My job and my husband's job are gone ๐.Israeli military forced us to evacuate from the north Gaza to the south where they claimed it would be the safe zone but it is not at all๐ญ
Forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs, today, we find ourselves sheltering in a displacement camp lacking access to sanitation, medical supplies, food and drinkable water.ย I will not talk a lot about the dire and unbearable life we have to go through, as no word can express it fairly๐ฅบ๐ฃ
The good news in the midst of this tragedy, that I am one of the 22 women from the developing world who have been awarded OWSD- PhD fellowship to pursue my PhD study in Malaysia๐ช. But now I am stuck in Gaza unable to achieve my dream because Israeli army has occupied and closed all the border crossings๐ข

Hello, my name is Iman, and I am a mother of five children,. I live with my family in northern Gaza, where we are facing famine and hardships due to the harsh war on Gaza. We had lived a relatively peaceful life despite the challenges imposed by the long blockade on Gaza before the war.
We have been displaced eight times, moving from one school to another, and now we are living a life of homelessness and starvation. Even clean water is unavailable. ๐๐ญ My children are starving and suffer from malnutrition every day, going to bed hungry. I cry for my two-year-old daughter when she asks for milk, which we cannot provide. Her frail body survives on flour and stale bread, deprived of everything. My children crave vegetables, meat, and fruits; we haven't eaten any of these in 10 months, since the war started. Our bodies have deteriorated, our bones have weakened, and my son Mohamed's chest bones have become visible, along with the vertebrae of his spine. He also suffers from scabies due to the lack of cleanliness and medicine. Our bodies are filled with rashes from the heat because we are living with 40 people in a small, overcrowded classroom. My children have been deprived of education, even though they were all excelling in their studies

I contemplate the happy faces of people around me here in Ireland and reminisce about the happy normal life my family and I had before the war. A life that turned into a distant memory for us and was replaced by an unending series of horrible nightmares.
Unlike my family in Gaza, people here have access to drinking water, all types of food, electricity, and a roof over their heads. Above all, they are safe, and I cannot help but wonder if they genuinely do appreciate these blessings in their lives enough.
People seem relaxed and laughing wholeheartedly around me in Ireland. I wish I could laugh too, but I am crushed way beyond recovery on the inside. I was evacuated by my Irish college after five months of living the horrors of war in Gaza. I hope you will never know what it feels like to live in constant fear and worry and be horrified by the most sickening and scary nightmares every single night while you are far away from your family in such circumstances.
When did my people in Gaza cease to be human beings worthy and deserving of a normal life? Has it become normal now for my family in Gaza to be starved and killed while the whole world is watching the genocide? If that is the case, then you will have to excuse me if I seek every avenue to bring them to Ireland and start a new normal life like all people here around me.
I was assured by the Irish Reugee Council (IRC) and lawyers in Ireland that there is hope I can reunite with my family in Ireland. In difficult times, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me and my family, you are literally our light and hope for a better life.

My name is Salem Al-Anqar, a 26-year-old man. I lived a simple life, full of hope and hard work in Gaza. I owned an electrical and mechanical workshop for cars, as well as a car wash. Every day, I woke up with enthusiasm to build my future and provide the best for my family.
But life in Gaza does not keep anything beautiful. The recent war that devastated us was a nightmare that cannot be described. I saw my dreams crumble before my eyes. I lost my workshop, my car wash, and everything I built through years of hard work and dedication. But the biggest blow wasn't in losing material thingsโit was in losing myself.
During one of the random bombings, a shrapnel hit my back. That was the moment that changed my life forever. I woke up to find myself unable to move the lower half of my body. I, who once stood on my feet for hours, working, building, and helping others, am now confined to a wheelchair, living in a daily struggle with pain and despair.
I searched for any glimmer of hope that could restore my life. I spent all the money I had and traveled to Sweden in search of treatment that could change my fate. I spent everything I had accumulated throughout my life on doctors, consultations, and tests, but I am still far from recovery.
The doctors confirmed that the only solution is a series of complex surgeries that might restore my ability to move. But these surgeries are not ordinary; they are risky, with a success rate of no more than 10%. The costs are extremely high, in addition to the necessary treatments for me to walk again. The total cost for these surgeries and treatments exceeds 1,000,000 Swedish Krona.
I am now completely unable to cover these costs after having spent everything I had. Life has become an unbearable burden, but I still cling to the last thread of hope write these words now with a heavy heart, but with great faith in the humanity and compassion of others. All I ask for is a chance to restore my life.

