Chapter 7

Immortal Dilemmas

*Stefan Salvatore*

“Well, first thing we need to do is-“, Stefan wanted to listen to what Klaus was saying but his thoughts were running wild. He just had an epiphany with the hybrid, he trusted Klaus enough to tell him about Hailey, and Klaus had just sworn on his FAMILY name that he would help Stefan. Family is everything to the Originals, the fact that Klaus was swearing on his name made it bluntly obvious that he truly does see Stefan as family. The only thing Klaus ever wanted was to not be alone, to for once not be left out for something he couldn’t control. He had to tell him about Elena, Klaus may react violently but he deserves to know that the answer to his dreams was still alive with human blood coursing through her veins. Klaus swore to protect Hailey, the girl that Stefan loved to the ends of earth and would gladly go through hell for, despite only being able to spend a night with her, he knew that she was his and he was hers. This is the least that he could do for Klaus. Good or bad reaction it’s going to end in one of his brothers, biological or not, throwing a hissy fit.

“-and we’ll likely need to find your mate to make sure she’s guarded but I don’t think normal vampires are going to cut-“, at the mention of needing something stronger than an average vampire Stefan gathered it was better to say it now.

“About that…Klaus there is something I need to tell you…”, he tried finding the proper wording but how can he put it gently that Elena’s real father had decided to exchange his life for hers and as consequence she is still alive and human, capable to be of use to Klaus?

“SHE’S WHAT?!??”, Klaus had said suddenly. Did he just say that out loud?

“Yes! Stefan, you did!”, he gulped as his throat had suddenly ran dry but he refused to look away from Klaus’s eyes. What felt like a thousand years to Stefan ,in reality was only thirty seconds, Klaus’s thunderous and gobsmacked expression quickly melted into a devilish grin. Stefan knew that look and it did not bode well. Klaus’s siblings feared it as it was a sign that he was going to cause chaos and embarrassment for whoever wronged him.

“Klaus I’m sorry, I really am but at the time-“, Stefan was caught off by Klaus’s delightful yet bone chilling laugh. Oh deities above, Stefan was in for it!

“Oh Stefan my sweet baby brother, I’m not angry, I’m just…disappointed”, Klaus said in a faux parental stern tone and trailed off with a sigh. Klaus had officially entered his brooding (pouting) mood, in which at every conversation he is going to have he is likely to rant. And in those rants he will reveal an embarrassing event that Stefan had done or an embarrassing fact about Stefan. Stefan winced, there was only one way to get Klaus out of that mood and it was to do whatever Klaus needed to be done but doesn’t want to do himself. He had to do whatever it is, he needed to uphold his reputation as the Original Hybrid right hand ripper. People aren’t going to take him seriously about him and Klaus being as close as family if whatever dirt Klaus has on him gets out. He’s a forever seventeen year old, he’s done a lot of stupid stuff…especially in the 20’s with Klaus’s influence.

“Klaus…please. You name it and I’ll get it done, just please!”, Stefan begged with his puppy eyes, Klaus figured the task he was going to assign Stefan shouldn’t be too terrible but it will definitely teach him a lesson to not withhold important information from family.

“Alright Stefan, I’ll forgive and forget as long…as your the one to tell my sister about recent developments as soon as she comes home!”, while Rebekah was infatuated with a human named Matt Donavan currently, she also has had a tendency to not let go of the past and be very jealous. Stefan who had recently gained his memories knew this and groaned. He knew it was going to be hard but hopefully after telling Rebekah, Klaus will have pity and restrain her until she can calm down…somewhat. He nodded solemnly and looked like a kicked puppy.

“Now while you figure out what to say, I’ll contact one of my witches and get you a new ring. Rebekah is likely to stay out until tomorrow and by then you’ll definitely need that ring.”,Klaus said with a chuckle. Stefan let out his own sarcastic laugh and quickly sped to Klaus’s liquor cabinet to pour himself something strong.

“Just think of Hailey.”, he muttered to himself. Hailey was the only thing he could think of that could possibly make him happy in this situation. No doubt as soon as he said it his thoughts were flooded with her emerald green eyes and her midnight black hair. Memories of their time together ,whether talking or being intimate, flashed across his mind. An instant goofy smile came to him. Off to the side Klaus had heard Stefan and witnessed his mood changed. He sighed with an exasperated grin, the strong bond between his brother and that girl was stronger than anything he has sensed. If something happens to her and Stefan senses it, then there would be a strong possibility of seeing a feral ripper. Absolutely nothing short of death would be able to stop the carnage until the origin of what caused Hailey pain was destroyed. Hopefully, he can help in keeping her safe enough that Stefan doesn’t loose his mind and that Stefan and her could remain happy together.

Chapter 19

Immortal Dilemmas

Once she saw her, her first thought was to get the harlot far away from her family and make sure she never sees the light of day again but then what fun would that be? Klaus had the right idea of punishing her, but to what extent? From what she could gather this Katherine was hoping and betting on the fact that they would want to keep her alive in order to carry out her punishment for her crimes against the family. But what would befitting punishment of the oh so great Katerina Petrova? Then it occurred to her, Katherine’s greatest fear was death. But what the vampire didn’t realize death would be a mercy compared to all the horrors that the magical world had to offer. So the real question was, what from her world is a befitting punishment for the woman that ran from her destiny then used her powers to take advantage of innocents. Innocents that included her husband.

Being a Mistress of Death meant she had certain leeway’s along with responsibilities. Responsibility wise, death had told her that everyone had a course and it was her job to ensure that those that dared to try and leave that course had to face consequences. Or in more understandable words, punish and end those that try and escape death. Those like Tom and the Originals mother, those are the type of people that she would get rid of. A leeway was that as the mistress of death she had control over death’s creatures, to a certain extent. Dormentors we’re at her beck and call, they were what death used as grim reapers for those who had died with many sins over their head. Then a fun tidbit she had not known was that phoenixes were also a creature of death. They were the creature to lead those that had lived a life well. Thestrals and Banshees were also among the creatures, they were for signaling that death was to come or had came. Then of course there were vampires. If she uses Death’s influence then she can force vampires into submission, they would feel as if they could not disobey a word she says when doing so. She however had no idea she could do anything with death’s creatures until the day Katerina had tried to cause Hailey the worst pain that any women could have experienced.

The Mikaelson’s had decided to have Katherine locked up in the basement. Their plan was to only give her one blood bag a week to make her too weak to access her healing. The magicals had no history with Katherine so they were asked to leave her punishment up to the vampires. Hailey had begrudgingly agreed as it was not up to her in how her husband decided what to do with the tart unless asked but she made plans just in case. Last she heard Klaus had compelled her to stick her head out of the single window in the basement when it was daylight without her ring. When he had ordered that just when she was about to die to stick her head back in. She had decided not to visit the mansion when a ‘session’ was in progress as she didn’t want the boys to hear. Stefan had not yet taken part of a session due to the fact that Damon is once again being a nuisance. He had heard from some townies about Elena acting even more unhinged at a scene that happened in the park but that day Damon was with Elena discussing over how much a menace the Potter family had become.

So he was frequently pestering his younger brother about it as he knew it involved Katherine. Stefan could tell from the unhinged look in Damon’s eyes that he was still obsessed with Katherine. It made Stefan scoff in Damon’s face when he was interrogated in the Mystic Grill. It caused his other brothers, who decided to grab a drink with him, to start chuckling which caused them all to start laughing. Damon was infuriated but couldn’t do anything so just left the grill in a huff.

Hailey decided to pay the mansion a visit, Kol had texted her saying he missed his magical nephews. She still hadn’t gotten around to telling her in-laws about her status and her boys destiny. She and Kol got along pretty well, he was constantly asking questions that she was happy to answer and she loved seeing his reactions whenever he was reading a course book from Hogwarts. “So I’m to understand that Caelan is less magical than Cedar?” Kol asked after seeing the boys have a small tantrum at having to wait to be fed, they only calmed down after Hailey was able to find their blood infused bottles.

“Oh, um kinda? The boy’s both have magic but Caelan is more in tune with his vampire nature than Cedar and Cedar in turn is more in tune with his wizard nature. The boys are the first of their kind so it’s difficult to predict how it might affect them. So far they are pretty much the same when it comes to their diet but everything else is a bit different.” Hailey can’t say she has given it much thought. The boys sometimes even switch things up, the other day Caelan had the hiccups that caused Stefan’s hair to change colors in sync with it. A few days ago Cedar was being fussy about being held by his uncle Elijah when he wanted his mom to hold him and ended up trying to nibble on his uncle’s shoulder to get him to pass him to his mother. She apologized profusely at seeing Elijah’s pained face and bleeding shoulder.

Kol was just playing with his nephew’s foot while his sister-in-law was thinking. If he was honest with himself he was a bit jealous of them, a vampire with their magic intact. He mourned the loss of his magic but seeing it was always enough. With wand wielders magic seemed more free and beautiful. Just as he smiled at the thought Cedar giggled causing the grey henley Kol was wearing to become a bright neon pink which caused the baby to giggle harder making his shirt like a flash mob of colors following the baby’s laughter. He was amazed once again by how different wiccans and wand wielders were. Once the baby boy had gotten bored of the flashing colors Kol was left in a royal purple with wretched yellow polka dots. He was going to ask Hailey to spell his shirt back to normal but she looked very preoccupied with praising the baby for his accidental magic. He decided to flash upstairs to change at a human pace to give Hailey some alone time with the boys.

Then all of a sudden there was a crash and in a flash a very feral Katherine had appeared in front of Hailey. Her mouth was drenched in blood which made her extremely worried ,had Katherine been starved of blood to the point that she attacked someone in the pack? Kol had flashed down immediately but it was too late. Katherine had flashed to push Hailey hard to the far wall leaving the babies bawling for their mother and hostages to Katherine Pierce. When Stefan had felt a searing pain in his chest when he was just sitting in the parlor with some of his brothers he knew something was wrong…something happened to Hailey.

