself speaking out loud. I know it's not normal for most persons to feel things in dreams, but l'm used to feeling pain, cold, hot, out of breath, and basic human emotions and physical pain while in REM sleep. But that’s when it happened, I looked at a clock on the wall and it was exactly what a clock should look like, NEVER in ANY of my dreams had I ever seen an actual clock without looking distorted. In parts of the experience I would repeat I’ve shifted and I’m grateful but now I’m gonna go about my day, and I was suddenly woken up by my cat jumping on my chest. Although I didn’t become aware while awake, I knew I was aware in the dream, not only that but I could feel and experience everything as I would when I’m awake, so I call it a minishift, but a shift nonetheless :D

Remember, you don’t even need to set an intention to shift prior, you know what you want, and keeping that belief and trust in yourself is enough!! I’m so proud of you and I send you love and prayers for your future shifting journey! 🩷✨

details abt before becoming aware:

my dog usually wakes me up around 5:30 to use the bathroom, and after i had let him out i went back into bed and was thinking about being in a reality where it would be easier to be with my crush.

*crush context: she lives in the state that i moved away from a few years ago but we still keep in contact!

i wasn’t even thinking in depth about what it would be like, i was just thinking about what it would be like if i still lived there, and how i would probably be dating her.

becoming aware:

i woke up in my old room, in the house we lived in when i lived in -insert state name-. my bedsheets were the same, my room looked so familiar it was crazy.

*side note: my memory is really bad in this reality, so since i didn’t script any differences consciously. most likely leading to my recounting of my experience not being too great.

i remember sitting up in my old bed, and was thinking to myself, “holy shit, this is my old room, with my old bedsheets.” i felt them and they felt like how i remember them feeling. i even looked out my window, and saw the same view that i would see when i lived there in this reality.

another thing i remember thinking immediately that i should text my girlfriend. (aka my crush in this reality.)

i remember thinking about how i must of shifted. then i got up and went out of my room, and made my way to my old bathroom.

then i got worried about my OR, and felt homesick and shifted back.

after thoughts:

i’m 99% sure that it was a shift. the only thing that takes up that 1% is that i wasn’t consciously setting an intention to shift to that reality before shifting.

one thing that makes me lean towards it legitimately was a shift is that it felt so real, and i was able to feel the sheets below me in detail in order to ground myself.

all my previous shifting experiences i wasn’t able to ground myself because of how excited i was seeing my partner in that reality.

i’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions!

People be getting mad over race changing and aging up/down but like… What are they gonna do about it

Like unless if theres some way to go into someone else’s dr then I find it kinda useless to complain about their dr

The general consensus (from what I've seen) on tumblr is that race changing/aging is fine because you're already that race/age in that reality.

I'm not that educated on group shifting, but I'm pretty sure what you're talking about isn't going to happen as there are an infinite amount of realities and the likelihood of that happening is near impossible. So, no.

The hypnagogic state : how to reach it.

The hypnagogic state is a state where we naturally go into before sleeping, a sweet spot moment before sleeping and still being awake, a state where it is so powerful to be able to shift, get in the void, or basically do anything.

Now it requires NOTHING, it only requires one small thing that might sound tricky.

Staying awake long enough for it to come by on it's own, and actually on average it takes 10-5 mins from each person to enter it aware.

The steps:

Lay flat on your back (not needed, but many results come from laying on the back)

Do. Not. Care, just go with what you usually do to fall asleep, but one thing? You're not falling asleep, you're watching your body fall asleep, that sweet spot where your body is about to fall asleep? That's hypnagogia

Actually don't move, it may give your mind signs you're still not sleeping, now just lay there and try not to sleep while focusing on the blackness behind your eyelids.

You will start seeing flashing images or swirly things or even just flashing lights and imagery, this is the hypnagogia and you managed to reach it in just 10 mins of pretending to be asleep (acc it takes me 4)

Bam, that's the sweet spot, now affirm slowly for the void, or just sense your surroundings for shifting or maybe you can try your shifting method here! This state cannot argue back, you'll be immediately shifting in no time, and slipping in the void is so easy from it.

So really the whole steps is just "lay down, don't move, watch your eyelids, color seen? Hypnagogia reached, method or void procedure done, bam."

