God I am so tired of seeing people online simping for 01’s murderous krypt keeper looking ass and getting praised for it when the mere mention of liking Billy online gets you a ton of hate, tf is wrong with the internet man

I was planning to take a small social media break but I saw the amazing headcanon that Argyle and Billy might have been friends in California! It such a sweet idea that I just had to draw something with that :) There’s something so special about childhood friendships and having seen someone through everything including growth spurts and the preteen awkward phase! And in a scenario where Billy lived, seeing that pizza van would be like some sort of miracle after everything he’s endured.

With all the revived hype surrounding Billy from the latest S4 trailer, I’m reminded why I will forever be grateful that the role was given to someone like Dacre Montgomery. With all the speculation of Billy not only returning, but possibly returning as ANOTHER corrupted version of himself, Dacre is the only reason why I still have hope for Billy’s arc.

He is the reason why Billy is as complex and nuanced as he is in canon. Judging from past interviews, it seems like the Duffers were content to just let Billy be this two dimensional bully who’s an irredeemable maniac (and possibly still believe he is to some extent). But it was Dacre who humanized him. He understood that no one is simply born evil, that people like Billy have deeper issues going on in their lives. He suggested to add the scene with his dad abusing him and to give him a backstory of how he was abandoned by the only person who loved him. He demonstrated how all that shit twisted a sweet little boy into an angry, aggressive teenager. It would be enough to turn anybody into a Billy Hargrove.

Dacre gave the audience a reason to sympathize with Billy and demonstrated how he still has the potential to become a better person and overcome his toxic ways.

So, no matter what role Billy plays this season (whether it be alive, in flashbacks, or in some monster form), I trust that Dacre will put all his effort to maintain and continue Billy’s character development.

THE SHADOW FANGIRLIES ARE EATING GOOD TONIGHT Y’ALL

With the general consensus around James Potter being “ yeah he was an ass in school but he grew out of it and changed for the better”, I often wonder if that would still hold true if the entirety of Snape’s Worst Memory was shown in the movie. And I mean everything.

Not just Snape being verbally humiliated and emasculated in front of all his peers, but being (the equivalent of) tied up and gagged, and forcibly putting him in a position that exposes his underwear and threatened even further with exposing his private areas.

Reading the scene should be enough to leave a bad taste in anyone’s mouth but to see it play out visually, it would be harder to brush it off as “boyish behavior or horseplay” imo.

Is it weird that I haven’t really been a fan of Stranger Things proper in years? Like, I consider myself:

I feel like an old-timey prospector trying to divine gold nuggets from dirt. Because there are some truly interesting, worthwhile elements scattered around the place that I’ve seen other writers spin into incredible stories.

But overall… whatever the show has ultimately become doesn’t really do it for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
