Something More, for You and I - Part 1

Summary: Reginald "Rex" Fettson is the Land Agent for Shillshire Castle in England, the home of Lady Amelia Ahsoka Tano, his childhood sweetheart. When war breaks out across Europe in 1914, Rex is swiftly sent to the frontlines and in his absence Ahsoka is hurriedly engaged to a member of fine society at her father's behest: a Member of Parliament with great connections and even greater wealth.

When Rex is on leave from the frontlines, the two meet again, by chance, or perhaps by fate. Will they rekindle their long, lost love despite the limitations of their rank and station? Or will they obey the expectations of their positions, and allow life's one true love to pass them by?

Welcome to my Rexsoka AU: inspired by Downton Abbey and a recent trip I took to England. After touring all the castles and the English countryside, I couldn't help the flood of ideas I had for early 1910s Rexsoka <3 Some inspiration has been taken from Downton Abbey (which is one of my favorite shows of all time, if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it), and from the history of similar estates and wealthy families of that time, but I tried to give it my own spin.
