Greeks didn't have numerals, so they use this system with their letters, where they either put a dot next to or wrote it twice to signify it was a number, so right to left:
Αα = upper and lowercase alpha = 1
Ρρ = upper and lowercase rho (i know it looks like a p, but it sounds like an r) = 100
Σσς = uppercase and both forms of the lowercase sigma (weird o is for start or middle of a word and the essy one is for when it's at the end of a word) = 200
Ττ = upper and lowercase tau = 300
Υυ = upper and lowercase upsilon = 400
Θθ = upper and lowercase phi = 500
Xx = upper and lowercase chi = 600
in short, they're how Greeks would have written the floor numbers.
does anybody have any idea about what the greek letters on the elevator might mean??
are those initials of some specific word ? do they have another meaning ? i need to know
