"Ranpo!"

You giggled as he put his index finger on his lips signaling you to be quiet. His lips formed into a big and cheeky smile.

Mischief was loud in his eyes as he grabbed your hand gently and pushed the door open to find Fukuzawa in his office.

Currently the vacant office of there's only consisted of you two and Fukuzawa.

"C'mon!"

With the soft click of the door Ranpo pulled you along. You laughed as he made you follow him. Both of you ultimately cracked up into giggles as you two went down the steps of the office.

Fukuzawa looked up from his desk and looked towards his desk. The door that was closed had those two kids he saved those many years ago.

They had something planned. A soft smile spread to his face hearing such giggles.

The exact plan you guys had was devious. While the president was out of the office, everyone else like the main detective was off on missions.

Unbeknownst to him, the other workers were onto it too, and they gladly participated. Light fun that no doubt would make even the stoic President crack a small smile.

"Grab the bubble wrap!" Ranpo opened the president's door to his office. A sublime office that was clean and honorable of a man like Fukuzawa.

The only way Fukuzawa had any idea was because of the hoarding of bubble wrap in your room. The man had been taking care of you for a time and it wasn't hard to find things you were trying to hide.

You hadn't been on the streets long enough to develop that skill.

Plus he heard you rambling about it to Yosano who came to visit.

"Got it!" You brought mountains of bubble wrap rolls which made Ranpo grin widely. He patted your head gently, "Good job!" You visibly brightened at the praise.

It was then that you guys got to work.

To the desk to the chair was covered in the stuff. As you did Ranpo gave you candy after candy. A rare chance any agency member; and you happened to be an exception.

Fukuzawa could hear the shuffling. The numerous interns and such watched with bated breath. They saw a soft yet faint smile on his face. Hearing you and Ranpo scurry about as you did your prank.

He heard the two of you stop moving at the sound of his feet stopping at the door. A chuckle was stuck in his throat as he imagined you and Ranpo standing there wide eyed.

When opening the door he found bubble wrap around the furniture in his office and no you or Ranpo in sight.

His eyes drifted to the desk where a chair was slightly more put than normal. His smile threatened to become bigger.

"Ranpo." His voice was deep with softness and familiarity. He heard a squeak and then a hush. He said your name gently and it wasn't hard to hear your voice hitch.

"Shhh!"

You giggled in response. Another hush was followed with, and then groaned from the younger man.

Fukuzawa pulled the chair out to find Ranpo against the wall of the desk and you pressed against his chest. His arms wrapped around you and sharing that same childish look.

"Hi!" You giggled brightly. Fukuzawa mentally clutched his heart at your cuteness.

"President." Ranpo was pouting and it was just as cute. Fukuzawa might as well died right there.

"You got me. Very creative." He was a man of simple words. Fukuzawa was impressed even if he knew that they were up to something.

Ranpo whined, as he could see that the older man knew, but he remained smiling seeing you happily clap that he was surprised by your bubble wrapping prank.

Fukuzawa loved his kids. You two along with the rest of the agency were his kids.

He watched with a faint smile of you gleefully cheer with Ranpo who was albeit sulking under the surface that he figured it out.

Everyone is worried that Dazai will be chosen for the PM exchange, but hear me out, guys. What if Fukuzawa is the one who joins PM? What if he sacrifices himself for ADA?Firstly, I found it really weird and out of character that he accepted that exchange thing because he really cares about all the ADA members. So why would he accept a condition like that? Regarding Dazai, I think it's unlikely that Fukuzawa would have him exchanged to PM that easily because he knows how hard it is to leave the world of darkness, and Dazai is trying his best to become a good person. Fukuzawa knows that and cares about Dazai as much as he cares about the other members. So I don't think he'll push him back into the darkness like that. As for the other members, Kenji and Tanizaki (even though he said he doesn't mind getting exchanged to PM in season 4) are unlikely because they are still kids. Kyouka is out of the question, he denied giving Yosano to PM, Atsushi (even though it would be a good plot twist) is still unlikely, and the same goes for Ranpo and Kunikida. None of them have killed someone before, but Fukuzawa was a well-known and fully trained assassin (which would also save the time and resources required to train the new member) and could be a great asset for PM. They also said that Kunikida is the closest to becoming a successor for Fukuzawa if anything happens to him, which might be foreshadowing. And most importantly, Fukuzawa is a father figure to the ADA members, and Asagiri hates father figures😭😭😭😭 Well we never know what mori is thinking so anything can happen. But I really think that it'll be Fukuzawa.

I wanted so bad to do an animation with this song for the latest chapter, but I suck at drawing.

