Apparently a lot of people get dialogue punctuation wrong despite having an otherwise solid grasp of grammar, possibly because they’re used to writing essays rather than prose. I don’t wanna be the asshole who complains about writing errors and then doesn’t offer to help, so here are the basics summarized as simply as I could manage on my phone (“dialogue tag” just refers to phrases like “he said,” “she whispered,” “they asked”):
“For most dialogue, use a comma after the sentence and don’t capitalize the next word after the quotation mark,” she said.
“But what if you’re using a question mark rather than a period?” they asked.
“When using a dialogue tag, you never capitalize the word after the quotation mark unless it’s a proper noun!” she snapped.
“When breaking up a single sentence with a dialogue tag,” she said, “use commas.”
“This is a single sentence,” she said. “Now, this is a second stand-alone sentence, so there’s no comma after ‘she said.’”
“There’s no dialogue tag after this sentence, so end it with a period rather than a comma.” She frowned, suddenly concerned that the entire post was as unasked for as it was sanctimonious.

A list of rules when interacting with an aroace person, by an aroace person:
- Do not romantic our platonic. We will not hesitate to smash a rock into your skull.
- Do not piss us off. We're all attached by invisible walkie-talkies. It's like roaches--if there's one, there's definitely another one nearby.
- Do not say things like 'when you're married' or 'when you meet that special person'. Trust me, coming to terms with an aroace identity in a romance-centered world is not a fun, quirky choice.
- Do not assume that we don't like seeing romance/sex in the media. I'm aroace and one of my favourite genres is romance.
- WE ARE LGBTQIA+. Doesn't matter if we're cis, heterosexual but aromantic or heteroromantic but asexual or any other combination of all the various shades of aspec, WE COUNT AS QUEER PEOPLE.
- Do not equate being aroace or on the aspectrum to being celibate. It's not the same thing. Being aroace is not a choice.
- Being aroace does not mean we're all lonely or sad. Eating garlic bread is scientifically shown to boost your serotonin levels (don't fact check me on this)
- Living with someone or wanting to live with someone doesn't mean we want them romantically! If you have the option to establish a hideout for you and all your buddies, why wouldn't you?
This was, again, a list of rules when interacting with an aroace person, shown to reduce chances of dying by burnt breadsticks and pasta by 100%!
They will be safe. It doesn't matter who else or what else burns as long as They will be safe.
I will be safe. The hunger and the cold will never touch me again.
Fuck any bitch who's prettier(/cooler/better-liked/better at making dumplings) than me.
Yes, Master
Love me. Love me. Love me. Love me. LOVE ME!
I know the terrible things these so-called "heroes" will do if I don't stop them (<- is absolutely wrong)
I don't want a better future, I want a better past!

"Um, It's Kind of a Lot" by Will Wood is so togachako-coded that it HURTS. Like, so give it a listen, but here are some of my favorite lyrics (majority of the song because ITS SO TOGACHAKO-CODED.)
"But I never been afraid of no one breaking my heart It's not like I'm 'bout to fall and cut my throat on the shards And I'm afraid of damn near everything All my life's a panic trip, a rocket ship to planet schizoid Hold me like a tourniquet, and I'll you, like an iron maiden I've grown used to fear But no, not to you yet, my dear"
"Oh, I love you so much it scares me half to death I'm not used to this How did it happen, baby? Oh, I love you so much it scares me half to death The other half, I guess, I'm giving to you Oh, baby"
"Oh, I'm afraid that you'll change your mind I'm afraid there's somebody better I'm afraid of four-letter words, like "love", "for" And "ever", or whatever And I'm afraid you'll notice all my flaws I'm afraid you already have, obviously And I'm afraid I'll come on too strong Hold you too tight and scare you too"
"But I never been afraid to wear my heart on my sleeve At least to prove I'm weak and if you cut me I'll bleed Could you be the light my X-rays need?"
"Spit me out, you don't know where I've been Hold me at claw's length, baby I'm not used to fear of losing something I hold dear"
"So here's one last lyric to sum up these Thoughts I struggled to come up with To make me sound deep and smart and Then I promise I'll shut up Wait, let me think Hold on, I got this Anything but "I'm in love with you""
Ochako strikes me as someone who starts crying when she gets really happy/something sickeningly sweet and intimate happens.
Himiko, on the other hand, seems like the type to hug someone so tightly they explode when something really sweet/really happy happens. Like, too much joy, no way to express it, starts hugging people really tightly and trying to bite them.
yeah I think I remember this happening in the manga? Sucks it wasn't animated. Same with the scene where they kissed then got married. These dang adaptations are getting out of hand.. (unfortunate /j)

Stunt double Himiko/Practical effects artist Ochako.
Hear me out.
They both work on the same movie set. Despite her quirk being stereotypically villainous, Himiko found success and family with a team of SFX artists: Dabi, who uses his quirk for pyrotechnics, Shigaraki, who uses his quirk to help clear debris/sites (he's also on standby for more risky stunts, since he can get locks and stuff open/broken quickly), and Mr. Compress for behind the scenes movements, like people/objects disappearing/reappearing practically. Spinner has appeared as the reptilian monster in several movies, and puts forth his best effort to give the "monster" another more "human" dimension.
Twice is the one who was able to get Himiko a spot on the team. He uses his clones as stunt doubles, but since he needs a bunch of measurements and they can't take a hit, they aren't very effective. The only good things about them is that 1) They can test harnesses and other equipment before putting someone's life on the line, and 2) they don't have to memorize lines, because the person he copied already knows theirs.
He recommends Himiko as a good stunt double, since she has training when it comes to fighting, and it doesn't take her long to copy someone, since unlike Twice who needs all the information, she just needs their blood.
Ochako is there to help with practical effects, transporting heavy equipment, and getting cool shots by making people/cameras/microphones weightless. With her quirk, directors don't need to find an actor with super strength to portray a strong character, so they can instead focus on someone who's better at acting.
Anyways they meet and fall in love working together and it's really cute and fun. Reallllly wanna write this at some point lol
