Chat Is 7,000 Words Too Much For A First Chapter? Asking For A Friend

We english speakers need more words for Laugh that have different emotional connotations. I can feel the authors of the past shaming me from the great beyond as I attach adverbs to every he laughed. Cause He laughed shyly, he laughed sadly, and he laughed softly, are all different vibes and there's too many adverbs everywhere but I have no alternatives that work for the situation!

Y'all, chapter 7 is kicking my ass. I had to start putting the actual plot in here and I've restarted the chapter like 3 times because I can't get it to work with me.

Fucked around and drew a scene from my last chapter cause I'm having brain fog with writing. Got all the way done with it and realized Dash is wearing his jacket in this scene. I did not have the energy to fix it.

Y'all chronic illness and work is kicking my ass this week. I'm only about halfway through chapter 3's first draft. If I hadn't had to help a coworker break into their car cause they locked their keys in there, I would be further, but duty calls you know.

If these gays are supposed to be platonic, then why does the background music sound like it should be playing at a wedding????

I've fixed it!!!!! I can now finish chapter 9! It's the new windows update that's killing me. Hopefully I can get this done soon

The universe (windows defender) is keeping me from finishing this next chapter. For some god awful reason the anti-virus software is taking up more than 50% of my computer's memory and I can't keep my document tabs open for more than thirty seconds at a time to write.

I have tried searching for this problem literally everywhere it's even typed "reddit" at the end of my search and have tried everything I found. Nothing is working. I won't be able to finish the chapter until I can get my computer to work.

If anyone has struggled with antimalware service executable like this, id love some help.
