A Few Things Before You Read…
Keep in mind that this is a script, not a novel. There are certain structures and rules that would make it vastly different from writing a novel.
There was a 45-50 page limit.
This is a loose adaptation.
Because of that, the script will differ from the original content.
Any changes made to the original source material was done to better the narrative of the film.
Writing this was the best…and worst kind of mental, emotional and physical roller coaster. you could have when writing.
If you see a song mentioned playing over a scene, give it a listen while reading ;)
I cried multiple times while writing this.
Now, without further ado…
Enjoy!
Being a military brat is really fun because you'll spend your whole life answering "where are you from?" with the town you were born in or your parents are from only to move there as an adult and realize that you are not in fact from there
it was his birthday yesterday and i didn't reach out. maybe someday i'll be able to wish him a happy birthday without it compromising all my hard work but that day is not today
After having time to process, I think the way I feel about that ending is it makes sense with the way things were written and how they showed Jeanette to act at times, but for me from a satisfying storytelling standpoint it feels hollow. To me, the show doesn't pack as much of a punch when it's not two relatively innocent girls with secrets creating a tangled web.
I liked the aspect of "There are no teams. These two girls are not against each other, there just are a lot of misunderstandings fueled by secrets." Now it's about a sociopath getting away with it.
In light of the Velma show being terrible, I give you what the world really needs: My insanely smart face-serving cat Velma <3

I want to fucking scream, I spent hours working on a resume so I can get out of this shithole and lo and behold there's a goddamn watermark

Being mentally ill means random people will assume shit about you because of your diagnosis
