This Is Probably The Only Thin I’ll Ever Post But Here We Go.

So recently I’ve bee considering applying for a balance and mobility support/service dog, but I want a bit more information from people who actually have them and aren’t paid to give a good review

(It’s also alarmingly difficult to find organizations that train balance and mobility service dogs)

I understand the financial drain and the time you need to put in to make the team function properly. I understand that a service dog is considered a medical device and not a pet, but they still need love and support and breaks like all loving things should. I understand that given my allergies a poodle would be the best option but I could also push for a less common breed.

Does anyone have an info, tips or blogs to recommend?

I really want to be independent once I move out and I really think a balance and mobility support dog would be helpful.

Big shout out to the coalition of Catholic nuns who just told the US bishops to stop being transphobic.

It goes on to argue that “we will remain oppressors until we — as vowed Catholic religious — acknowledge the existence of LGBTQ+ people in our own congregations. We seek to cultivate a faith community where all, especially our transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive siblings, experience a deep belonging.”

The letter also states transgender people are “experiencing harm and erasure” in various ways, listing daily discrimination, a groundswell of state-level legislation aimed at LGBTQ rights and “harmful rhetoric from some Christian institutions and their leaders, including the Catholic Church.”

idk why i just remembered this but all throughout kindergarten and first grade i used to draw a lil snail in the corner of every paper i had to turn in because it was a happy snail so i thought it would make my teachers happy when they were grading papers because i was a pure and simple child but in 2nd grade my teacher would take off 2 points if i drew it on my homework and 5 points if i drew it on a quiz or test so i stopped but like it was so harmless it was just a lil shitty doodle of a smiling snail it wasn’t distracting me or anything from the task at hand so i’d like to say to mrs whoeverthefuck that snail was supposed to be a happy thing u bitch

I like Salvador Dali (asexual) for his art and his different view of the world but he didn’t really do anything for the community.

I read a while ago about someone who worked with Martin Luther King Jr, fought alongside him, who identified as homosexual but I can’t for the life of me remember his name. I saved an article about him somewhere but I can’t find it. If anyone knows who I’m talking about, help me find his name.
