So excited to post some of the silly stories and art I've been doing

I wasn't convinced but now marichat is my favourite couple of the lovesquare

marichat isnt the sin ship for fucks sake it's the dumbass idiots to lovers "we're both touch starved so i guess we'll hug each other or something" type of weirdos who stay up till 3am talking about how pissed they are about school assignments and watching bad horror movies that chat noir gets Actually Scared Of until they turn it off and decide to raid the bakery kitchen in the dead of night and eat too much and end up holding each others hair back as they throw up over the balcony. and also chat noir asking marinette questions he'd be way too embarrassed to ask anyone else because for the longest time he didnt actually know what a period was because nobody ever bothered to explain it to him and theyve maybe once or twice broken down sobbing about actual life problems but got over it the next second bc the other made a really stupid gross joke that made them laugh so hard they nearly passed out so they forget what they were even talking about in the first place. they are the best friends who are way too honest with each other (as honest as they can be with identities at stake) and overshare a bit too much with practically no boundaries until one day they admit theyre actually pretty lonely and would Love To Be Kissed And Held and joke about how funny it would be if they dated each other since theyre both Lonely™ until uh oh, wait a minute, should they really—

and that's why it's good

We’ve all been wearing masks for the last few years to prevent the spread of covid-19 and still could recognize each other, or at least the people that we saw daily, and yet no one has addressed superhero masks that cover like their eyebrows and the bridge of their nose. By those half mask standards, I have a secret identity too. We all do. Except the Karens who wouldn’t wear masks. They’re the villains who want attention from the media. #artimitateslife #andlifeimitatesart

But like seriously, superhero masks are something we should just call plot holes by 2020 after the coronavirus mask mandates. Just think about the whole love square in Miraculous Ladybug. Listen, Marinette, if I can recognize my crush when the bottom half of their face is covered then you should be able to recognize Adrien in what is essentially a pair of sunglasses. Guess you haven’t longingly stared into his eyes as much as the show would have us believe.

There’s also Steve not recognizing Bucky on the bridge before his muzzle fell off (though I will give him a break because his bf HAD been dead for over seventy years to his knowledge) so from now on I will be imagining that the Russos just forgot to show us Steve’s inner monologue of “isn’t that Bucky?? No Bucky is dead :( wait but what if it is Bucky?? I mean Coulson came back. And Loki. Loki has come back many times. Wait okay no I think I’d recognize that icey blue glare from decades away, that’s the Bucky look for ‘Steve I told you not to do the thing why did you do the thing I’m gonna kill you’ except this time he’s actually trying to kill me,,,, oh is hIS MASK FALLING OFF oh is that his mask there on the ground oH I KNEW IT WAS “Bucky??”

And I know people have talked about why it actually would make sense that the lack of glasses would make it hard for the world to know that Superman is Clark Kent but I’m gonna bring this one up anyways because guys we can all recognize one of our coworkers without their glasses on there is NO WAY that Lois Lane a woman who’s PROFESSION is deduction of events which she then reports to the general public cannot recognize her coworker in a costume. If you saw the lady who works at the front desk in a cheerleader outfit you’d still know it was her, but Lois can’t for some reason do the same with Clark?? She does her journalism all day with her right hand man Clark by her side RIGHT UP UNTIL she reports on Superman (which she does quite often, might I add) who is just Clark in spandex and No Glasses™️ and you’re telling me that this lady has no idea they’re the same person??? She works with one of them all day and then is gazing at reporting on the other one the rest of the time and has no idea??? Also I get that Clark is the alias and he’s actually Superman the man from Krypton which is why he makes less effort to conceal his face as Superman because that’s him and Clark covers up with glasses because it’s a clever plot device to show which one is his true self, but can we talk about how he MAKES LESS EFFORT TO CONCEAL HIMSELF AS SUPERMAN AND YET ALL THE PEOPLE HE KNOWS AS CLARK STILL DO NOT KNOW HE IS SUPERMAN???