I managed to find a post on Reddit on how to keep your body awake, you can try 2 or 3 of them to keep yourself entertained, FULL CREDITS TO THE ONE WHO POSTED IT ON REDDIT (calaie_iscoolio):

"1. Looking in the darkness behind your eyelids

Basically what it says, when you close your eyes, just focus on the darkness until hypnagogic imagery begins to happen i.e. colors, shapes, literally anything that will show. When images begin to show up, do not interact or acknowledge what you are seeing, you can look at it, but don't try to control it and just let the images flow until you feel that the state is induced enough to where it won't disappear because you are "too" awake/aware.

2. "Forearm Up" Method

Another technique that basically helps with people who tend to fall asleep to quickly, basically lay down on your back like usual, lift your hand up in the air where your elbow is resting on your mattress, keep it there and as it slowly falls down that's where you'll begin to fall asleep, it'll drop and basically awake you back up.

I had also seen a shifter mention that they prefer to lay on their stomach and lifting their foot up in the air and basically do the same thing. This technique basically just wakes you back up.

3. Thomas Edison Method

Very similar to the "Forearm Up" Method, basically what Edison had done was he had held a steel ball in his hand, and when he began to fall asleep, the ball will drop and alert Edison awake, another technique to help with people to struggle to stay awake.

4. Imagine Constant Motion

Basically imagining something whether that be an animal or an object constantly moving like a horse galloping, a dogs tail wagging side to side, etc. (Pretty simple, for people who find it much easier to visualize).

5. Tire your body through out the day

During the day, you could do any tasks that would just tire your body out that leads up to your attempt to induce the state, it'll make it much easier for you to get into the state and induce it since your body is already tired enough to relax.

6. Repeating "hypnagogia"

This will mean you have you just repeat the words "hypnagogia" to yourself till you get tired enough and then hypnagogic imagery will eventually appear.

7. Counting

Basically just like regular shifting methods, you could focus on counting up to how much you want to until you begin to get the hypnagogic hallucinations, to keep yourself from falling asleep you could give yourself simple math questions just so it's enough to focus to answer it.

8. Imagining Randomness

Imagine literally anything that isn't related at all, i.e. horse, roof, apple, pen, desk, etc. Visualize and filter through random objects or animals that have no correlation and that will induce the hypnagogic imagery, randomness is key.

9. Focus on breathing

Similar to any shifting method, basically focusing on your breaths is another technique to induce the state. Literally just anything to keep your awareness occupied rather than letting your mind just shut down to go to sleep.

10. Sounds

Listening to anything in your environment, whether that be things happening outside, if it's raining listen to the rain, or if you've got headphones on listen to the music and focus that, keep your focus on the music so you don't fall asleep.

11. "Playing" a song in your head

Not necessarily listening to the song, but imagining the song playing in your head, whether that be your favorite song, if you know how it sounds like, imagine it playing and once you've entered the state, it will naturally play and you'll end up actually hearing the song.

12. Heartbeat

Basically just focus on your heartbeat. Listen to the amount of beats.

These are all the various of techniques you could use, you don't have to stick to one and can basicaally try them out, see which one you feel like works for you and go from there. A tip is also you could pick like 4 or 5 out of these 12 and just filter through the techniques if you can't just stick to one since you get uninterested quickly. (I get bored easily, do I normally do 8, 9, 7 and 4 just so I don't lose interest.)"

You can call me Taro! (pronounced the same as tarot lmao) I'm one of the founding members of this little thing we call "S" here, along with "princess bubblegum" [with siri] and "brawns-for-brains" over there... and wannabe torero, I guess... (gosh that guy gives me the ick...).

I'm from from over the west side (Mexico) so I'm like... fluent in several languages! ¿Que chido, no? (moved to Japan in like, preteen years?)

