Snippet #5

Snippet #5

"Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic. All you are is, pathetic." The villain hushed, the words getting carried into the darkness of nothing but a singular light coming from the window on his left. Silence.

The hero scoffed and then half-laughed, "At least, I'm not a loser who the world is behind." His hands itched against the ropes that held him together. They weren't too tight, if he wished, he could untie himself and run away. But, he wanted to spend some more time with the villain, something he shouldn't be doing on his mission. Inappropriate. Who could blame him though? The villain's tactics to gain his attention were too cute.

"Oh come on, darling. We both know you're jealous of me because I'm more famous than you." The villain said, with an almost childish smile on his face. The hero sighed.

"Hmm, what can I say? Of course, I'd be jealous of such a pretty face." The hero let on, grinning. The blush that crept on the villain's face, was worth everything. Widened eyes stared back at him in amusement. He wasn't normally the one to flirt, but today somehow felt different. A gained confidence, a crush to make blush. The villain smirked, after regaining his composure.

"You're not so bad yourself, Gorgeous." The villain said back, eyes gleaming with excitement. And, now it was time for the hero to blush as his body ran with adrenaline, warmness flooding through. His heart raced. He felt himself untying the ropes, and standing up. The villain raised his eyebrows, not moving. The hero walked towards the villain and handed him the rope.

"Try harder next time, sweetheart." The hero whispered in the villain's ear, who was standing there, stunned. And, before he could even react, the hero took off running. The villain cursed under his breath and ran after him.

Prompt #3

The hero slowly backed away, while the villain advanced towards him. His footsteps echoed a rhythm through the ground. He walked until he hit a solid wall behind him, the villain coming close—a dagger in his hands. His hands lifted, and he put the sharp object to the hero’s throat. Almost touching. Almost.

The hero swallowed, barely dodging the keen edge. The villain chuckled, low and dark. “So, any last words, before I let you meet your friends in the heavens?” He asked. The hero frowned.

“Today’s definitely not my last day on this earth,” The hero murmured, as he kicked the villain between his legs, and ran. He could not fight the villain, with his injuries alive and burning. He would lose, seriously.

He hid in a shady-looking valley that screamed danger, but at least he was out of sight of the villain.

Though, if only he knew, that the villain was watching him from one of the buildings nearby, a smug look accompanying his face.

Prompt #82

By @writingpromptsworld

The villain swore they could smell the hero's very prominent cologne in the dark office, and they had to resist the urge to not take every little thing away with them.

But no, they were on a mission. And they needed to focus, or else the supervillain would-

"You're the recruit, aren't you?" Someone spoke up, the voice was deep and smooth. They sounded amused.

The vilian froze, in the process of sniffing the hero's coat that hung on the chair behind their desk. They look up, alerted and took out their gun. The person walked closer, and their face glowed under the moonlight. The villain’s eyes widened when they saw who it was.

The hero grinned. "Relax. I'm in no mood to fight."

The villain’s heart beat wildly in their chest. They didn't lower the gun, scared and in awe at the same time. The hero was even more good-looking in person as if that was possible. They gulped, and when the hero didn't come closer, they lowered the gun slowly.

The hero's grin only broadened. "Care to tell me why you were sniffing around my coat?" The villain's face immediately went scarlet, their heart dropping in their stomach. '

"Uhh…" They started. "I was searching…for potential information about your- next mission?" They really hadn't meant for it to come out as a question, but it did anyway and they cursed under their breath.

"And what is this crucial information you would find in there?" The hero played along, cocking their head to the side.

The villain opened their mouth and closed it, not sure how to tell the hero they were…curious. Well, curious is putting it lightly, they were obsessed, really. "Good question." They said, a second later.

The hero looked more entertained by the minute. They took a few more steps that brought them right in front of the villain, meeting their eyes. The hero's eyes were gray, like the moon, and glowing with mirth.

The villain checked out the hero before they could stop themself, their mouth drying at the sight.

The hero chuckled, "You're terrible at keeping a blank face. A really bad quality for a vilian if I say so myself."

Okay. That's it. Everything they had read about the hero was wrong. The hero wasn't stoic and ruthless as listed in their 'bio', they were something worse: flirty and dangerously good-looking.

Prompt #7

The prince gulped, as he bent on his knees in front of the villain. "What do you want?" He whispered, tears pricking out of his eyes. His family lies dead around him.

The villain smirked, "You. I want you." The prince looked up, with his lifeless eyes.

"No. Never. Just kill me, I'd rather die." The prince breathed, his voice hoarse. His throat was sore. He ached with pain.

The villain's smirk faded. He raised one of his eyebrows. "Perhaps-", He began but stopped mid-sentence, frowning at the prince.

