If Steve and Bucky got married it wouldn't stay secret. How would they deal with the media firestorm that came afterwards, especially since i think no one outside the avengers would even know they were a couple?

I don’t know where you got the idea that either Steve or Bucky cared about what the public was saying about them?  They are going to be so happy that:

They finally had stopped mutually pining over each other

They could actually get married now

There is a chance that they might actually get to be happy

They are just going to take that and not give a fuck about what people they don’t even know say.  Bucky isn’t really going to be dealing with it.  People already talk shit about him, at least this is shit about something that he’s not ashamed of.  It’s possible Steve might get asked about it in a negative way in an interview, it’s unlikely but possible.  If that happened he’d just shut them down, tell him when his love life stops him from saving the world then maybe other people get a say.