Unlike my family in Gaza, people here have access to drinking water, all types of food, electricity, and a roof over their heads. Above all, they are safe, and I cannot help but wonder if they genuinely do appreciate these blessings in their lives enough.
People seem relaxed and laughing wholeheartedly around me in Ireland. I wish I could laugh too, but I am crushed way beyond recovery on the inside. I was evacuated by my Irish college after five months of living the horrors of war in Gaza. I hope you will never know what it feels like to live in constant fear and worry and be horrified by the most sickening and scary nightmares every single night while you are far away from your family in such circumstances.
When did my people in Gaza cease to be human beings worthy and deserving of a normal life? Has it become normal now for my family in Gaza to be starved and killed while the whole world is watching the genocide? If that is the case, then you will have to excuse me if I seek every avenue to bring them to Ireland and start a new normal life like all people here around me.
I was assured by the Irish Reugee Council (IRC) and lawyers in Ireland that there is hope I can reunite with my family in Ireland. In difficult times, it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For me and my family, you are literally our light and hope for a better life.

I am Maram Al-Nabulsi, I currently live in the completely destroyed ๐๐city of Gaza, specifically Khan Younis. Since the war on Gaza began on 10/7/2023, my family - my father Muhammad, my mother Hiba and my siblings Nour, Maram, Mahmoud - have been living in constant fear, crying and suffering because of shrapnel, shells and bullets. We have no food๐ฅ๐ฏ, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools๐ข๐, no homes๐, no cleaning supplies, no clothes๐งฃ๐งฅ๐งค. Our house was completely destroyed. My school was bombed, and my sister Nour's university was turned into rubble, which deprived us all of education. The war forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents that are not suitable for living, especially in winter. Every day we live death, terror and panic a thousand times because of the continuous bombing of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble. Imagine: We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times, and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. If we stay in Gaza, we may lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza to a safe place. However, the travel costs are very high. We need more than 70 thousand dollars to leave Gaza. Due to the exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, insecurity, the ongoing blockade, and the continuous bombing, we have lost all our money. Imagine waking up to find that your world has changed in a moment, and you have lost your security and peace, and your home has been destroyed, and you have become homeless and living in conditions that no human being can bear. I suffer from chronic diseases, high blood pressure and diabetes. My medication has run out for some time and I am facing difficulty in obtaining it in light of the lack of treatment in hospitals and health centers. Most of the time I cannot feel my limbs, but I am trying to resist. I do not want to die in such circumstances. I still have hope that this war will end and we will rebuild our beautiful and beloved country again and live in safety. I believe in divine power and justice and that all this pain will go away.
I am trying to endure these difficult conditions that I live in inside a small tent and a bathroom a few meters away from my tent and you know the conditions of diabetics in this case but once again there is still hope. I used to live at the expense of my daughters but with all sadness and regret they have all lost their homes and places of work and they have no source of income left and their situation is like that of any Gazan who is still inside Gaza struggling with death, hunger, diseases and extreme heat each one struggling to feed his children I cannot ask them for help so I have resorted to you and I am fully confident in your humanity to help me so that I can provide food and treatment and provide a better tent than the one I live in because it is torn and the place is full of insects. If I can provide treatment, I want to continue my life and see my grandchildren grow up around me. I donโt want to go now. I know that I donโt have as much life left as I have, but I have the right to live and enjoy this. Please donโt hesitate to help your mother who has come to you with a heavy and sad heart.