The prince swiftly stood up, glancing around like he was trying to find something. As a matter of fact, he was. His eyes landed on his father. His father lay silent, a sword thrust through his stomach.

He walked to the body, took out the sword, and without a second thought, stabbed it in his abdomen. The villain gaped.

Blood oozed out of the prince's figure, as he collapsed onto the ground, joining his family.

Prompt #55

“Tch, stop being a coward and fight me, villain!” The hero grunted, their hands bound by ropes behind their back. Their legs also covered with ropes that they struggled to get out of.

“Hmmmm.” The villain started, standing up and walking slowly to where the hero was splayed on the ground. “You shouldn’t speak like that to a person who has full control over your life right now. They could take it any time they wished.”

The hero scoffed, a dirty noise in the air. And, looked up with a glare. “What you gonna do? Kill me with your silly little knife or strangle me to death? Pathetic.”

The villain frowned, and then chuckled. Their expression settling back to a calm one. They bent down to hero’s level. “Well, well, well. Aren’t you being a brat? Do I need to teach you how to talk to me?”

The hero half snorted and half laughed. “Oh, you’re going to teach me manners? The great scary villain? Gods have blessed me.”

The villain sighed. “Hero, the reason you’re here-no, we are here is because of you. You had a plan to kill me. But upon entering my secret hide-out, you find yourself instantly boomed into a trap. How very sad.”

The hero stared at him, speechless, because apparently that was true. They did indeed fall into a trap like a fucking kid who didn't know any better. They should've known about it. Predicted it. But, the bubbling excitement. The thrillness of it all had made their brain go frenzy. Never thinking about the possible obstacles of it all. They stayed silent.

The villain smiled, a mischievous smile. "With that said, I wouldn't mind teaching you some manners. If you don't mind, of course." The hero blushed at the implications, immediately going red in the face.

It was going to be long before they actually got out of that place.

Snippet #13

“You know what would get me going?” The hero asked, smiling slightly. “Another fight with you.”

The villain raised their eyebrows. “You’re literally on a bed in a hospital because you didn’t dodge my attack even though I warned you.”

The hero cracked a grin, a little painfully so. “I wanted to let you win for once.”

The villain’s eyes narrowed, they scanned the hero up and down before chuckling lowly. “You know, for someone who’s breathing with the help of an oxygen tank, you sure do have guts to say that.”

“Try me.” The hero replied, smug and a little cocky.

The next time they fought, the villain made sure to show the hero just how much they wanted the hero to “not win.”

Asking for a lil enemies with benefits and lots of pining

This turned out better than I expected :)

Request #1

The hero put on his shirt, and then his pants. When he was done, he glanced up to see the villain leaning against the room's door frame. Already dressed. "Make sure no one knows about this. I can't afford to lose my job and my reputation." The hero said. The villain raised his eyebrows. His eyes were dull.

"Of course. You can't have anyone knowing you sleep with a cheap villain. Wouldn't look good on you." The villain murmured, his voice small. A bitter edge to it. His heart ached. It was easy to ignore it at first, but lately, it's been getting to him. The yearning for the hero, the need to protect him, the urge to tell the hero that he wanted more than whatever they had going on.

But, who was he to say those things? A mere toy for the hero to come to when he was desired. Nothing more. Nothing less. And, maybe that's the reason he wanted the hero to be his and no one else's. He couldn't turn a blind eye to the way the hero's touch lingered on an area of his body for too long. The way the hero would kiss him tenderly, after. It made him question things. Made him fall in love with the hero beyond what felt exceptional. Obsessively so, one might say.

The hero shrugged, "It's not about you or me. It's about the people. I can't go and tell the world, that I'm fucking the enemy. It would put both of us in a tight spot." He came forward, tugged the villain close to him, and kissed him. A kiss too close to something that held meaning. The villain knew otherwise. The hero pulled back and smiled a little. His face held something like sadness, but the villain could be wrong. "They don't want us to be together. Because they know we'd be too powerful." And, the villain felt a little relief. Perhaps, because of the way the hero said it so easily. Or perhaps, that was how the hero confessed.

Prompt #19

The hero wakes up one morning, and the first thing he does is call the villain, to tell him that he misses him. Except, the villain is not the one picking up the phone. Instead, the hero hears the voice of his partner. The hero’s partner. They’ve found the villain.

hello! i love ur writing so so so much! i was wondering if i could request a snippet where the villain discovers the hero's self harm scars? if not, that's ok too🥰❤️ have a lovely day :))

“Oh, darling.” The villain’s voice was much too soft.

The hero felt a sharp flicker of panic - they could have dealt with the villain mocking them - but they weren’t entirely sure they could stomach that tone. Not when they were so bare, so vulnerable, so utterly exposed.

The hero couldn’t even protest nor offer up any excuse or convincing lie; not with the gag in their mouth. This wasn’t supposed to go like this after all.

