post-battle tank-on-tank action
(i just wanted to draw a really dramatic kiss and was in the mood for Ashton, so i threw my favorite halfling at em)

from a wee bit ago, while watching the cr bg3 vod ^_^
[image description: 2 digitally coloured pencil drawings of critical role characters. the first is of ashton, leaning on their elbows, smirking and and flipping someone off, labelled 'to chet'. the second image is a portrait of caduceus, based on his level 20 design. he is smiling slightly and looking to the side. end ID]

happy valentine's day, friends! 💜
a week or so ago i ran a bunch of polls on what kind of shadowgast picture i should draw for v-day, and y'all have helped me build something really fun! especially with the three winners of the color poll (purple, teal, and orange!). i don't know how much of a 'regular shadowgast' this picture has turned out to be (regular shadowgast are probably studying ancient tomes in a dusty library as we speak), but let's say that i am giving you the plot bunny gift of figuring out the setting of this scene 😏
tip jar!

that sick day stream reminded me that I always wanted to make FCG human AU, so.
Orym and Will's wedding. Thank goodness that Tumblr is one of two places where this doesn't need a content warning (the other being my Patreon). <3

I was bored, have an eye +progress gif and reference (jumpscare❗️)
just over a year ago, @saturdaysky commissioned me with an absolutely outstanding shadowgast prompt; namely, 'Caleb helping Essek put on a fancy outfit'. i'm sure you can imagine how ecstatic i was about it (just look at that line, every single word in it is designed to make me go heart eyes), and i'm finally finished and excited to post this bad boy. i hope you guys enjoy this picture too and my very optimistic wish is that it inspires all sorts of lovely stories in your minds 😏
sky gave me a beautiful prompt and a specific atmosphere/mood to depict, but was very patient and generous about letting me go wild on the actual posing, colors and details, so naturally i did 😂 my idea of using a mirror in the composition was admittedly rather ambitious, and lead me to reading up quite a bit on optics, the physics of reflections and reflections in art specifically (as well as the history of zippers and other closures!), so not only was this commission a delight from the point of view of its topic, but i also learned a fair amount of new stuff while working on it. honestly speaking, i like to think that the bookworm wizards would approve of my little adventure.
thank you for commissioning me! 💜
#this is adorable #but I cannot imagine orym is comfortable with his face pressed up against those pointy-ass crystals #edit I am stupid and didn't see the second part #phenomenal art nonetheless

For anyone worried about missing anything in BG3 or replaying the game and wanting to find something they missed there’s a ton of checklists available online and I’m just gonna post the ones I’ve been using for all the acts in case anybody else wants to reference them!
all my advice about using real athletes to learn drawing bodies beyond hard abs, and my particular pref being wrestlers, also applies to women btw. you can draw women who r strong and not an hourglass shape. fucking do it.
kris statlander, rhea ripley (look at her SHAPE), willow nightingale, ruby soho, these r just four off the top of my head that have obvious musculature and different body types. skye blue and julia hart have more slim cheerleader style bodies as well, i REALLY wanted to put emi sakura who is fucking STOUT (adoring) in this post but i couldn't find a good demonstrative pic, the list goes on

All it cost was my life in the sun. Now I belong to the shadows.

finally figured out cable’s tattoos and made references for them!
this was a big thing i’d been putting off, bc frankly i didn’t know how i’d draw each tattoo, where i’d place them, and it was hard for me to visualize the design wrapping around his arm unless i made a turnaround. so i did just that. i’m extremely happy with this and proud of how they came out!

[ID: a coloured digital drawing of Yasha, Caduceus and Caleb from Critical Role from the shoulder-up. it says "3 autism reactions to: make eye contact when you speak" above them. yasha is labelled "death stare" and is staring ahead with an intimidating expression. caduceus is labelled "didn't listen (forgor)" and is looking to the side with a spiral above his head. caleb is labelled with a frightened emoticon and is staring ahead nervously and sweating. they are all wearing variations on their original canon outfits. end ID.]

Someone tried to get one of my posts to breach containment almost a week ago now and it's still only got like 50 notes.
This fact has filled me with hubris.
My containment is unbreachable. I have four blogs and never gotten more than 100 notes on a post. The majority of this site Cannot Percive me. I can post whatever I want and nobody except for some of my beloved mutuals and followers will see it.
I am invisible. I am free.
