I live in a major city and I was able to purchase and ship (15) pounds of fish from back home to myself for cheaper than I could buy it from a grocery store here in the city. Yeah, shipping has its own environmental factors but I was able to support an indigenous owned business while also getting my groceries at a lesser cost. (Buying in bulk is always a good idea if you’re planning on having something shipped to you)

Well, here’s something after not posting in a while. (Spoilers for The Devil’s Playhouse)

Well, my drawing tablet needed repairs, so it’s led to me doing a lot of sketches and drawings on paper, this one inspired by the ending of The Devil’s Playhouse. I know it’s probably stupid for me to draw these two in any sentimental nature, particularly Max, but I always assumed even with how chaotic they can be, they also has a soft side. (mostly coming from my personal experience of being the absolute fucked up person I genuinely am that still has space for affection sometimes) So here they both are paying their respects to their alternate selves who lost their lives after being turned into giant monsters and mercy killed in the aftermath of using their psychic abilities to save the world from a great otherworldly evil. I genuinely do think Max was more negatively affected by this than he was letting on. (“Fun” fact: Lagomorphs in general have a tendency to hide any vulnerability they have, which first evolved to protect them from predators)

Also I’m probably going to be taking a break from Tumblr. It’s not giving me joy like it used to, and anyone can report an art piece for no reason and get it blocked for some fucking reason. I’d wish the Sam and Max fandom well, but I don’t want to make this post more emotional and sappy than it already is.

To preface: I’m not SUPER old, but I’m old enough to be classified as an older-gen snm enjoyer. And as an older enjoyer, it confuses the ever-loving BEJEBUS out of me whenever fellow older-gen snm enjoyers are so opposed to Sam and Max being a couple that it’s like you asked them to sell their souls to Satan himself and then run around an amusement park buck-naked dragging an 18-wheeler full of yaoi manga behind them using only the strength of their toes. Why am I talking about this? I’m watching a ‘Sam and Max Gay Moments’ (yes, the one with over a million views) compilation on YouTube, and you have a bunch of older-gens around my age and older in the comments trying to denote any notion to them being gay. Like, what??? Believe what you want, that’s fine, I don’t care if you ship them or if you don’t, I’ll respect you either way, but why are you attacking people who do? You funny, funny people.

It’s peak masculinity to be able to kiss/marry your male friends without any sort of questioning or hesitancy of your manhood, if you ask me

Did you know that the average voice actor only makes about $31,400 a year? That’s around $1,500 less than the US median for individuals. When John DiMaggio says he thinks all voice actors should be paid more, he’s not just a millionaire out to get more millions. He’s someone who can afford to risk passing up a contract fighting to raise the wages of those who can’t afford to. He’s absolutely right when he says that VAs are treated and paid like shit and he’s absolutely right to draw attention to the issue.
