Niya Sosa-Martinez
On the 24th of October 2014 in Oregon, Niya Sosa-Martinez smoked weed before she fell asleep. Niya was awoken when her 4 year old son, Andre Sosa, was screaming that their home was on fire. More worried about being in trouble for drugs, Niya grabbed the mattress and tried to drag it out, but it got stuck in the door. Instead of grabbing her son Andre she ran to the manager’s officer to get help. It’s reported she watched her son screaming in the flames.
Niya has had previous child neglect charges
In 2015, Niya Sosa-Martinez was sentenced to 11 years

Women Who Kill Christine Reynolds
Elderly grandmother, Gretchen DeStefano, was sitting on her favourite recliner in her Californian home talking to her niece on the phone, on the 28th of August 2014. During this time Gretchen’s daughter, Christine Reynolds, walked in and shot her dead.
Gretchen’s son, Paul DeStefano, found his mothers body as well as his sister at the scene. According to Paul his sister said, “I killed the bitch”. The mother and daughter relationship was strained and it was mainly down to Christine’s alcohol abuse.
In 2015, Christine Reynolds was sentenced to 50 to life