Okay so I know I’ve only ever posted about Harry Potter and the Avengers with Spider-Man. But I kinda have something in my mind I think should be addressed. Whenever I look up a Harry Potter and Vampire Diaries crossover fanfic it usually pairs Harry off with Damon, Klaus, Elijah, or even Tyler. But because of this I am now in need to see a fanfic with Harry and Stefan together, I can’t find one that not a one-shot or complete. So I am debating about writing it myself even though I am a sh*tty writer. I’m debating on making Harry a girl or not.

I FOUND IT

A while ago I was looking for a specific fanfiction about a female Harry Potter and Cedric and someone had commented that they had wanted to read it as well. It’s a cute little story.

It’s called Returned from War (Victorious) by Ellroy. ( in the tags they mentioned that they did not want their work to be reposted anywhere so I can’t add a link I think).

Chapter 12

Immortal Dilemmas

Total silence had filled the Mystic Grill, everyone in town knew that there was tension between the Mikaelsons plus Stefan and the gang. They were waiting for the eventual explosion that usually happens when both groups are in the same area. The occupants of the Mystic Grill couldn’t help but wonder what role the new girl could play especially with her undoubted closeness with the younger Salvatore. What history do the unknown immortal teens share? Klaus would like to believe that in a… complicated situation he’d be able to react appropriately. However, when walking in the Mystic Grill with his sister to try and talk with Stefan about recent news on Hailey Potter, it was announced by the UK government that she had helped in stopping the stream of terrorist attacks and would receive some sort of medal, he could only stand their and gawk at the scene. There sitting with a girl practically on his lap was his little brother, both holding infants. In his gawking he could see Stefan’s mate bond connection with the girl, and finally put Stefan’s description to match. Pale porcelain like skin, emerald green eyes, and ebony curly hair.

He’ll be first to admit that his little brother really scored in receiving such a beautiful mate from the deities. She’s physically young but Klaus can tell from the haunted look in her eyes that she is wiser than her years let on. The good he can make out from the situation that Ms.Potter seems to have missed Stefan as well. The bad is that the residents of Mystic Fall’s is making her greatly uncomfortable and if not rectified soon he may have to restrain a Feral Ripper Stefan. The confusing bit is…the infants. Before he could observe more his sister decided to drag him towards the mates. Stefan noticed them making their way and had some tension bleed out but he was still on edge with the ‘scooby’ gang being so close to his mate and sons.

He could feel his blood starting to boil as the leering looks were still being thrown at his wife. Though that does bring questions to mind that Stefan will have to bring up with Hailey, how do they explain their relationship and their kids to the Mystic Falls’s population? He knows that he wants everyone to know that nothing short of permanent death could separate them and he doesn’t want the town to spread rumors of the boys having a deadbeat dad. Stefan has no shame in displaying that Hailey is taken and that the babies that they were holding are their own. But he has no idea if Hailey wants to do the same, he can’t just be thoughtless they’ll have to discuss it and whatever they decide he’ll have to accept it. A small noise from Cedar jolts him out of his brooding, he was done eating and it seems his brother is too. He follows Hailey’s example in putting the bottles back and placing a rag on his shoulder. They adjust the babies and started to try and burp them, it took Stefan a little while longer as he was still very wary but is learning that his boys are a lot tougher than regular babies.

With the feeding done the Mikaelson siblings had appeared at the table by the time that Hailey had the boys strapped to her again. With both of her hands free and in clear display, many had taken notice that there was a ring on her finger. A very familiar ring…and on her wedding finger! Elena gasped in shock, finally breaking out of her jealous glaring. She remembered how protective Stefan was of his ring, she had once tried to ask to wear it to get a closer look but was ultimately shot down. She presumed the rejection at the time to be due to her not knowing about his vampirism and asking in daylight, but he was still very guarded and protective of his ring after her finding out. Why did this stranger have the privilege to touch it, to wear it, to be so close to Stefan?!? Stefan had been ignoring her for the last 2 months and it just made her want to regain his attention and keep it on her. She does have feelings for Damon but she didn’t want to choose, she couldn’t bear to lose either of them. Stefan made a slight face of annoyance at hearing Elena gasp, goodness what now? In Elena’s delusion she doesn’t realize that she has lost Stefan a while ago.

Rebekah was often envious of humans, they had the chance to have what she could possibly never gain, to settle down. She has had centuries to come to terms with it but it never stopped her from wanting a mate, never stopped her from looking at pregnant women or recent mothers enviously. Seeing the scene that the immortal couple made her slightly bitter but then ultimately confused. She, along with the other Originals, can make out the bond. Stefan had gushed about his mate often enough that she learned about their…coupling. The infants though were a living impossibility…their scent proved ,to any well trained creature, that Stefan’s mate was their mother. She eyed them one was in a dark blue printed suit onesie, no doubt Elijah would have enjoyed, and the other was in a black printed suit onesie. Both the babies and the mother we’re wearing a peculiar family crest. Without thinking she made her way towards them dragging Nik with her. She and Nik nearly tripped once close enough to the table as Stefan gave them a beaming smile, completely unbothered or shocked at the infants belonging to his mate. Her and Nik look towards each other before deciding to pull up some chairs to sit with the young couple, which increased the mumbling and stares. Stefan thought it best to introduce.

“Klaus, Rebekah, I’d like you to meet Hailey Potter. Hailey this is my brother and sister in all but blood Klaus and Rebekah Mikaelson.”, he said bringing Hailey close to him again by wrapping an arm around her waist. She moved slightly to shake their hands and gave them a very warm smile. She offered her greetings and they responded but Rebekah had never been one for subtlety and patience.

“Hello and who are those two adorable bundles of joy with you Hailey?”, she asked. It was just killing the immortal with curiosity of just how the babies came to be, their mother’s first time was with a vampire, the time was very little to even consider that Stefan was possibly a father, but she smelled only of Hailey being intimate with him. All of this confused the hell out of her and she’s sure it confused Nik as well. Hailey bit her lip, she wasn’t sure how to introduce the boys and no doubt whatever she says here would spread like wildfire. But a small part of her mind made itself known, ‘Stake your claim! Announce to everyone that he is yours! YOUR husband, the father of YOUR children! Do it now, there are so many sending him lustful gazes, make it known that is all they could ever do!’. If she thought she was possessive of him when some desk clerk was sending him looks it doesn’t compare to seeing a whole herd of woman leering at him. She turned slightly to Stefan and saw the hopeful look and she hopes that he has the same train of thought as her. She took a deep breath and they both reached for each other’s hands in preparation of the incoming storm. She gave them a shy smile that ,much to Stefan’s chagrin and delight, caused many swoons.

“Well, these two are my sons. The one in the dark blue is Caelan Potter-Salvatore and in black is Cedar Potter-Salvatore.”, silence had reined as the whole grill was gawking. Everyone who pretended not to be listening intently had snapped their heads towards them. Other than the gang everyone had connected what she said. Stefan Salvatore, mystery of Mystic Falls, was a teen parent. Elena in particular had a look of fury on her face, how dare that girl make everyone confused on who her brats were sired by. But she was left gobsmacked when Stefan decided to add in something. She thought she would hear him clear up the confusion, that they were cousins or that the girl was some descendant of his, what he said filled her heart with anguish. Damon while instead of fury had a look of amusement but then it turned to a dark smirk as it brought opportunities.

“And before you say anything, yes I am their father. Me and Hailey had met last year when I was away for a couple of weeks in London. I…hadn’t thought of consequences and next thing we knew she was pregnant. You guys know that this was probably the only chance I was going to get to be a father and Hailey was in the same boat. The thing is where she’s from the higher ups wouldn’t allow her to keep a child that would be born into wedlock. They are a very traditional community. So while she was young they were more concerned about her not having a ring in her finger.”, he let the story and false information sink in. A century and a half had made him a pretty decent liar at least to humans. It may come back to bite him but they needed a human version of how they came to be married and with children. Klaus and Rebekah could hear his heartbeat so they know what parts were true and what wasn’t. So far all they knew was that the boys were definitely his, which itself was heads pinning. He hoped they were ready for the next little load of information.

“I only had known Hailey for a short time but me and her had become very good friends. I had no objection to marrying my best friend. We used my own ring as a wedding ring. The past year we’ve had to go through a bunch of paperwork. Our marriage is now seen by both our governments despite us being minors. We are both emancipated and the boys and Hailey are now registered citizens.”, it’s a botched story at best but it’s what he could come up with to ensure that no one questions them, at least for the meantime. Klaus and Rebekah both had looks of understanding but were still looking at the family in shock. The impossible was accomplished a vampire had procreated, it was a marvel nothing less than a miracle. Klaus couldn’t believe that his brother was married and would need a full story on that but children created from a vampire that was just a tale that needed it’s own book to explain. But he couldn’t help but grin at Stefan, his brother had a face of pure adoration. He looked over at the babies and just marveled at their existence, it made him chuckle in surprise but the smile never left. Rebekah couldn’t help but compare the boys to their parents. Caelan, if she recalled correctly, looked so much like Stefan. But she could see that he had his mother’s nose. Cedar looked more like his mom but that smile is uncannily Salvatore. She as well smiled and marveled at the newest Salvatore brothers.

Hailey noticed them smiling, she wouldn’t mind letting them hold the boys but with Stefan’s brother so close it felt better to have them close to her. She saw Rebekah had a look of yearning when looking at the boys and Klaus, while less intense, had it as well. Then she remembered, Klaus was apart of Stefan’s made family, the same Klaus that he said was the Original Hybrid?! And that would mean Rebekah is also an Original, it made her feel more secure around Damon then. Age plays a factor with a Vampires abilities, the older a vampire the more they are naturally strong the only case in which a younger vampire could overpower an elder is if they had trained hard and pushed their bodies to a degree that could not have been handled if they were human. She was now more at ease at her next action. “Would you like to hold them?”, both Originals look like kids that got caught with their hands in a cookie jar when they were caught staring. Stefan had a teasing grin on his face. Rebekah nodded enthusiastically but Klaus broke out of his stupor and was more hesitant and had a self-deprecating smile on.