Anyway, I just didn't expect how the chapter went, but I it makes me scared.

When it’s the teen members of the agency who mess up or something, it’s usually Kunikida who talks and lectures them about it. Sometimes the others will join in like Dazai or Yosano and if it’s really serious Fukuzawa will get involved, but it’s generally Kunikida.

But when the senior members of the Agency mess up or something it’s always Fukuzawa who talks to them. The only one who gets a bonus Kunikida lecture with it is Dazai. And it’s always so surreal for the teens to watch them hang their heads theatrically and head to Fukuzawa’s office.

Kunikida’a lectures pretty much always start with "what the hell were you thinking! Oh that’s right, you weren’t!" While Fukuzawa ages like 30 years, sighs heavily into his tea and is just like "I’m not mad, just disappointed."

And yet both end them by offering support and making sure everyone’s okay. Because at the end of the day whatever mistakes were made can’t be changed, what we can do is go forward with what we’ve learned to change what comes next. And all these talks come from a place of concern, of care.

Kunikida put down his tea cup. "How do I know if my words will reach them?" Fukuzawa looked from his protege to the door, gesturing him to open it. Kunikida did so, and was surprised to see Atsushi on the other side. "Oh, erm sorry Kunikida I didn’t realise you guys were busy I can come later." Kunikida shook his head, they were just wrapping up anyway. "What’s wrong Atsushi?" Atsushi went quiet before explaining his issue. "I was going to do it alone but earlier you said to call one of you for help. And Miss Yosano is busy and Ranpo and Dazai are out."

Kunikida nodded "I’m glad you came to me. Go back to your desk, I’ll be there in a minute." Atsushi smiled, relieved and went. "You’ll know" said Fukuzawa, getting Kunikida’s attention. "You’ll know your words have reached them when they come back and ask for your more." He said with a proud smile.

Fukuzawa and Mori switched places?

Imagine after Natsume pairs Mori and Fukuzawa up for his plan Fukuzawa finds out about Mori’s plans to kill the current Port Mafia boss.

Imagine Fukuzawa beats him to it and kills the boss first in the hopes that he can at least make the PM into a lesser evil.

Imagine Mori founds the Armed Detective Agency to stay on the tail of the PM and hopefully get Fukuzawa arrested or at the very least force him out of the boss position…

I kinda understand why Mori is so obsessed with Dazai being in the mafia. I mean, if we forgot abt the fact that he's called the Demon Prodigy, and is a genius, there's also something extremely interesting, and useful for Mori : His ability, No Longer Human.

You remember in Yosano's flashbacks, where Mori explained that powers were the new weapons. He said that the samurai disappeared because they did not understand that the era of the sword was over. And that the nations that won were those that managed to transform a simple cannon into a war machine. And today, superpowers lead the way. And that she had to force the hierarchy to open their eyes. Power are the new war machines. Powers are important. They're a part of our society. Yet, a random boy arrives, and erases it. This whole hierarchy. All these powers. He can delete it. He can take away your only means of defending yourself, of knowing, of fighting, he takes away a part of you. For years, people have controlled their power, and a kid not even 15 years old comes along and decides to take that away from you. As long as he's here, as long as you have any physical contact with him, your power won't work. A part of you won't work. As long as he has any contact with your ability, you won't have it. And that's scary. A man, a genius, a demon, is capable of deleting a part of you.

Like, imagine you're an adult, who managed to excel in their power. You are at the top of the hierarchy. And then, a random man erases it. You are now at your lowest. You're trapped. Especially if you based your attacks on your power, you're done.

Dazai arrives to unbalance the hierarchy. His power isn't for fighting. Your power is stronger than him. Yet, he manages to unbalance everything, what you have known, the hierarchy… It's scary af.

Headcanon that Dazai always asks “okay or not?” without any explanation to Kunikida, before doing smth stupid bc if it turns bad it's ALSO KUNIKIDA'S FAULT

I always found something weird about Kunikida and his past. Dazai said he was a maths teacher, but, how did he manage to be a math teacher and then become one of the first in the armed detective agency? Knowing that Dazai joined around the age of 18-20 (I think), how did he manage to be there before him?? Plus, it seems like he DOESN'T like being a maths teacher.

So, I think either he was forced to become a maths teacher (by his parents or smth) and had a false identity

Or, he was never a maths teacher. Do you remember that one soldier saying "You traitor!" And that Kunikida learned a lot from these soldiers. Personally, I think he was with those soldiers, before changing lanes for X or Y reason. And maybe as the genius Dazai is, he acted like Kunikida was a math teacher.

