books similar to the selection (royal is presented with a bunch of people of the opposite sex to choose a life partner from (usually a male royal presented with girls. they get married at the end) usually end up with a part where the two people are like ‘lets be friends’ and thus starts the slow burn from friends to lovers HOWEVER such a book could be improved if instead they never left the friend stage and bond over both of them being aromantic (and maybe also asexual or on the ace-spec) and the rest of the book is just them whispering jokes to each other over group dinners and working on solving problems and the royal realizes that their new BFF is not only the funniest person they’ve ever met they also have an amazing mind for politics and they eventually get married (because thats the whole point of this ‘selection’ and they realize that 1. if they don’t the country will get upset and the royal will be pushed into another relationship or something, 2. it would be weird to just keep you’re new best friend around after ending the ‘selection’ and either royal’s parents or some other government authority would want BFF out of the castle, and 3. they want to spend the rest of their purely platonic lives together) and eventually they adopt some kids and maybe some animals as well and live out their best lives.

idk asexual ace aromantic aro the power of friendship book idea maybe its because im aromantic or maybe its because i have a good head on my shoulders i think it would work well if the royal was also romance repulsed my sister is reading a selection type book where instead of looking for love the main girl wants to marry the royal guy and kill him to become queen but now i think she's gonna start falling in love with him because shes no longer gonna murder him the aromantics and asexuals would love it also literally anyone else could this be considered a writing prompt?

LIKE.. supernatural dean winchester you know spn for many reasons he wants everyone around all the time wants them all safe wants to protect them and feels like that's his responsibility he wants to make food for everyone as a way to care for them he really just wants to live a normal life in a normal house of his own ? :( also i think a lot about how he lost his mother so young and had to take mary's place for sam and probably tried to emulate a lot of what he remembered of her for young sam because sam never got to meet her and she loved them and what she did made dean feel loved so he tried to do it for sammy perhaps i'm thinking too much he's also very dad but i think that's because he's very Parent and i see him more as mother-coded i'm going to go eat glass about this mary comes back to realize that in her a sense her son was forced to become her AND like it's also in the way he cares about and worries about people am i getting at anything here