It started when the villain had spied the marks on the hero’s arms - tearing the sleeve of their suit so that they could inject some nefarious substance or other. The bit had been so the hero didn’t, apparently, bite through their own tongue.

The syringe had however been abandoned on the side the second the villain saw the hero’s skin. Despite the hero’s muffled protest, the villain had promptly cut open the other sleeve and, then, made short work of everything else.

The villain’s gaze roamed over them, taking it all in and the hero wanted to scream. The thought of anyone finding out had always been bad enough...but to have the villain of all people...and like this...

They jerked uselessly against the restraints, the flicker beginning to swell into full blown panic.

The villain ghosted their fingers across the marks, with that same terrible gentleness. The hero flinched, even if it didn’t hurt - maybe because it didn’t. They didn’t know. The hero’s muscles tightened taut with stress, with the urge to bolt and the complete inability to.

If they could run the villain would never even have seen this far.

The villain’s gaze moved up, catching the hero’s wide-eyed stare.

“I know what scars I’ve left on you, hero.” The word, ‘hero’, didn’t carry the mockery it normally did. “I know what kind of scars people get doing what we do. This...” their grip tightened, and their nails dug in. “This is not that.”

The hero’s fingers curled into fists, breath hitching. They did their utmost to keep their expression composed. Their mind raced; trying to figure out what the villain would do. Well, what could they do? They didn’t know what the villain even intended with this, now. What would they possibly care what the hero did in their free time? Yet, clearly, they cared. Otherwise they wouldn’t have set the syringe down they would have continued business as normal.

The villain reached up after a moment, taking the bit out and setting that aside too.

The hero wrenched their gaze away, working out their jaw. They could have spoken now but they said nothing. Anger churned with the panic. The villain had no right to expect an explanation from them, if that was what they were waiting for?

“Control, punishment or something else?”

The even question snapped the hero’s stare back, in surprise. The villain’s voice had gone even again, instead of that horrible ‘handle with care’ softness.

“What?” it came out raspy.

The villain tapped one of the scars. “Do you do it to feel in control of something, to punish yourself, or something else?”

“What’s it to you? You’ve literally got me tied to a chair.”

“Your enemies hurting you is very different to doing it to yourself. You cannot control your enemies, but nor would you expect them to be kind.”

“I swear if you of all people are going to start a lecture about being kind to myself.” The hero’s eyes burned, hot and embarrassed. They really hoped they didn’t start crying.

“If you answer my question I’ll stop pestering you about it.”

The hero looked down, considering their options, really not wanting to talk about it with them. Still. “It makes my head shut up. Happy?”

“Happy is an interesting word choice given the topic of conversation, but I accept your answer, yes.”

“So you’re going back to whatever is in your nightmare syringe?”

“It’s a serum to limit your powers.”

“Oh.”

“I did tell you.”

“Your monologues are very wordy and scientific. I get bored.”

The villain snorted. Still, they stayed crouching in front of the hero, studying them quietly.

“...you’re not going back to stabbing me with the nightmare syringe?”

“Do you want me to stab you with the nightmare syringe?”

“No. Obviously not.”

The villain did not look entirely convinced.

The hero gritted their teeth. “This is bothering you,” they said. “Knowing this about me. I’m not - I’m not suicidal, or anything. You can still get around to killing me yourself or - or whatever.” They faltered as the villain continued to stare at them. “What?”

“You make it a little too easy to forget you’re human, sometimes, hero.” The villain rose up to their feet. “Stay put.”

“Stay - you have me tied to a chair. Where are you going?!”

"I need to think,” the villain said. “And possibly punch something. And then, if you’re willing, I have some ideas on what might help.”

“You - what - hey!”

The hero sat there, bewildered, at the sound of the next room being thoroughly destroyed.

Nothing was quite the same after that.

Prompt #23

“If you knew what it was like to have your parents hate you the moment you were born, you would know how I feel.” The villain murmured against the hero’s lips, so close. The hero swallowed. They pulled back a little, putting space between them. The villain still held on to their shirt’s collar.

“I don’t know. I don’t know how you feel. What it’s like to be in your place. But, I can assure that I would never use it as an excuse to hurt other people.” The hero said. Their voice quivering at the edge. They tried to make distance between their bodies, but the villain just pulled them closer.

“Then, tell me. Tell me how it’s like to be a hero. To be someone every person loves, adores even. It must be easy.” The villain hissed. Their voice rough, and stern.

The hero snorted. “It is not as easy as you think.” Their hands moved, closing on the villain’s wrist. And, they slowly pulled it away from their collar with a firmness that made the villain falter. “Because, when you are expected to save the world, the only thing that matters is whether you can do your job or not.”

The villain laughed, a humorless sound. Their expression turned painful.