Plz Asagiri i'm begging you add Victor Hugo in BSD. He's my bbg. Not but honestly, he's like everything we need. The real Victor Hugo is a courageous man, even going so far as to oppose Napoleon. He even mocked him (With a painting where Napoleon was seen as a flying bird, where he was scared, and where Victor Hugo was standing behind.) At first he wasn't like that and stupidly followed others. But ! He changed, opposed the death penalty, made an incredible speech against poverty, defended single women which at the time was frowned upon. Headcanon about one of my favourite duos : Kunikida and Dazai!

1- Kunikida makes Dazai's lunch and makes little notes in it

2- Dazai braid Kunikida's hair

3- Once Kunikida cried because he thought Dazai died and when Dazai came back Kunikida slapped him, hugged him but he was like "I didn't miss you but let me hug you"

4- Kunikida has written for his type of woman "is not Dazai" when he realised Dazai fit almost everything Kunikida wrote.

5- Dazai is born some mouths before Kunikida, so when Dazai pass his birthday, every question Kunikida ask (even the one who are like "where's the water?"), Dazai answer "You're too young to know"

6- Dazai tells every little drama to Kunikida each time he hears one

18- Kunikida always knows when Dazai is bad. Like, Dazai is a genius and all, but Kunikida always asks "Are you okay?" When Dazai doesn't feel great. Kunikida may well not ask how Dazai is doing for days, but when Dazai is really not well, he asks him. He has an instinct.

19- When Dazai is drunk, Kunikida watches Dazai's drink and holds it. And when Kunikida thinks Dazai drank enough, and he refuses to let him drink.

20- Dazai once got into a fight because someone was talking shit about Kunikida. Dazai threatened him to torture him until death if he talk bad about Kunikida again. Kunikida dragged Dazai away to not make it worse…

Asagiri, plz, if Dazai is chosen for the port mafia, make Kunikida sad and worried. Make him fight to get Dazai back. I miss their duo so much. I really want Dazai to feel that he's missed by people. Kunikida isn't even aware that one of the detectives will go to the port mafia, he was at the hospital at that time. I want when Kunikida learns that Dazai is gone, I want him to scream, to scream for the first time against all the detectives, even the most respected one. I want him to go get Dazai even if Fukuzawa forbade him. Why? Why would Kunikida do that ? Because in his ideal, no one suffers. I wish Ranpo would tell him about Dazai's suffering, I would like Kunikida to stand in Mori's way. Because he won't let Dazai get hurt by anyone. Dazai will finally feel like he has a place somewhere. Someone is waiting for him. That he has his place in the agency. Even if I want the whole agency to be worried, I would like Kunikida to be the major character to be concerned abt Dazai. And maybe we'll learn more abt Kunikida's backstory.

Headcanon about my favorite duo in BSD : Ranpo and Yosano !

1 - Their trust in each other is on another planet. Yosano can go so far as to put her life in danger being sure to survive if Ranpo said she would survive.

2 - Yosano has always been feminist, as far as she remembers. So she always talked about her ideas of equality etc to Ranpo, and since Ranpo was a mama's boy, he agreed. Which made her happy to find a boy who was respectful like Ranpo.

3 - Yosano used to have a lot of nightmares of the war when she was younger, Ranpo even changed rooms to be with her to reassure her.

4 - Yosano once did a full face on Ranpo.

5 - They once exchanged their clothes. Ranpo was wearing Yosano's usual ouftit, and Yosano was wearing Ranpo's usual ouftit. It actually fits Yosano, but not for Ranpo…

6 - Ranpo bought her medical books when they were younger and she was coming out of the war, so she's not forced to rely on her ability.

7 - As long as Ranpo is not seriously injured, she refuses to torture him for healing. She just can't. She will heal him like a normal nurse would, and can't use her ability on him.

8 - Ranpo knows how to use makeup and take good pictures because Yosano force him.

9 - They both roast each other, public or not.

10 - Yosano used to rely on him a lot when she was younger. He was her savior, so she used to get stressed whenever he wasn't around. But it got better after a year, and she didn't rely on him that much.

11 - They know each other like the back of their hand, just like when Ranpo said "the danger arrive in 10 seconds", to give the other detectives time to hide before she arrives to ask who wants to accompany her for her purchases.

12 - They gossip like 294628 times a day

13 - Yosano explained medicine to Ranpo, and Ranpo said it's too confusing

14 - Both Yosano and Ranpo came to the conclusion that the agency is just a bunch of mentally ill persons

15 - Ranpo used to carry Yosano's bags. Don't think he enjoyed it