“Uh…I’m not sure…babies have never really enjoyed my presence…and…what if I hurt him?”, Klaus had said the last bit in a broken voice that it had shocked his sister. But before she could comfort him, Stefan beat her to it by putting a hand on his shoulder.

“Klaus the boys inherited a certain trait from us that makes it so they aren’t the usual kind of babies you meet. Trust me, you’ll be fine and they’ll love you. I trust you, you won’t hurt my boys. Not to mention I kind of want to get a picture of the boys being held by their uncle if you don’t mind.”, Stefan said sheepishly but with determination. Klaus eyes did not water but he had to blink some dust away. Stefan trusted him enough to hold the little miracles and by deities he was not going to cry about it. He nodded shakily. Hailey took Cedar and gently laid him in Rebekah’s waiting arms. Rebekah absolutely melted over him and fell in love when he opened his eyes to show he inherited them from his daddy. Cedar looked at the strange lady that was not his mommy, she felt safe and felt similar to his daddy. Hailey took Caelan and took a bit of a while to show Klaus how to properly hold him. Klaus was stiff as stone not wanting to disturb the bundle but froze when Caelan opened his eyes. He melted a bit when Caelan let out a coo and moved slightly to go more into the heat source. Caelan took in the man, he felt…in a lack of better words hurt but he was safe, Caelan wanted to get closer to the man in hopes to make him feel a bit better and he was warm like his favorite blanky. Caroline was shocked to see a smile bloom onto Klaus’s face, he had adorable dimples. The Originals were completely enamored with the boys that they didn’t notice Stefan taking out his phone and snapping pictures while holding Hailey close to him and sharing adoring smiles. The occupants of the Grill, save a certain group, sighed happily at the sight. Damon had enough of the mushy atmosphere.

“Leave it to you Stefan to get caught up in a shotgun marriage. Don’t worry brother I’m sure you and her can make some kind of deal of being allowed to see others. After all there is no way that she could be satisfied with you.”, the bubble the group made popped with Damon’s voice. He had a condescending smirk when approaching the table. If Damon was honest he was jealous of the scene, why the hell was Stefan getting everything?! Why was Stefan introducing Klaus as an uncle?! And why the hell is he letting some human girl trap him with some other guy’s kids?! The vampires of the table growled lowly at Damon but it didn’t deter him. Klaus and Rebekah held the boys closer to themselves and away from Damon. Stefan brought Hailey closer to him, they were all hoping this could have waited but leave it to Damon to have terrible timing. Hailey was gripping Stefan’s hand in hopes of sending the message of her being uncomfortable with his brother being closer to them.

“Just what are you trying to imply Damon and tread lightly of how you speak about my wife.”, Stefan had a very dark glare aimed to his brother. One remark about Hailey and Damon would be living without his eyes and tongue if Stefan had his way. Damon raised a eyebrow, Stefan was seriously committing. When Damon stepped closer to leer down at Hailey Stefan stood up ready to tear his brother’s head off witnesses be damned but calmed somewhat when Hailey stood up to hold onto his arm. She did not want the fist call she made to the ministry to be that her husband had gotten rightfully angry and exposed the supernatural to muggles.

“I’m just saying that eventually it’s going to end up being a loveless marriage and it’s better now to make a agreement about how to remain…satisfied. How about me new girl? Trust me, I could satisfy whatever Stefan neglected when those babies were made.”, Damon refuses to let Stefan have this charade play on. And if Stefan really cared for this girl and her brats might as well place doubts here and there that would make it fall apart. But what Damon didn’t expect was for his brother to snap and tackle him to the ground. Hailey stood shocked before she turned to the Originals in a panic. Klaus hurriedly handed her Caelan and went to go and separate the brothers. To humans it looked like an average brutal fight but if it escalated then they would notice large indents being made in human bodies that could not be explained.

Stefan had completely lost it when his brother offered himself to Hailey. His vampire was insulted and angry at Damon’s insinuating at him not pleasing his mate. But he was still in control and was fighting Damon in a way that appeared humanly but actually had the force that would have left a normal guy with his stomach across the room. Damon was shocked but focused back on the fight, he was trying to punch his brother anywhere he could but Stefan had the upper hand with more training and not relying solely on his super strength. It looked to the crowd that Stefan was just repeatedly punching Damon in the face while Damon was unsuccessful to punch him back. Elena had decided to intervene thinking that they were fighting over her and was yelling at Stefan to get off Damon. Stefan of course ignored her and kept going. Klaus had managed to come and pull Stefan away. Rebekah handed Hailey, Cedar when she noticed Damon getting up and trying to finish what he started and went to go and hold him back. But both were trying to get to the other in hopes of taking his brother down. The boys were feeling a lot of negative vibes and started crying.

That spurred their mother, to do something. She understands that Stefan’s vampire wouldn’t let Damon’s remark go unpunished but the boys were taking a toll off the negative energy. And she’ll be damned before she lets her mates brother continue to make her babies cry. “Stefan please!”, at the sound of her voice he stopped and looked to her, he looked down at the boys to see them crying. He stood straight and looked at his feet in shame, how could he let his family see him like this? He didn’t hear Hailey walking towards him so was shocked when he he saw her feet near his. He looked up expecting to see her face of disappointment but was relieved to see her looking at him in understanding and with a little concern. The boys calmed down when close to their father and sensed he was okay. She brushed a tender spot on his cheek, Damon got one good hit in.

“Are you okay?”, she asked with her hand still on his face. He looked to her then to their boys who were strapped back on to her, cuddled up to her chest. He placed his hand on top of hers that was still on his face and placed a lingering kiss to her lips. When he pulled back she was flushed but had a smile on. He looked over her shoulder to see Klaus and Rebekah handing a very bloody and bruised faced Damon to the gang. He was placated now, his family was in his arms and his brother now had an understanding that he was not to be trifled with when concerning his mate. He ignored Elena’s pleading looks to meet eyes and her disappointed gaze. He looked straight back into Hailey’s loving one and put a hand on the boy’s backs.

“I am now.”, he answered with a terse smile.

“Alright everyone out!”, said a exasperated Matt and Jeremy. The other occupants of the grill scurried out taking out their phones to text and call anyone they know about the newest gossip in Mystic Falls. A fight between the Salvatore’s over a girl that wasn’t Elena Gilbert, the new status of the younger Salvatore, and everything they learned about the new girl, Hailey Potter.

With the other occupants out there was only two groups left. The Scooby gang and Team Stefan. Elena was going to march up to Stefan and that girl to break whatever moment they were having. What the hell are they planning they already had Elena!? She was stopped when Klaus and Rebekah stepped in front of her, both had very dark looks.

“Listen here dopplebitch, control your pet! Deal with my brother or not if he tries going after Hailey I’ll tear him to shreds and feed whatever pieces left to the puppies of Nik’s pack! You touch her and Stefan will personally deal with you!”, Rebekah said in a thunderous voice. It was a miracle that they didn’t have to contain a feral ripper, if Damon had touched Hailey after what he said Stefan would have done a lot worse in a open crowd. Elena looked to Klaus expecting to see him glower at Rebekah for threatening her but was shocked to see him silently nodding along.

“You have no idea who she is, Ms.Gilbert. You have no idea what she means to us, to Stefan. You lot leave her and her family alone. Deal or not if your friends can’t respect this rule I will tear each of you apart and paint this town red with your blood. As for you Ms.Gilbert all I need is for your heart to beat and produce blood in no way does that save you from this. I could just simply have you in a coma and bleed you dry. Stay away from Ms. Potter and you get to live you life, simple as that.”, he finished off his threat by flashing his eyes towards the group the huddled together. Elena’s eyes got teary and Damon had a face full of rage. Both look to Stefan but he was facing away from them. Their first date could have gone better but they could head back to Klaus’s mansion to get Hailey some food. He picked her up gently with the boys and sped out of the grill. The Original siblings send one final glare before speeding out leaving the group in silence to think out everything. Caroline had never seen Klaus like this, it caused her undead heart to skip a beat. Jeremy and Matt were wondering what mess would Elena and Damon pull them into again. Bonnie was left in silence thinking of the strange feeling coming off of the new residents of Mystic Falls. Alaric was exasperated and dreading the drama this would bring. Damon and Elena stood near each other both brimming with jealousy and rage. At Klaus’s mansion everyone was in smiles when Hailey’s phone rang. She answered and had to pull the phone from her ear.

“HAILEY JAMIE POTTER WHERE IN THE WORLD ARE YOU!!”, seems her werewolf uncle has been worried.

Chapter 15

Immortal Dilemmas

The Mikaelson’s never claimed to be kind and merciful vampires, on many occasions they have claimed to be the exact opposite. But what no one can deny is their loyalty and devotion to those they claim as family. They have their differences and feuds, but no one could deny the bonds in the family. With Stefan being accepted in to the family along with his wife and sons, that loyalty and devotion is extended to them and returned. Damon, however, had failed in seeing that. He thought at worst his brother would try to hurt him but ultimately forgive him later as always and for Klaus to show fake sympathy. He never expected for him to end up in the dark and damp dungeons under the mansion. He’s lost track of how long he’s been there.

Klaus, as agreed, has had no hand in Damon’s punishment and torture but Stefan and Rebekah had been very hands on. Rebekah had started by removing vital organs other than his heart and head from his body and making him crawl across the room to retrieve them. He was given barely enough blood to access his healing, what would have taken an hour to heal took him a day. That was the first week of his stay. Then his dear little brother came down, that ungrateful bratty brother of his had decided a very painful tactic. He was pinned to the wall by bear traps and still had open wounds from ‘Sexy Bex’ when his brother had decided that he was filthy. So slowly Stefan, with rubber gloves on to prevent himself from being harmed, cleaned the wounds and blood from his brother with water laced with vervain.

