Headcanon (spoilers S5!!!): The reason we don't see Dazai being suicidal (I don't remember a single suicide joke in S5) anymore is because during his time in prison he had therapy sessions with Fyodor and started to change for better. That is why he says to Fyodor "You can't kill me" because he doesn't want to die anymore. It's Dazai showing his appreciation for the therapy sessions by killing Fyodor. What a wonderful friendship.

Richard: who are them?

Judy: those are the weirdo greek kids, or as we affectionately call them "douchebags"

Judy: that little one is Francis Abernathy, he's rich as shit and cares about nobody.

Jud: he knows everything about everyone, that's why his coats are so big

I came into the BSD fandom this year and.....jeez it was a wild ride. I don't know if I came at the worst of times or the best of times. I used to find it hard to believe that so many ships can exist but now here I am, becoming a multi-shipper (props to Dazai being a man-whore)

I just realised the lack of female characters right now.....anyways (Also where are my Hetero ships? Love Atsushi and Lucy but other than that? Ranpo x Yosano is also cute but it's....not enough)

Ranpoe is not included because they are happy together and married (not tragic).

Kousano is not included because they don't interact much (at all? I don't remember)

Other rare pairs or more normal (?) ships are not included

These are the most popular pairs that I could think of that are also tragic.....all of them are tragic tbh (I included HiguGin cuz I wanted at least one ship that wasn't m/m)

I am a newbie so....I am not looking for any fights 😅, just the opinions on the bsd fandom.

(I know we all love the Hufflepuff×Slytherin but....I LOVE Ravenclaw×Slytherin way more!!!! It's like two very similar people but yet so different. And THE POTENTIAL CHEMISTRY!!!)

The Greek Class didn't destroy Richard, he brought that on himself.

He chose to be destroyed and I am sure a part of him wanted to be.

He's the type of person who wants to be different, to be admired, to be apart from normal people.

That's why he tried to get in the Greek class in the first place even when Julian rejected him ounce, he wanted to be with the elites, to be exclusive.

Richard does show remorse for his actions at times but that doesn't mean he didn't find it thrilling.

He wanted an adventure, to see a tragedy, to be part of something dramatic and exciting. He was bored in his little town, around distant parents and normal friends.

He has always felt like he was above other people and he does look down on others who don't understand or follow his ideals.

His idolization of the Greek class is the reason he got destroyed, he was blinded by the opportunity to be included and accepted by them that he didn't look back at the mistakes he made for them.

Richard's story is a cautionary tale about foregoing your sanity and ethics for a broken, one sided friendship. They used him again and again, he did everything for them. Never questioning what he was really doing.

In the end, he was never a part of their group.

He was just there.

I always found that scene hilarious where James comes in middle of the night to Oliver's house to stay for vacation and they decide to share a bed (not sus at all) and in the morning Oliver's sisters are making fun of him when they found the boys sleeping together by asking, "Who's your boyfriend Oliver?" and Oliver is pissed off and embarssed by that but James does not give a fuck about being called Oliver's boyfriend and just says "I'm James. Lovely to meet you both" as if actually addressing himself as Oliver's boyfriend.
