Disappointing— is something the villain can’t really say, but he sure feels it. He had such hopes for Rody, and while they may not have been proven by anything, he had a hunch. But everything may not be lost yet — if what the other boy is saying is true, and it’s the coordinates for Humarise’s main base, Izuku might still find what he’s looking for.
“I will, if I have to,” he informs as he examines the paper, trusting the information to his memory before he pushes the note deep into his pocket. “Better get ready, then,” he continues, eyes back up to stare at the other. “If you had any plans for tonight, they’ve just changed.”
Of course he’s going to drag Rody along, both in a role of his safeguard and companion. A two hour flight sounds like a boring trip for someone taking it alone, but having the other boy with him should make it worthy of his time. Even if Izuku discovers nothing of value at the base, he may still be able to force some more information out of the other on their way there. “Come on, we don’t have a whole day.”
Gray eyes met the other’s gaze with surprise. He expected Rody to come with him? All the way to the Humarise base that he never wanted to step foot in again? He could feel Pino rustling around in his coat pocket as his mind started reeling, staring at the other as he gathered his thoughts.
Of course he had plans for tonight; to go back home to his siblings! He couldn’t leave Roro and Lala alone. Not again. The whole world mission thing was enough as is. He almost died. He could’ve lost them forever.
“What?” He finally spat out, disbelief heavy in his voice. He didn’t want to bring up his siblings. He didn’t want them to be brought into this in any way. If they weren’t mentioned, they would be safe. But it would be hard to give a clear excuse that wasn’t the truth. “No- no, I’m not going with you. I can’t.” His tone was firm and determined, with the slightest tinge of worry and fear to it. Rody had no clue how Usagi would react to such an outright no. “That wasn’t part of the deal. I got you info, now you’re on your own.”