Ron and Hermione were enraged for their sister and nephews/godsons. It was decided that they would be the ones to teach Damon on their family’s behalf. They hadn’t used the Unforgivable Curses but had used some…not so kind spells after finding them in the Black family books. After the war they had adapted a grey morality, none of the trio had came out of it without blood on their hands. Ron had learned that it didn’t take a complicated spell in order to cause harm, especially to cause harm to a vampire. Ron had ignored the snarling from the bear trapped Damon and stabbed his wand through his forearm that caused Damon to grunt in pain. He then chanted, “Lumos Solem.”, and barely flinched when Damon started screaming his lungs out. The spell caused sunlight to be released out of the wand in a flash. It was enough to burn a medium sized hole and Ron proceeded to do so to each of Damon’s limbs. When finished Damon’s throat was hoarse and had tears running freely , “That was for making my godsons cry and hurting their poor throats. I thought best to just repay the favor.”, he ended with a smirk.

He would let Damon sit in a puddle of his own blood before leaving and healing him the next day, no blood required so no need to feed. Damon would beg for some but it fell to deaf ears. That was the routine for about three days before Hermione decided to be the final punisher for the remainder of Damon’s sentence. Damon kept obnoxiously flirting with her yet demeaning her at the same time. She learned a spell that had been used by death eaters quite frequently. Vampires enjoyed taking blood so much, how would one feel if theirs was practically drained out? “Sanguis Coquite.”, Damon had gone red and thrashed around as he felt the blood in his veins start to sizzle. It only stopped when he was on the brink of passing out, “I believe this would suffice in teaching you to never try and drain my sister. You try again and I’ll see to it that the last thing you feel is your blood evaporating from your body.”, she said as she snarled and violently gripped Damon’s face with her hand.

Klaus had decided to release him after three weeks. Three weeks of being tortured by vampires, a wizard, and a witch. I’m the whole time that Mystic Falls had known Damon Salvatore, it had never seen him so quiet after he had reappeared. The gang was worried about him just plopping down own the couch with an entire case of bourbon after he got out. He snapped at anyone that questioned what they did to him. He didn’t want them to know that in desperation he had begged…and cried. It took a week before he was back to his normal self but still flinched at the sight of the Potters.

During his confinement Elena had not been successful in getting help and on her own she couldn’t accomplish much. She threatened breaking the deal with Klaus but he coolly responded, “If that is what you so desire Miss Gilbert but be aware that breaking the deal will lead to me personally having access to do as I please to gain your blood.” She went white at the veiled threat. She thought briefly on how her loved ones could be affected and threw it away and thought on what matters the most to her. Herself, every doppelgänger has shown that all they care for is self preservation and getting what they want. She is no different and in a way similar to Katherine by setting a mask to hide her true self. Klaus had told her before that he could just put her in a coma and use her, she wasn’t about to risk that.

No one from the gang was willing to risk hybrid fury by trying to break into the mansion. After Elena described the abilities of the new residents while intrigued Bonnie still refused. Elena blamed Caroline for this. Ever since Caroline’s little rant everyone had stopped catering to her. She openly held a glare towards the Potter family and as such had started gossip in the small town. If anything it made Elena even more upset because it was giving more attention to Potter and her brats. But that was all she was allowed to do but if she so much as tried to purposely cough in their direction she would pay for it. It was needless to say the gang was restless. The humans of the group were done dealing with Elena shaped problems and dying then coming back to life with weird side effects.

Caroline was a traitor in Elena’s eyes, she had left when she was really needed. Caroline was tentatively talking more to Klaus and made it known to Stefan that she was trying to cut Elena out of her life. Stefan was happy for her. Klaus was ecstatic to get closer to the baby vamp. Everyone was hesitant but they gave Caroline the benefit of doubt. She and Tyler became close friends again but they wouldn’t pursue a relationship. She got to know the Potters a bit more and couldn’t believe Elena was spewing acid about such nice people.

In the meanwhile during Damon’s punishment the new residents of Mystic Falls have finally made themselves at home. Their house was feeling closer to home. The boys were growing beautifully and developing at a accelerated (to these parents any sign of the boys growing would be too fast) rate. Stefan and Hailey have had so much fun with their boys simply with tummy time and shaking rattles to see their adorable expressions. The only down part was when he went to the boarding house to pick the last few things he had gotten another earful from Elena. That day it was finally headed towards the cooler months. School would start in less than a month. She was still on the ropes about joining Ron and Hermione in muggle school. She wanted to be with Stefan but she didn’t want to leave Cedar and Caelan at home.

Stefan said whatever decision she would come to he would follow. If she wanted to go, he’ll be there walking her to classes and driving her home. If she wanted to stay home he would drop out and stay home with her to help with the boys. They would discuss it at length later. Hailey was wearing a black long sleeve, red plaid skirt (which if walked in a certain way drove Stefan insane), sheer leggings, and her combat boots. Stefan was wearing his dark grey leather jacket, a white shirt, black jeans, and combat boots. Cedar was in a black onesie with sleeves that had a magicians wand on it and he had red gloves and baby booties on. Caelan was in a red onesie that read ‘I BITE’ on it, it had sleeves and he had black gloves and baby booties on.

Hailey came with him as she trusted Elena as far as she could throw her with a pinky finger. He asked her to stay in the car with the boys but she got a feeling something was wrong and was proven right when she heard Stefan snarl. What is wrong with that girl?!

Why Elena was there he wouldn’t know, until he went into his room and was assaulted with the smell of her invading his once personal space. “Elena what the hell where you doing in my room?!”, he went to his closet and drawers and found that the majority of the clothes he had left were practically drenched in Elena’s overly candy sweet scent. She opened her mouth to answer but Stefan had spoke again,”Why the hell were you wearing my clothes!?” At this point she was in tears as Stefan looked at her is disbelief. Why couldn’t Stefan see that they were supposed to be together, with her not some witch?!?

“I missed you! Okay, Stefan I just missed you, Damons been here but then you took him away. And it doesn’t help that my heart always went back to-“ she was interrupted when Stefan had snarled at her. She tried to step closer and put her hand on his face but he sped away from her to the other side of the room. How dare she!?

“Elena! Get this through your head okay?! I don’t love you! I’m married! I have children! I love Hailey Potter-Salvatore! Give Damon your heart for all I care just leave me out of it! We’re done Elena we’ve been done for over a year!”, Hailey had came in with boys in her arms to see what was happening. Seeing her husband in a defensive position on the other side of the room was enough to tell her that once again Miss Gilbert was creating a problem. Hailey caught her husbands attention and he sped towards her and wrapped his arms around his family. He took comfort at the boys calm breathing and Hailey’s scent. She wordlessly handed him the boys after he calmed down enough. She turned to the doppelgänger and wasn’t surprised to see her fuming like a child that was told she wasn’t allowed to play with her old favorite toy.

“Now, Gilbert, I do believe I have warned you about staying away from my husband-“, she was interrupted when Elena stomped her foot. Like an actual child.

“Stefan should be with me! You trapped him. You-you- You Freak!”, and just like that it seems as if Hailey had shrunk in on herself and flinched away. Stefan had growled and passed the children back to her. Hailey looked up confused until Stefan had sped to Elena and had a hand around her throat. Elena was trying to push his hand off to no avail.

“I will not condone anyone badmouthing MY MATE AND WIFE! Especially you! If you ever do so again I will remove your heart and shove it down Damon’s throat! Do I make myself clear?”, he said calmly as if he was just asking her if she could pass a beverage. She nodded and she dropped to the floor trying to regain her breath. “Let’s go, hon.”, he directed a smile and got one in return. “There’s nothing here worth taking home anymore.”, he put his hand on the small of her back and headed with her back to the car. The car was silent with the occasional coo from the boys that made the parents smile as Stefan had his hand on Hailey’s thigh and she put her own on top of his. Stefan’s protective display had stirred something in her. He followed her up to the nursery and trailed after her like a puppy she proceeded to put the boys down for their evening nap. She took his hand and led him back to their room.

Their room had a dark red wall pattern and all the furniture was dark red oak. Their bed was a king canopy bed. He hadn’t understood the smirk his brother and sister in law had send his wife. Hailey later explained that it was similar to how her dorm room was like at her school. The house was practically filled with red and golden aesthetic, apparently their house colors.

He had a confused smile on his face and was pleasantly surprised when Hailey started kissing him passionately. He got his bearings and gripped her hips and deepened the kiss. When they broke apart they were both breathless and smiling. She nuzzled his neck and he leaned himself more towards her. He could feel her smile into his neck. “Thank you. With how everything was I never was protected like that. I was always supposed to be the one protecting. Don’t get me wrong, my siblings would be there but there were times when they couldn’t and it got to me.”, Hailey had said into his neck and he could feel the heat building on her cheeks. His heart broke for her and he made a silent vow to always protect her from even the smallest things. He cupped her face and made sure they were looking eye to eye.

“I will do everything I can to make sure that we are protected and safe. I-I love you, so much. So much more than I thought I was capable of feeling. The thought of you in any pain emotionally, mentally, or physically it just makes me want to bundle you up and get rid of whatever made you like that. You and the boys, you make my existence and immortality feel like a good thing.”, with Elena it was expected of him to protect her but with Hailey she didn’t expect anything from him, other than to keep looking at her the way he does now. It wasn’t one sided and it wasn’t him just giving and giving, it was mutual adoration. He protects and loves her and she doesn’t hesitate to return it. Elena had constantly talked of not becoming a vampire and not being able to handle immortality. But Hailey showed a light at the end of the tunnel, her and their boys were worth living through everything and anything. The resumed kissing, Stefan had picked her up from the back of her thighs and she placed her arms around his neck.