I’M OFFICIALLY COMING FOR ALL COMIC BOOK ARTISTS, DIRECTORS, ANIMATORS, AND PRODUCERS WHO DON’T COVER THEIR CHARACTERS ENTIRE FACE AND PRETEND THEIR IDENTITY IS STILL IN TACT. if marinette gives the cat miraculous to adrien after cat noir (who she doesnt know is already adrien) gives it up then when cat walker (who is also adrien) shows up and flirts shes gonna like it bc she knows its adrien! meanwhile adrien is gonna be crushed because he’s loved her for so long and she always goes on about how she already has someone she loves but catwalker shows up for five minutes not even being flirty and she looks damn near head over heels, he’s gonna be so confused like where did the “i like someone so no” energy go? or was she just saying that bc she really didnt wanna be with cat noir that much ajhbahsb ANGST ANGST ANGST!!!

If Luka ends up being The Supreme, I'm gonna sue Thomas Astruc.

The new miraculous world episode has me hooked!

I might be completely wrong about this, but since the world's are complete parallels it only makes sense that the one who chose to be true to himself DESPITE knowing the true identities of ladybug and chat noir turns out to be the evil mastermind which means that the Supreme is none other than Luka.

I truly can't get over how well mlb portrays symbolism:

"Sometimes, destroying is the right path to build the new."

The way it starts with breaking when shadybug loses hope in her wish after seeing plagg and tikki's kwami forms explode. The way Shadybug truly sees what she has become when she sees a shattered mirror and how Marinette makes her realize that she could be different by seeing her reflection in a fixed one.

(The parallel between both bugs facing each other was beautiful)

The same way looking at Adrien, at his own (albeit, distorted) reflection, Claw noir also feels the same, like somehow both LadyNoir reflected what they truly wanted.

Throughout the episode, Hawkmoth continues to wear glasses and does not come face to face with Betterfly, showing that he does not wish to change even on the inside.

But either way, the best part of the episode was how when both Marinette and Adrien were talking to Shadybug and Claw noir, they were talking to their past selves as well... Marinette to herself who had been bullied relentlessly by Chloe and Adrien to himself before he started going to school and met all the people in his life.

The awakening movie was so impactful, but its strongest aspects were its subtleties.

The way it starts with Master Fu saying that together Ladybug and Chat Noir possess something stronger than death and in the end Gabriel says the only thing that is, is love.

How the movie uses symbolism to highlight Marinette's connection to Plagg and with extension Adrien AT EVERY STEP. From Alya calling her a catastrophe magnet to her hearing a cat before entering the alleyway where she first meets Tikki to EVEN REVEALING HER IDENTITY TO ADRIEN BY WEARING A BLACK MASK!

How Marinette uses a book with a black cat cover to hide herself from Adrien but at the same time reveals a glimpse of his future to him!

The one thing that truly broke my heart was when Chat asks Ladybug to "give it time to grow" as if he has always expected love to gradually arise and never to be loved instantly. Like he looked at his father, every day, hoping that if he keeps being dutyful, keeps listening and obeying, his father will grow to love him.

#4: Balcony

I dabbled with pixel art for the first time last week. ‘Miraculous Ladybug’ fans will hopefully recognize Marinette’s rooftop balcony as inspired by the episode ‘Glaciator’!

Miraculous Reveal where Mari recognizes Chat as Adrien because of a freckle or birthmark she saw on Adrien and then having to admit spending so much time staring at Adriens chest that she has it memorized... Its probably already a thing. Ima dig and see if I can find it.

Marichat is actually like such an identity red flag. Obviously Chat is really comfortable with Marinette, because he is Adrien and Marinette is really comfortable around Chat, because she is Ladybug. But, without this information, their relationship is really weird? Like, how do you know each other so well and if either of them would just think about this fact for two seconds they'd realise that they HAVE to know each other outside of just Marichat.

I'm more than sure LB/Marinette and CN/Adrien will never be a couple and that just tears my heart.
