I love @hemlock-dreams Hunting!Spider au! I'm so obsessed!
(The text says "you underestimated the power of my cheerful optimism")
Future Viktor giving the crystal to young Jayce really has Howl's Moving Castle "find me in the future" vibes
Does anyone have fic recs for Stan falling into the portal instead of Ford? It can be Ford deciding to look for Stan or not, or it could be Stan's perspective, or literally anything. I love angst so much. Stan angst especially. It does not have to have a happy ending. Please guys I'm desperately ðŸ˜
The thing about Deadpool and Wolverine is that it is for fans of Deadpool and Wolverine specifically. Like none of us were there for the plot. We were there for self referential homoerotic nonsense violence and a love letter to the Fox era Marvel movies. So if you came there hoping for a terrific plot that breaks the formula, you were one of the critics complaining. If you were there to celebrate a good time with your old friends the characters, you had a roaring good time.
I had a delightful time. I will go again and continue to have a delightful time.
Okay I have to be honest here. I usually love when love triangles get turned into polycules, but not with fiddleauthor and fiddlestan. It just feels weird to me. I say this as a twin. I say this as a twin who has dated my brother's ex. That was weird. Dating the same person at the same time, especially as adults who are likely sexually active, it's too weird for me. Ship as you please, but I cannot be the only one who thinks this. Iove both ships. Separately.
Ever read a fanfic that is so in character but completely throws the plot out of the windows and makes it's own thing in the world and characters to the point it is like you are reading a new og work. And then it's over and you want to read fanfictiom for the said fanfiction and you just don't know what to do with yourself?
I just finished Arcane for the first time. To be honest all I could think about was an interaction like this happening
Jayce: My first boyfriend turned into the universe
Ekko: That's rough buddy
As I sat in the dark, eating strawberries and nutella on toast, watching the lighting roll outside my window, I thought, "this is what poetry is made of" and I figured someone would know what I meant.
I see people say that Deadpool wouldn't work with Insomniac!Pete because he's too much of a goody-two-shoes, but not only has the second game proven that his veneer of 'nice guy' is every bit as thin as any other Peter Parker's, people also tend to forget that his goody-two-shoes attitude is what draws Wade to him to begin with.
The reason they become friends is because their sense of humour is similar, they're both people who mask (pun not intended) trauma with japery and they have good hearts, their boundaries are just vastly different.
I love insomniac!Pete especially because he feels like a guy who has an earnest desire to do good and be kind, but it doesn't come entirely naturally to him - unlike Miles who just cannot help himself. He has to help or he'll fall apart. Miles will forgive anyone anything, even his worst enemy. Peter struggles.
It's nice to see a Peter who is confident in himself, even though he sometimes forgets how to act like a normal person, who struggles, but ultimately learns from his hardships.
I think Insomniac!Pete would do very well with Deadpool and they might get to push each other to be better, just like they sometimes do in the comics.
There's something so heartbreakingly romantic about breaking your moral code for someone. Following them knowingly into hell
I was rewatching Gideon Rises and that scene in which he taunts Dipper by saying he has no muscle nor brains to fight back by himself without the Journal's help really gets to me...
And you know what? Ignore Ford's biased by society's expectations on a 1960's man: Dipper's greatest strenght was NEVER his brains.
I mean, he's incredibly smart, there's no doubt. But Gravity Falls is not a place in which you can survive with that alone despite Gideon and Ford saying so.
Dipper's greatest strenght was always the same as Stan: it's how much he loves his family and how far he's willing to go for his sister.
That same love was what made him stand up to the weirdness in Gravity Falls and always find a way out countless times. It's the reason he could sacrifice things for Mabel again and again and never once feel like she was in debt. The reason he could rescue her from Bill's perfect prison in Mabeland and EVEN THE REASON FORD WAS STILL HERE FOR WEIRDMAGEDDON.
The only thing able to subdue Dipper's very naturally human fear of death was his love for his new great uncle.
On a parallel note, Ford's strenght was actually the same as Mabel all along. His love for the unconventional and ability to think outside the box.
The same episode Mabel meets her favorite magical creature and finds out they're an asshole we get the flashback of Ford experiencing the exact same thing.
Pretty much I'm pretending to be a poet but really I'm just obsessed with stuff. she/her.. 18 (1-19-07).. ENFP