*START SMUT SCENE*

They were both getting lost in the kiss but Stefan was craving the taste of his mate. He nipped at her bottom lip and used her gasping to slip his tongue in. The kiss felt different it felt…hungry. Neither had been able to truly feel each other for four months, they were desperate for each other. But Stefan was still hesitant, was it safe for Hailey to do the…extraneous act? He broke the kiss and nearly done himself in when Hailey whimpered and started to mark his neck. He bit back a moan and panted out, “Sweetheart *groan* is it…okay for us to keep going?”, while asking Hailey had decided to teasingly trail her hand down but stopped just before her hand would land were Stefan was yearning for her touch.

She looked up coyly and started stripping in front of Stefan. Showing confidence that wasn’t there when they were first intimate and it made Stefan’s mouth water. She was flushed but had a teasing smile on. In front of Stefan, Hailey had black set on. Her wonderful breast were incased in satin cups and her maidenhead was teasingly hidden under a black cloth of lace. The black made her skin look as if it was made of porcelain. Her scars and toned body just as before made her look like a war goddess. How he yearned to mark that beautiful body to show everyone that she was his and he was hers. She did a come hither motion and that was enough to convince him that she wanted him and she wanted him now. To repay her he also started to strip.

Stefan’s body was so much more defined than she had realized. If she hadn’t thought he was a marble statue before she did now. His abs were tantalizing and all she could think of was marking his tan skin. To show everyone who dared listed after Stefan that they could look all they want but they would NEVER be allowed to touch let alone taste. Once Stefan was in his boxers her control had snapped, she surprised Stefan by pushing him to sit on the edge of the bed and nearly bugged his eyes out when she dropped to her knees. His goddess was kneeling before him…she will be the death of him.

She swiftly pulled his underwear off and put as much as his herculean in her mouth as she could. Whatever she couldn’t fit she stroked with her hand. She rolled her tongue, licked, and sucked at the tip. She looked up to see Stefan expressions to see if she was doing a fair job. His head was thrown back and he was using a hand to hide his noises, that wouldn’t do. She slurped as she raised her head up and down. Stefan couldn’t handle it and his groans, moans, and whimpers were filling Hailey’s ears. And just as he was about to come she pulled her mouth off. He was a panting mess and looked at her as if she was a gift from the heavens. He wanted to repay the favor, so he tugged her up to him and pushed her down onto the bed.

She looked surprised at the sudden switched positions. Without much thought Stefan dove in to enjoy the taste of Hailey’s most intimate part. She gasped, moaned, whimpered, and squirmed at the sensation of Stefan’s tongue. What made her nearly undone was when he started to flick and suck on the little bud on her flower. She put a hand in his hair and forced him up to give him a filthy kiss filled with possessiveness, lust, and love. She was straddling him with their chest pushed together and their panting nearly in sync. She grabbed his hard on and lined it to her opening. With meeting his eyes she slammed herself down. It hurt a bit but the pain was nothing compared to the pleasure of having Stefan inside her again.

As if something unlocked at seeing her pleasure herself by using his body he started fucking up into Hailey in an almost bruising force. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders to keep her balance as Stefan took control. Soon enough she was on her back again with her ankles being held by Stefan. At this angle he went so much deeper and unlocked new sensations. He was sucking marks onto her neck and chest. She tugged him down to return the favor. Soon enough it was becoming too much and then Stefan reached down. He started furiously rubbing at her clit and it pushed her to climax. The tightening of her walls and her ankles pushing him further into her finally made Stefan release into her. They stayed together there panting until Stefan slipped out causing Hailey to whimper at the sensitivity.

He fond a towel and started cleaning both of them up. He put some boxers on and grabbed his shirt for Hailey to put on. Once situated he laid on his back in bed and she made herself comfortable on his chest. They shared one last kiss before they fell asleep.

As the young couple laid to sleep they had no prior indication that tomorrow would bring chaos. As Klaus and Rebekah were sure that the Potters were now situated in home they could finally awaken their brothers. There wasn’t anything left other than to tell the pack that it would be safer for them to leave the mansion. Klaus walked up to Tyler, his first hybrid, as he directed others to put the coffins into the ballroom. “Tyler, everyone! I need your attention. In these coffins are the rest of my family. The thing is my brothers are about as temperamental as me. As soon as you can I need all of you to leave. I will not risk your lives and my brothers would hurt any of you just to anger me. So please until I know for sure that my brothers won’t kill any members of the pack I need you lot to stay away. Understood?”, the pack was quiet none of them were comfortable with leaving their alpha to endure the rage of his family especially after him telling them that he wouldn’t risk their lives. But it was an order from the alpha and they can’t disobey.

“Where should we go? I don’t think there’s a place that could house all of us. I would suggest my house but my mother is too noisy for her own good.”, Tyler contemplating out loud when the pack made their way outside. There was thirty of them now. A light went off above Tyler’s head and he got out his phone and dialed her number. The pack was looking at him curiously and then they heard her voice.

“Hello? Tyler?”, the English accent along with her voice being a melody made it clear that it was Hailey Potter-Salvatore. She sounded tired. Did she just wake up from a nap it was only four in the evening. Tyler explained the situation and asked if the had room for some of the pack. His plan was to take some to his home and say they were friends from school that wanted to stay overnight for a project. Send some to the Potter Mansion and use the money Klaus gave them to send the remaining few to a hotel. “Oh of course! We have plenty of room for everyone just make your way and I’ll meet you in a few. She hung up and Tyler was a bit shocked that Hailey was willing to house thirty hybrids. But not wanting to look the horse in the mouth they made their way.

Back in the Mikaelson Mansion Rebekah and Klaus were setting things up. While Rebekah got the modern clothing for her brothers along with some hair appliances, Klaus had dragged in a couple of coolers with blood bags. Who knew how thirsty Finn would be? Sage was finally there and making sure to avoid Damon. She was so happy to hear that Finn was alive and that they would be together again. Klaus had borrowed a magical book from Hermione and a toy wand from Ron for Kol. When everything looked in place they each made their way to a brother. Rebekah with Kol, Sage with Finn, and Klaus with Elijah. They looked to each other and at the same time pulled the dagger out. Klaus got the box out and placed the daggers in. They went to the opposite wall and slid down it , waiting for signs of awakening.

Three gasps filled the room, taking in air for the first time in centuries. Or months for Elijah. The three rose from their sitting places to look at the vampires in the coffins. Klaus smirked.

“Welcome back, brothers.”

I should also make this clear that I got some inspiration from a fanfic that is called Helena Potter. But this is still a fanfic idea that I am hoping that could be brought to life or at least written out.

Fanfic Idea

Watching the Harry Potter Movies but Harry goes by Harriet because he will be a girl in this also Cedric will be alive and dating her since 3rd year but then they had a fight and broke up during the Goblet of Fire. But got back together after she had saved him from being killed by Wormtail. While Harriet is jealous that he had taken Cho Chang to the Yule Ball Cedric is even more jealous when he finds out that she was asked out by Viktor Krum. Viktor had seen Harriet crying over Cedric asking Cho out and he wanted Cedric to get a taste of his own medicine and he saw Harriet as a little sister. So during the entire ball instead of paying attention to Cho and dancing with her, he kept glaring at Viktor every time he danced and was talking to Harriet which was basically through the whole night. Cho had started to get jealous of Harriet because even though Cedric and Harriet broke up Cedric still loved her and Cho hated that Harriet had basically every guy’s attention tonight as she was even more gorgeous then ever before. Cedric was steaming as he started to notice that nearly every guy was slobbering over his Harriet. Everyone will be there to watch the movies and finally see how Harriet actually lives. Cedric during the whole thing will be very possessive and protective of his little lioness. Draco, who had been basically pining after Harriet since first year did the same as Cedric but ignored Pansy the whole time. We would also see a very overprotective Sirius and Weasley Family. As Ron would see how bummed out Harriet is over Cedric that he realized that she would never enter this on purpose. So in turn we would have Ron and the rest of the Weasley’s plus Hermione, Sirius, and Remus being very overprotective. And have one Cedric slowly realizing that he made a mistake and would do anything to get his little lioness to forgive him and give him a second chance. While Draco and Cho would be sitting in jealous watching the couple. Cedric will be apart of story since the very beginning and instead of the Golden Trio they will be the Hogwarts Four.

Also a thing I love that authors do is name actors who they envision playing the role in their fanfics and since I can never properly see a female Harry I ask that you provide an actress that you envision as Harriet. Though if you can’t I understand.

Chapter 8

Immortal Dilemmas

*Hailey Potter*

While still bright red from the twins questioning, she thought of their questions and how to answer them.

“Stefan is a lot like me is some aspects. While he isn’t famous, he’s got a lot of weight on his shoulders. I’m not going to tell you guys his story without his permission-“, that led whining and pouting faces from the twins that faded away when the trio gave them a stern look. Over the course of the war the trio had earned quite a reputation. Everything they had done while in their school years had come to light. Say what you will but anyone who could fend off Voldemort and still pass their exams is considered the wrong type to piss off. The twins shifted their attention back to Hailey.

“Anyway, we just clicked and with him it felt nice to be protected instead of being the protector. Not to mention he is unfairly attractive but then again most vampires are.”, she started thinking back fondly about Stefan and his adorable grin. Though she turned scarlet once the twins noticed that she left out answering their other question.

“And your neck? Don’t tell me he fed off of you!”, said George in a joking matter but soon turned murderous once thinking more deeply about it.

“No! It’s just…Stefan has proven to be a vampire and…you guys know that vampires have a tendency to be…a bit…possessive.”, she started to trail off at the end once she noticed the male members of her family had gained dark looks while the females look half worried for her and half joyful for her. Ron was quick to step in once he noticed that she was starting to shift anxiously and nervously.

