Do you think the show will let us know Lestat becomes a rockstar to try and shield Louis? Or do you think they will try and make it like Lestat wants Louis to know he is fine without him? (He’s not)

I think the ending of S2 was a deliberate setup to coincide with how TVL begins — Louis is in danger, and Lestat concocts the rockstar career in an effort to shield him.

They let us hear all those threats against Louis for two reasons. One, it was meant to show that Louis is owning himself finally and is not the same as he was before. He is now The Vampire Louis. Two, like I said, it was setting up Lestat’s main reason for doing what he does with the rockstar shenanigans.

I also don’t think Lestat will be actively trying to convince Louis that he’s “fine” without him. It will be more like Lestat doesn’t want to burden Louis or be “too much” for Louis and will only want to give what he thinks Louis wants to receive.

In other words, he will be at Louis’ feet…..just like he’s really always been at Louis’ feet.

Okay, so

Was anyone reminded of Louis's brother when he stepped into the sunlight? His brother stepped off the roof so casually, and Louis did the same when he walked onto the roof to expose himself to the sunlight

This is kinda a stretch but before he walks to the roof when he says that Claudia's calling for him, that reminded me of his brother too

Because his brother heard birds that spread the word of god

And Claudia played Baby Lou, who was so in love with birds that she wanted to jump out the window to fly with them

So when he hears Claudia calling for him, in a way he's hearing birds just like his brother

What I love most about the finale is how it shows Louis finally on his own and content. Claudia calls him out for it multiple times, “who are you without me” who is Louis alone, because he never gets a chance to find out between his relationships to his family then lestat then Claudia then armand. Louis is always having to perform a role for those he loves and he has no idea who he is alone. The whole “yes maitre” roleplay with armand divorces him even further from who he is, forcing him back into the role of Louis the pimp.

But instead of going back to lestat Louis decides to be on his own, to fully be himself, and the redecorated apartment full of colour and pictures of Claudia and his brother is a beautiful expression of this.

The number of times I have actually screamed at Daniel's sassy commentary in Interview with the Vampire. The beginning of Season 2, Episode 1 alone is wild. Daniel blasting Louis for spending eight hours talking about "how to avoid the sun and torpedoes" during WWII. Daniel asking Real Rashid, "Where did they send you when Shah Rukh Khan over there was playing you?" Daniel emphasizing in front of Armand that Lestat is Louis' true love (Daniel Molloy the #1 Loustat shipper confirmed). One thing's for sure, Daniel is making this interview an experience for everyone involved. Kudos to him.

lestat's hair getting longer between season 1 and 2 is so funny to me. do you think louis approached daniel after 1.07 like "daniel, i want to thank you for what you said to me last night about lestat's murder. i have been reevaluating certain events, gaining new, truer perspectives. i feel that i need to tell you, daniel.... i lied to you, and to myself, about lestat's hairstyle. it was longer than i led you to believe, more shoulder length really, though no less seductive.... i want our readers to understand that" and daniel wrote in his notes for lestat "no cunty bob"
