alright so ruidus lore time. the order of events as i follow:

Gods arrive on an Exandria already home to the Primordials; create mortal life.

Predathos arrives. The gods recognize this - from before their arrival? and creates creatures (aberrations??)

Predathos eats Ethedok the Endless Shadow, god of Winter, and Vordo the Fate Shaper, god of Fate

Gods & Primordials team up, seal it in a piece of Exandria. They try to fling it back into the void but instead it becomes Ruidus

Schism, primordials are sealed away

Tishtan are pre-Age of Arcanum traveling magic people who mysteriously disappeared

RQ ascends, takes the place of the god of death and the domains of Winter and Fate on the apogee solstice

Calamity

Otahan Thul, a follower of the Raven Queen, loses her faith (?) and begins to reach out in dream of Ruidus, gains powers,

Otohan starts working with Cerberus Assembly & Unseelie Court to gather Ruidusborn at a site of old Tishtan ruins that was important to a previous Solstice

Look my favourite 'Starscream joins the Autobots' concept involves him absolutely playing up his victimhood in a manipulative attempt to win sympathy. He's a Decepticon! He's Starscream. Of course he does! He will act however weak and vulnerable he needs to, in order to achieve his ends.

This gives him a fascinating duality. He's a Machiavellian selfish would-be-tyrant who fucking dares the Autobots to feel sorry for him; while at the same time, he's a wheedling, snivelling mess, making puppy-dog eyes as he cunningly reveals tailored scraps of his abusive relationship with Megatron to win over the 'soft-sparked' Autobots.

Everything he shares is true.

In fact, things with Megatron were probably even worse than he portrays, albeit more complex - i.e., with far more goading and violence on his side, but which in NO WAY justified the ghastly abuse he was subjected to.

This is a way for him to feel like he's in control of the shit that's been done to him. If he's using his victim status as a weapon, it feels like it's his. He's taken possession of it. He's made it into something more powerful, in his mind (even if this defence tactic kinda... prevents him from fully recognising that what happened to him was actually really really awful).

I wish more fics engaged with this aspect of his character, where he's PERFECTLY WILLING to go 'OH THE ABUSE. OH I HAVE SUFFERED' if it'll get him ahead in life, while perhaps not even fully understanding just how much trauma he's gone through.

This drawing has been lying around, almost finished, for ages because I tried to do something fancy with it that I just wasn't able to do with coloured pencils. I kinda anticipated that what I wanted to do wouldn't look good, so I saved it on my computer before I tried. I did mess it up in the end, so I'm happy I took precautions lol.

does anyone know if i can like block sites from appearing in my google images searches??? i keep getting those awful ai generated things with a hand coming out of a man's neck and just straight up not what i was looking for, because this was in a search for "curly hair in medieval paintings". it happens every time i search for anything vaguely art-reference-like and it's so fucking annoying and it clutters my search results so much. i don't wanna add specific commands to the query every time too, what i need is like a browser extension or something