“Listen okay no one should be making a face at his nature it’s just something that comes with the vampire package now me and the girls are going to Hogwarts to look up some more information about the baby-“, he was cut off by Percy.

“I can be of some assistance in that. I know about every book in the library. You want to look in the dark magical creature section and in the last row of the bookshelf should be filled about half-lings.”, Percy had turned over a new leaf and had become apart of the order while the trio was on the run. He was the Orders eyes and ears at the ministry. He gave the trio a small smile which they returned.

“I recommend going now though. No doubt that Madame Pince will be trying to go and organize it after the chaos ends.”, he added, Charlie and Bill agreed having a nostalgic look on their face.

“Run along now dearies, we’ll take care of anyone that comes looking for you lot. Oh and Hailey dear, once you get to the point of about four months in your pregnancy it is highly important to remember that afterwards portkeys and apparating can lead to a dangerous situation for you and the baby. I remember when I had to travel by muggle means for so long when I got pregnant.”, Molly said in a affectionate motherly tone towards the trio. But the last part worried Hailey. If she was in a bind and too far in her pregnancy she would need to have some defenses for her and the baby. It good information but scary to know. The trio went outside and Hermione took off her cotton glove and turned it into a portkey to Hogwarts. The familiar feeling of a hook in her navel had appeared and she was soon floating to land near Hagrid’s hut and landed on her feet gently…while Ron and Hermione slammed on the ground. Before acquiring the title she would have landed just like them, good to know there were some perks with it. Great, they’re going to be sore for a while.

“That new and unfair.”, Ron said in a groan when he witness her soft landing.

“It’s expected. Now come on before anyone notices we’re here!”, Hermione ended in a rushed whisper. They made their way inside without much hassle. They almost got caught if they hadn’t mouthed to the painting to stay quiet as the painting had wanted to cheer when seeing them. The library was still standing other than a few discarded books on the floor. They made their way into the dark magical creature section and followed alphabetically to the V’s and there it was. There were about four rows of books that were about vampires and the last row was entirely about half vampire spawns. Looking through the row there was only about 5 one-inch thick books about human-vampire crossbreeds. Ron and Hailey each got one book and Hermione got the rest. By the time they finish theirs she would already be done with all of hers. Hailey had opened hers and had absentmindedly started laying her right hand on her stomach. Ron and Hermione had noticed and shared a smile and started on their own.

“Let’s start reading Hermione. We’re gonna need everything we can get to be a good uncle and aunt!”, Ron said with a sunny smile that caused Hermione to flush and smile at him and Hailey to beam. Hopefully it will be enough for the new addition to the Potter line.

About an hour past and the information they obtained while vague and not much was still tremendously useful. Hailey’s pregnancy gestation period would be at most three months. Hermione deduced that a month in she would look as if she’s three months, two months would make her look like she’s six months, and three months would make her look like she’s about to pop.Her cravings would include blood and rare meat along with whatever human cravings she could have. Along with that the pregnancy would take a heavy toll on Hailey’s body. They figured it was because the baby was going to be stronger, and the kicks while joyous will be painful. They would need to keep a close watch on Hailey as while their was a way to check on the baby in a muggle way it would be too risky for her to do so and their wasn’t a way to see it in the magical way. The only spells that Hailey could do is cast a Sonorus spell on herself to hear the baby’s heartbeat.

Seeing as they had at most three months to prepare for the baby they hurried to put the books back and head back to the Burrow. Hailey was happy as she was starving and hoped she could convince Ms.Weasley to cook up a nice rare steak. She froze as she just processed he thought and put her hands on her belly and looked down with a soft expression of awe. Ron and Hermione noticed her stopping.

“What’s wrong? Does something not feel right Hails?”, Hermione asked fretting while Ron looked at her worriedly. They soon calms down as they noticed Hailey’s expression.

“I’m fine, great in fact! It seems the little one is already making an influence on me.”, she said still looking at her tummy fondly. With everything said and done they headed back to base.

Chapter 14

Immortal Dilemmas

Klaus was just overwhelmed, he has lived for over a thousand years and now there is apparently an entire society of magic that he had no clue about existed? He could see he wasn’t the only one that was but he noticed in his befuddled state that his little brother was one of the few that was calm…oh he was so going to get it!…once Klaus relearned how to stop hyperventilating. Rebekah was fairing better but was still fairly astonished, she had thought there was nothing that could surprise her anymore than a day of knowing Hailey Potter and the impossible seems to happen every few hours!

Stefan was trying to avoid making eye contact with Klaus…he knew he was in for it. Though he knew he should also address a few things to the room explanations were needed…for him not to have to beat a few hybrids to a pulp for making eyes at Hailey. “I think it’s time I tell you guys the full story now that we don’t have to worry about others. You see after that mission I had in Oregon I came across Hailey walking along the road. At the time I didn’t know why but I felt a pull towards her and pulled over and offered her a ride to town. I didn’t know she was a witch and she didn’t know I was a vampire. We felt compelled to try and connect and tell each other our woes. Soon enough we ended up at a bar, there was more talking…and drinking.”, he said that last part in a wince when he saw his mate’s uncle and brother glare at him, even the little guy was giving him an angry pout! He quickly moved on to hopefully dig himself out, but it seemed his sweetheart also wished to chime in. He couldn’t stop his grin to her if he tried.

“We found a hotel and well…we were able to make the adorable little bundles Stefan is holding.”, she blushed out. She wasn’t ashamed of what they had done and what they made but it was still uncomfortable to make it known. She could see the hybrids in the room were baffled by the idea that a vampire could father her children. But it slowly turned into astonishment, the hybrids could hear her heartbeat, she wasn’t lying! A few stepped forward to look at the children closer and was surprised to see Stefan tuck them closer to him and snarl at them. He was calmed down by Hailey placing a hand on his arm. They took a tentative and testing step forward and weren’t snarled at. One definitely looked like her but the other looked so much like Stefan, even then they can see pieces of their mom and dad in either of them.

Stefan and Hailey looked in glee as everyone had finally realized that these were legitimately and biologically HIS. Hailey continued as the little story wasn’t quite done yet. “The night we made the twins was also the night we unknowingly became mates. But when I woke up Stefan had gone.”, the room could hear silent sorrow in her voice and the room turned to glare at Stefan. Though they were shocked to see Stefan with a sorrow expression. They hadn’t yet had the chance to talk about that but it needed to be addressed. She knew she was selfish for bringing it up but it still had hurt a bit that he left even though she partly knew he had to. He gently cupped her face and put their foreheads together, a gesture that is quickly becoming something that they would be known for to calm each other down. Stefan parted a bit with remorse written on his face.

“I’m sorry I left that way. But please know that at the time I thought that me being away from you would be better for you. It killed me that I couldn’t wake up to see your face every day and I had missed you so much that I even began to dream about you. I won’t as for forgiveness but please know that everyday I yearned to be with you.”, Stefan waited for her decision. He was rewarded with a soft kiss which he eagerly reciprocated. She had a blush but again had a smile that melted him.

“I understand it was better for us to be apart at the time. My world was already in chaos and it hearing about my pregnancy and relationship with a creature would have drove it towards an edge. Fate had planned for us to meet now and I’m not one to look in the horse’s mouth.”, they almost got lost in each other’s eyes until Remus had cleared his throat pointedly and said with his eyes to finish the rest. Hailey turned scarlet at the reminder of an audience but continued.

“In my world that registers us as a married couple and they make it register to this side as well. I didn’t know about this until later. In order to understand this next bit is to know that I am the Mistress of the Death. I am immortal but I don’t require blood and there really isn’t a way to kill me. Being the mistress essentially means that I have the power to avoid death and communicate with it. I’m not sure what other powers come with it. There was a prophecy a long time ago that said that the Master of Death and a Creature of Death would be able to make the Heir of Death. That was how we got Caelan. But the thing is, is that I’m also Magic’s Chosen. Essentially I’m able to do things with magic nobody could ever do. Magic also wanted an heir for that mantle and so Magic’s Heir was born with the Heir of Death, Cedar. Not to mention in my world it’s also not so rare for a magical vampire male to get a witch pregnant. The thing is in my world I’m considered a big deal so I needed to move to the normal world. It really was just coincidence that me and Stefan had reunited here.”, she finished with an impish smile.

The pack now knew the story of the Potter-Salvatore family. It was an absolute marvel children had been born to a vampire father and a witch mother. Both races had been thought to absolutely despise the other and one race was cursed with never being able to procreate. Yet the Potter-Salvatore family had just destroyed that known fact. Children that are half witch and half vampire in a way similar to them, not really belonging to either kind so having to become their own. It made the hybrids want to protect the boys. Klaus saw the determination in their eyes and saw the same fierce protectiveness in his sister’s eyes that was usually held for those in their family. Stefan and Hailey had wormed their way into her heart and their children had quickly captured it. Nik had stepped up and did what no one believed he was capable of doing. He kneeled.

“I, Niklaus Mikaelson, Alpha of the Hybrids hereby swear that my pack will protect the Potter-Salvatore family. May our families remain allied and flourish in growth. Please know that by marrying Stefan this now makes Hailey Potter my sister and I will protect her as such. With their children as my nephews anyone that dares to harm them will meet an excruciating end.”, Klaus had said it so inspiringly that soon his hybrids had followed his example and his sister had as well. Rebekah couldn’t hold back her smile if she could, she finally had a sister and nephews to boot!Hailey then shocked them. She got to her knees and brought Stefan and the boys with her, took Klaus’s hand into hers and smiled to him. Her family came up behind her and also took a knee to show that they are behind her and support her. She took her other wand to raise her wand in the air.

