The Murder of Christina Williams

In April 2017. Charles Holifield is being charged with the kidnap and murder of a 13 year old girl in 1998 and meaning a 19 year old cold case is finally solved.

On the 12th of June 1998, Christina Williams was walking her dog Greg around the Fort Ord area of California. Hours later, the dog came home trailing its lead but Williams was nowhere to be seen.

This case became more high profile when celebrities such as Mariah Carey and Clint Eastwood made public announcements for the girls return. However, 7 months later in January 1999 Williams’s body was found outside the Fort Ord Army Base.

Holifield became a prime suspect in 2009 and was already serving a life sentence for rape and kidnap. In 2011, an ex girlfriend of Holifield recanted her alibi she made as at the time she was threatened.