I work as an engineer, technician, and those among other things (such as clothing designing and whatnot; I'd say I have a pretty good eye for that (。•̀ᴗ-)✧) Of course, besides my career, I have a strong passion for skateboarding! I've been practicing ever since I was in... what? Junior High? Uy, it's been a while.. (girl you're in your 20s y'aint that old) And because of that I met Kaoru and Kojiro. The wrecks those two were back then, I gotta tell you... well, they still are. (snicker) Recently, a (second) cousin of mine moved here, and I finally got to see my nephews again! Since I knew the younger of them (all of the sudden I sneeze or something lol) was into skateboarding, I thought it'd be cool to bring them here [to "S"]. He seemed to like it, but he was hesitant at the idea of coming often since... I mean it's illegal, hah! But trust, I got them covered. Maybe you'll even get to meet them! Just because you haven't shifted yet doesn't mean you can't Will you trust in what I'll tell you? Just for the duration of this post? You are not broken, not doing it wrong. There isn't anything like "not spiritual enough" or "not aligned enough", "not ready enough" or any of the crap that your inner doubts viciously whisper into your ear at 3AM. You are just a person, just human. Someone trying something so weird, hard, strange and yet something so beautiful like shifting, and something most of the world doesn't even believe in. That takes guts. Shifting isn't a linear, one-size-fits-all thing. Shifting isn't a video game you master by leveling up and spending thousands of hours on it. There is no test, finish line, invisible scoreboard you need to glance at. Just because you haven't shifted yet doesn't mean you are failing. Doesn't mean that you aren't trying hard enough or that you are missing something. Just means your 4D and your 3D haven't lined up yet. But that doesn't mean they never will. Honestly said, you could shift tonight. Tomorrow. Next week. In six months when you least expect it. You could shift in the middle of doing something completely unrelated. The nature of shifting seems to be unpredictable, personal and unproveable until you experience it yourself. Should I tell you something else? Nothing you ever did to shift was wasted. Not the time you spent scripting, visualizing, hoping, crying, failing and trying once again. It all matters in the moment, but once you reach your goal, it will not matter any longer how long it took you. You are not running backwards. You are simply on your own way, and maybe that way is a bit longer. You don't owe anyone a set deadline, not even yourself. Try to take the pressure off your shoulders, you are not a machine that can push itself to the limit forever. You are a soul, allowed to be tired and frustrated, allowed to take a break and come back when it feels right for you. Maybe try tonight. Or don't. Script, or don't. Listen to your heart and body, try when you feel like it, not when you have to force yourself. I promise you are close, the fucking door is still wide open. Your chance hasn't run away, it's there. It will all be worth it.

Alr so I've been in this shifting stuff for like… 4 years now off and on?

and i'm still not conscious of/remember a shift.

however, I will say that I've recently found out about something called the gateway tapes, which aren't necessarily for shifting but I'm pretty sure you can use it to help you shift.

I believe I still have it in my drive, so if you want that I can send that over to you ☆

It's okay hon, you're already there, whether you realize it or not (ik this is easier said than accepted but idk how else to say it) <3

Because it’s been 2 years and nothing has changed in my shifting journey and I really have to shift tonight. I don’t have enough power to stay here anymore. I attempt to shift EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and even if I want to take a break, I cant. I have to shift so bad. I’m not good. I don’t feel good at all. I’m so tired. Please someone help. Please. Please. Please. I beg you

I know you all will tell me no one can help me because shifting is something that only I can figure out what works for me. But I can’t anymore. Idk maybe something will click and I will shift.

Just wanted to say this since I struggle with it as well.

You are not selfish or mean for shifting to escape

You are not selfish or mean for shifting for love

You are not selfish or mean for scripting a diff family

You are not selfish or mean if you feel jealous that other people have shifted and you haven’t (your feelings are valid and don’t ignore them)

You are not selfish or mean if you can’t remain positive 24/7 (this is toxic positivity and is bad for your mental health)

It’s okay to feel sad, mad, angry, upset, jealous, or tired. Don’t ignore those feelings, it won’t help.

Take a breath, you may feel stuck but you aren’t. The universe is not out to get you, they love you and so does your subconscious.

YOU WILL SHIFT

Personally, the whole "you joke about this happening in your dr but then you'll experience and regret—" "you script this thing and not realizing it's real" idk man, maybe some people are just in fact used to coping things in different ways? 🧍🏻

Like you tell me alright, that maybe a million years old shifter, would really still highly likely to give a fuck about something happening in their dr like idk an apocalypse? No dude, they most likely would get used to that by now. Should they get used to it? Maybe not. But just because a shifter doesn't feel anything about it or give two shits, doesn't mean they don't think shifting isn't real. Idk but that's just my take on it, let me know how you feel about this 🤷🏻