“As you are now my brother I pledge a magical oath to your pack. I, Hailey Jamie Potter, hereby state that the Hybrid Pack is under our protection. Any who declared your enemy is now ours. As we are now family we are equal. You protect us and we protect you, so I say so mote it be!”, at her words her wand began to glow and shoot a spark of magic in the air. The oaths and vows done everyone in the room was contempt with the silence. But it was broken when Hailey’s stomach made itself known again. They all made their way to the large dining table and started the feast. Not worried about muggles Tonks had conjured a high chair for Teddy out of the chair next to her. Hailey had summoned the twins bassinet and charmed their bottles to hold themselves as the twins ate. They did it so nonchalantly that they ignored the awed looks from the pack. Ron had started plucking food so quickly that it startled the rest to start eating as well. They mostly talked about the new comers, the babies, what made the difference between them and wiccans, and how Remus was a slightly different werewolf. Rebekah was chatting with Hermione and Tonks was pleasantly surprised to find out there was a whole world of shopping that she had yet to explore. They were gonna have to wait a few days before they could have a shopping spree but plans were being made.

A gentle jingle went off that alerted that the boys were done eating. Hailey went to go and pick them up and began to burp them, Stefan followed and held Caelan while she held Cedar. She decided to move the bassinet closer to her seat so she hovered it over, she gestured to Stefan and both put their children in. She looked through the baby bag and found the boy’s pacifiers, it lulled them to sleep fairly quickly due to their tummies being full. Seeing the boys falling asleep reminded Remus to give Hailey her room key. “Cub, here’s yours I already have mine as do Ron and Hermione.”, Stefan looked confused at the key what was it for?

“Oh yeah, we checked the house. The outside is pretty good but the inside needs some color. The furniture needs to be bought, so we’ll look at catalogs tomorrow. We’ll need kitchen stuff and bathroom stuff but that’s about it. But everything will feel just like home once we start hanging some pictures and portraits around. We already put your bags in the Master bedroom Hailey, awesome part is that it connects to a smaller room that can be made into a nursery. Also, Remus, Tonks we made sure to make a door between yours and Teddy’s nursery.”, Ron and Hermione checked out the house. There was some workers fixing it up from the ministry that mostly just stayed out of their way. They were replacing paint, getting rid of mold, and remolding the house essentially to be more modern on the inside and keep the look on the outside. The man in charge said it would be ready by tomorrow morning as planned. They could have the workers do everything for them but then it wouldn’t feel like home.

Stefan was starting to feel worried, he didn’t want to be separated from his mate and sons! His vampire was beginning to go into a frenzy as well, they went so long without her being in a different building will definitely make him neurotic. But they already made arrangements for the night and he can’t just insist for her family to spend the night when it wasn’t his house. He felt his head spin but luckily his pseudo brother was having the same idea. A recovering ripper has very gentle control, Stefan having to deal with everything here is already pushing it as it is. Klaus has no doubt that Stefan could recover, he has trained and pushed himself so much to have a good control of his bloodlust he just needed a bit more time and of course the support of his mate. “How about you spend the night here instead, after today’s events I would rather we have everyone in one place?”, Klaus offered.

“That’s very kind of you but we wouldn’t want to impose-“, Remus didn’t want to impose on the man. He and Moony are not sure how to view Klaus yet. He was the brother to what is basically his nephew-in-law. It seems strange to view him as a nephew though since Klaus and Stefan were older than him. Perhaps being with them for the night would help. But there was a question that he needed an answer to before he could agree.

“Please you would be easing me and we have more than enough room for everyone.”, Klaus insisted. He could see Remus was willing to accept. He could see Stefan getting anxious while waiting for Remus’s decision.

“Well…thank you. But that does bring up what had occurred today, why on earth would you need to be eased and why did we hear about Hailey having been involved in some brawl?”, he was worried about what dangers she could encounter. They left the wizarding world because of its laws and fighting even after the war. They just wanted some semblance of peace.

“I’m afraid that would be my fault. While we trying to get Hailey something to eat earlier we ran into my biological brother Damon. Damon resents me for a lot of things and he was trying to get a ride out of me and he succeeded. He insulted me and then moved to try and seduce Hailey in front of me. Next thing I know he’s on the ground and I’m punching him in the face.”, Stefan said with guilt lacing his tone. But Remus understood as a creature himself. The nerve of that man to try and do that to a mated couple, mates were not common in their world but not unheard of they were considered sacred in creature law. But unless properly bonded, a wedding ceremony, their world would dismiss it. Hearing of this Damon’s actions reminded him of the stories he’s heard of noble men trying to force a mated woman into courting or marriage and completely ignoring the mating bond. To families like the Malfoy’s and Parkinson’s they deemed mating to be below them. He sneered at the thought of his niece being pursued by some deviant that didn’t respect the bond.

Remus looked to Stefan and saw how he still had a face of guilt, that needed to stop. “Get that look of guilt of your face! What you did was justified, a man, a brother no less is supposed to respect a relationship between a man and a woman. Your brother did not, in creature law it would have been justified for you to take his head off.”, he took a deep breath he needed to calm himself before Moony takes it as an invite to go and look for the other Salvatore brother. “What I’m saying is a man protects what he loves and you did that granted it could have been in a more controlled manner. But I will not scold you on defending Hailey and your sons. We are family now and we accept all of you, your brother is just something that if necessary will be dealt with.”, Remus said as he walked to Stefan and put a hand on his shoulders. Family means being there for each other through thick and thin it is not determined by genetics or blood. He gave Stefan an understanding smile, Hailey was close and drew them both for a hug with happy tears in her eyes. Both men were flustered but still had smiles.

“Hermione be a dear and call the hotel we’re staying here for the night.” Remus requested to Hermione she smiled and got the deed done. Klaus had send a group of Hybrids with Ron to go get the luggage but they didn’t expect to side-along apparate with him. He got a scolding from Hermione when he returned as the hybrids were very nauseous. The pack took turns patrolling easing Stefan, Klaus, and Remus. The hybrids usually stayed on the first floor to sleep. The couples roomed together in the barely used second floor. Stefan had his own room and was delighted to have his family sharing it with him. Hailey fed the boys once more before burping them with the assistance of Stefan. They put them to sleep in the bassinets Hailey hovered from the dining room. Stefan chuckled at the simple yet amazing use of magic. He wasn’t sure if Bonnie could even do something like that.

That night Rebekah and Klaus had a serious discussion. Klaus was nearly complete in making hybrids, enough to protect his family from Mikael but it brought the question of their brothers. He had no doubt that his brothers would want to inflict serious damage to him but he made a vow. Rebekah was with him, ever since Hailey entered Stefan’s life and in return them entering the family Klaus had seem closer to how he had been when they were human. He’s progressed so much and went to extreme lengths to ensure their family safety from father. She suggested that they undagger their brothers as soon as Hailey, the boys, and the rest of the family were in their new home. There was no way they were gonna risk their lives with their brothers thirst. She made some suggestions to make her brothers forgive Klaus faster.

Elijah would need to have a conversation with Klaus, a long one and once he sees how much Klaus resembles his old self things will be fine. Kol would be tricky as all he was ever interested in was witches and magic, though a light went up in Klaus’s head at that. After Kol gets his anger out he would reveal what he has learned, a whole world hidden filled with magic. Rebekah thought about it and it should be enough to placate Kol and after he’s controlled his hunger he could even meet the new witches and wizards of Mystic Falls. Rebekah had doubt on Finn, all he ever cared for was Sage and Klaus killed her. She slapped Klaus on the head and berated him for doing so but was momentarily shocked to see his confusion. He never killed Sage, it spurred Rebekah. That was it! All was needed was to locate Sage and Finn would be fine.

Before going to sleep that night for Klaus he was plagued with thoughts on his brothers. He knew that the bonds he had with Kol and Finn needed serious mending. After so long he just wanted his brothers back, for them to be safe and he didn’t care if he made them angry by doing so. What hurt would be knowing that he hurt his brothers in another way. They were well adverse with anger but he knew that like Elijah all his brothers needed a conversation perhaps multiple. But he wouldn’t stop until they realized that they were family and he needed them safe. They could hate him but he would never forgive himself if they thought in any way that they didn’t matter to him. Every sin and atrocities he had committed had been to protect his siblings, even if to them he was just their…bastard brother. He went to sleep hoping for the future to shed light on his family old and new.

Stefan felt completely content and slightly embarrassed. Hailey was dressed in ONLY a t-shirt with her underwear. We had similar sleeping attire but she seemed completely oblivious to what having her so close to him is doing. She was already asleep and they were spooning but he had a…problem. She would shift and accidentally rub against him taking him forever to will away his…stiffness. But he went to sleep happy. Every three hours the boys would wake demanding nourishment and attention. He and Hailey were grateful that they did it at the same time.

It did give him the chance to think through the night, he panicked at not being with Hailey for the night how would he handle her being in an entire different building. He brought it up with her and she was understanding she had actually planned to invite him to live in their mansion as they were married it made sense for them to live in the same home. It made him elated but he had to tell Klaus, they would need to make a new schedule to keep his training up. When the morning came there was more pack family cooking, Stefan cooked Hailey her share as she had to feed the boys. He was rewarded with a delightful thank you kiss that had everyone wolf-whistle at them. Stefan told Klaus about upcoming changes and Klaus was happy to make a few tweaks to their schedule. Someone rung the doorbell breaking the happy domestic atmosphere, Tyler stood up to answer it after getting a nod from Klaus. They all grew annoyed as the person started impatiently banging on the door.

They were beyond annoyed when it was opened to reveal Damon and Elena. They pushed pass Tyler as if they owned the place and marched to the dining table. Hailey’s family was confused as who they were until they saw the look on Hailey’s face. She looked uncomfortable and annoyed and that was enough for her family to know that these people were here to bring trouble. Remus was sitting in front of Stefan and nudged him to get his attention. He raised an eyebrow and Stefan let out an annoyed sigh that caused Damon to smirk at him and Elena to just look disappointed…but it turned into jealousy at seeing the new girl right next to Stefan. “Might as well get this out of the way, that is Damon, my brother, and that’s Elena Gilbert. Her blood, while human, let’s Klaus make hybrids.”, Stefan didn’t say anything more as that is all they were to him now. They nodded in understanding, Elena looked angry at Stefan’s introduction of her. It turned angrier when the new girl put a hand on Stefan as if to assure him of something.

