and before someone can go “but what if they say no” you respect their boundary it's a healthy thing for them and you to do from time to time sure not having constant access to someone in every way you want sometimes feels bad but i promise that very thing is often a trademark of healthy relationships as long as both of you can be there for each other some of the time then there can be room for a relationship. just don't put up with any abuse or toxicity if someone is just never there for you but you're always there for them then that's toxic.
