Last night, I attended the opening of Paul Colreavy’s exhibition ‘On Land And Water’ at Gallery Zozimus. His many paintings including landscapes and seascapes were atmospheric. I particularly liked his series of ‘Coastal Lowland’ and ‘Winter Shoreline’ paintings for their simplicity. The opening was relaxed and there were plenty of bits to go with the wine. Paul’s exhibition will run until 18th May 2019 at 56 Francis St, Dub 8.

Eamon Colman at the Solomon
Tonight, I attended the opening of Eamon Colman's exhibition 'Harmony in Diversity: Nature's Curcular Dance' at Solomon Fine Art, Balfe Street, Dublin 2. The venue was packed and had a lively atmosphere.
Eamin's paintings were colourful and comprised landscapes and interiors. I loved his use of yellow, blue and pink. My favourite painting that I had managed to see was 'Moon Orchard' which features to my eye, a large pink heart. Eamon's exhibition will run until 21st Sept 2024. It was well worth going.

Last Wednesday, I saw Margaret Egan’s exhibition ‘The Breath of Sound and Earth’ at Solomon Fine Art. I loved the atmospheric quality of her paintings. The work depicting people was full of movement and had a nice line to each figure. Her landscapes and seascapes were dark and brooding is a pleasing sense. I thought that all four horses in ‘The Sound of the Earth’ were well portrayed. Margaret’s exhibition with continue until 2nd March 2019 at Solomon Fine Art, Balfe Street, Dublin 2 beside the Westbury Hotel.

I went to the opening of Roisin O’Farrell’s exhibition ‘Silver \ Paper \ Gold’ at the Doorway Gallery, last night. It was packed. Roisin’s paintings looked fresh and full of life as if she had plenty of inspiration in painting them. I particularly loved her paintings of pieces of cutlery lying side by side on polished surfaces surrounded by wallpaper. It’s a simple idea which I had not seen before. The Doorway Gallery is at 24 South Fredrick Street, Dublin 2. Classy.
Yesterday, I visited the RHA, 15 Ely Place, Dublin 2 to see the 188th RHA Annual Exhibition on its last day. It was my second time attending this show and was worth the effort. I enjoyed viewing work by familiar artists such as Ken Drew, Richard Gorman, Eithne Jordan, Alice Maher, Mick O’Dea, John Shinners and Donald Teskey along with some new names. Classy.
Egan At The Solomon
I attended the opening of Margaret Egan's exhibition and the launching of her book at Solomon Fine Art, Balfe Street, Dublin 2 next to the Westbury Hotel. Her exhibition called 'The Mythic Stories of Life and Landscape' will continue until 30th March 2024. The Venue was packed and had a lively atmosphere. Her paintings painted on acrylic on linen were atmospheric. I particularly liked the paintings which included figures like 'The Poignant Music of Life' or 'The Landscape of our Inner World'.