Klaus was the one to ask the question. “Miss Gilbert I do believe that we don’t require you for another three days. What on Earth are you doing in my home, uninvited?”, he hoped and prayed to anyone listening that Salvatore hadn’t convinced her to lash out.

“Who is she and what do you have planned Klaus?”, the nerve of this human girl.

“I believe I already told you who she is Elena. She’s my wife and mother to my-“, Stefan was saying annoyed but then got cut off by his infuriating brother.

“That’s total crap and you know it Stefan!”, Damon was done with that stupid cover story.

“Well not that it’s any of your business but Hailey is a witch, not like Bonnie and her mind at all, and the boys are halflings. Half vampire, half wizard.”, he proceeded to explain their story for what felt like the fifth time. He ignored the disbelieving scoffs and annoyed glares from both of them. He got agitated when Elena had started to glare and march up to him and Hailey. She ignored the tables warning growls and then proceeded to rant.

“You can’t expect us to believe that a vampire knocked you up! I remember Stefan coming back from that mission and it was like three months ago. If he had been able to actually put a baby in you wouldn’t they need more time to actually be born?”, she ended with a scoff. Elena thought back on the night Stefan came back and he had those marks that had nearly driven her crazy! That damned new girl was the same girl that left those disgusting marks on Stefan! As soon as she was done she felt her hair begin to stick up on its ends. She looked and saw that little attention hogger had a blank face but her eyes were glowing and brewing a storm. She was about to make another remark when she was suddenly upside down in mid air. She went up with a startled yelp and felt as if a rope was hanging into her foot, she was flailing about that she didn’t notice the room go deadly silent as the Mistress of Death made her way in front of her. Damon was about to speed to them but was held back by Stefan and Tyler. Elena stopped struggling and shouting when a delicate hand and held her face in a painful grip.

“I don’t care what you believe it doesn’t change the fact that Stefan is the father to my sons. You are of great value to Klaus at the moment so I won’t harm you for your disrespect of my family. But know this I could kill you with two words, I could make you bite your tongue and fingers off with a single word, and with a single word I can make you feel as if your blood had been replaced with molted lava. Don’t ever believe that I will stand for your spoiled behavior, any disrespect or harm to my family and any nightmares you have I will make into a reality.”, her family was standing at attention just as they did in the war. Her voice used with Elena was reserved for death eaters and Voldemort. It put terror and respect though anyone soul who heard it, except for Damon and Elena they had pure terror on their faces. Stefan was practically drooling over how fierce Hailey had spoke. He and Tyler finally let Damon go when Elena had fallen in a very ungraceful heap on the floor.

Damon pulled Elena close to him once he got her off of the floor. She was enjoying being so close to Damon but she couldn’t ignore how Stefan was fawning over Potter. Elena was furiously jealous that girl was gorgeous, apparently had married Stefan, and given him children. She would have never been able to do any of that and standing in the same room as Potter makes her feel inadequate. She needed her gone now! Not to mention Potter is a threat, maybe she had Stefan under some spell, and maybe she was there to threaten Elena. She whispered to Damon her thoughts and Damon was set in at least leaving a mark. Damn Stefan again for getting everything! Elena was still pining over him and now he had a gorgeous witch on his arm! And apparently he was a father, that was Damon’s dream first, he’s older, he deserves to have what he wants too!!

The whole room was now ignoring their existence. It reminded Damon of when he was a human child and baby Stefan was born. Suddenly he didn’t matter, he was overlooked, he only got attention when he demanded it. But Stefan had some weird talent that made people pay more attention to him. He didn’t have everyone watching him and that had made a very resentful Damon. It had gotten slightly better once Stefan got older but the resentment never disappeared, it multiplied when Katherine came. He made his way to the little witch bitch and her brats. Stefan was across the room previously talking to Klaus and trying to ignore their presence. But his vampire face came in full force at seeing Damon near his wife and children.

Damon, who loves to torment Stefan at any chance he gets, leaned over Hailey when Stefan was being placated by Klaus to not go into a murderous rage. Flirting with her was getting him nowhere and he was staring to get annoyed. He put his hand on her shoulder and was planning to crush it with his enhanced strength to give her a good scare when the unexpected happened, at least to Damon and Elena. The twins while still infants where very in tune with energy, to the point that they could be empaths. They sensed their ‘uncle’s’ energy, it was filled with so much negativity that the twins had a flight or fight reaction. They were definitely their parents children as both reacted with fight. Caelan had hissed and protracted his baby fangs and bit the hand that intended to cause his mother harm. While Cedar in distress used his accidental magic to start throwing anything that wasn’t nailed to the ground at him bringing the situation to the whole room’s attention. Elena cursed under her breath.

Once he saw his brother’s hand on his mate he was engulfed with possessiveness at seeing it, protectiveness from seeing how much distress her and the twins are, and saw red as Damon had soon recovered and turn his anger from Caelan biting him and Cedar throwing things, to Hailey. Damon had started to protract his fangs to drain Hailey as punishment but was interrupted from it as his little brother had decided to punch him in the jaw. The punch was strong enough that it shattered his jaw and threw him into the opposite wall. Soon a whole team of hybrids had him pinned to the ground as the Original hybrid himself walked over and bent at his waist to speak to Damon.

“Now, I believe we have given you fair warning about trying to harm her. Not to mention the twins poor throats from crying. You have broken the agreement now, Elena dear I’m afraid he must be punished.”, Klaus said. His voice sounded nonchalant but his face gave off how angry he was. He had his eyes glowing and glaring down at Damon. He made a shooing motion with his hand and the hybrids took it as the sign to drag Damon to the dungeon. Damon was trying to break free but the hybrids didn’t let up. Elena started to panic.

“You can’t do that! We had a de-“, she was on the verge of having another crying hit when she was cut off.

“The deal was that I can’t hurt you or anyone you cared for. However it did not say anything about Rebekah and Stefan and definitely nothing about our new family members. They have total freedom to enact the punishment the elder Salvatore deserves.”, Klaus said with an impish smirk. He had his hands behind his back to indicate that it wasn’t his hands that would have Damon’s blood on them. She looked to Stefan ignoring his glare and ran to him and clenched at his forearms. Causing Hailey to glare at her.

“Stefan please! Be reasonable this is your-“, she was starting to shake him and plead with him. But Stefan was fed up and pushed her away. The action itself made Elena had a face on as if he had just slapped her.

“NOT MY BROTHER ANYMORE ELENA! He had his chance and he tried to hurt my wife and sons! Every instinct in me is begging for me to end him! Be grateful that Klaus hasn’t decided to kill him!”, he was fed up with Elena shrieking and grabbing him. It felt wrong to have her touch him. Elena fell to her knees with unshed tears in her eyes and looked shocked at Stefan’s disregard of her. She looked to Tyler in hopes of getting sympathy but he was avoiding her eyes and instead focusing on making the twins laugh at his silly faces. He and Ron were actually succeeding which made Hailey smile. At seeing her smile Elena had enough and stormed out of the mansion and back to the boardinghouse.

There she found the gang that had answered her calls, as usual. All of them had hesitant faces on after what happened at the grill. When Elena retold her story of what occurred they dreaded what she was going to ask of them. They were given warnings but of course Damon had to go and mess with the person that they were told under no circumstances to mess with. The girl was a new mother for goodness sakes, why would Damon and Elena try to hurt her?! Bonnie had asked the very question and Elena started on again. Caroline had enough of hearing how Elena was making it seem that they were attacked and of course making herself the damsel in distress. Especially since Elena’s plan was to break in the Mikaelson Mansion to get Damon.

“Elena! I would rather choke on my own intestines before risking my life for Damon!”, Caroline finally snapped. With tears in her eyes she finally turned her back to Elena and made her way to the door.

“We can’t just abandon him, Care! Think of everything he’s done for-“, Elena was ready to start one of her insufferable speeches about how Damon had redeemed himself but was cut off abruptly. Everyone deserved a second chance but…Damon Salvatore has had more than enough chances. His own brother had been able to see that why can’t Elena!?

“For YOU, Elena! For you and even then it’s for selfish reasons. Elena I have been your friend since forever but I can’t do it anymore. After everything he’s done, you still want him. He’s the reason your biological dad died remember! Because he was selfish and forced his blood onto you! He’s the reason I had turned into a vampire because he was taking advantage of me and didn’t want his walking blood bag to die! He killed Mason, Elena! You know the guy that babysat us until we were thirteen! The worst part is, is that I know that none of this changes how you feel towards him!”, she couldn’t hold anything back anymore! She was sobbing everything out and Elena had misty eyes but didn’t challenge anything she was saying. So much had happened, they all had lost so much, and what she named was only what she knew of. They all had their grievances with Damon but Elena seems to just wave them off.

“I know Elena that the reason you started liking Damon was because he didn’t care who he hurt in order for you to be alive, which unfortunately includes the rest of us! I’m done Elena, I’m done with everyone your supposed to care about being disposable side characters in your life!”, with everything out in the air the room was silent. Caroline had tear tracks on her face and she finally walked out of the room. She just couldn’t handle it anymore, Elena didn’t care and even encouraged Damon to try and hurt the new girl. A girl in which she knew had babies to mother, she just couldn’t believe Elena would be so selfish to want to get rid of that girl just because Stefan fell for her. She needed someone to talk to…hopefully Stefan wouldn’t mind another person on his side. Tyler had the right idea about staying with his new pack. Maybe she could finally get to know the Originals a bit more without Elena and Damon whispering in her ear. She made her stance known she wonders what the rest of them will do.
