Why Do People Behave Like Edwin Is The Main Character And Charles Is Just There To Be His "bestie" Low

Well, it's a rubbish night, but I hope everyone's doing ok and massive hugs to anyone that wants one.

“Edwin fell first” this, “Charles fell harder” that try and convince me that Charles didn’t fall in love with Edwin the second he walked into that attic. Tell me that he didn’t attribute the fluttering in his heart to the chill of hypothermia seeping into his bones. Tell me that Charles loving Edwin hasn’t been second nature since the moment they met, which is why he never recognised it. Tell me that he didn’t push down the feeling due to years of internalised homophobia.

Tell me that Edwin didn’t fall harder. He suddenly realised that it was possible to like a boy and love fell on him like a tidal wave, heavy and immobilising. Whereas Charles’ love was like a gentle stream that slowly became more and more intense over the years, Edwin’s was like a waterfall that suddenly went from 0 to 100.

Payneland is literally the opposite of "the feeling was friendship but neither of them had ever experienced it." They've been in love for 30+ years but don't know how to differentiate that from friendship because neither of them have ever experienced it

The urge to adopt several pets and name them after the Batfamily pets (specifically the animals that are the same like the comics, creating the characters in real life) is so strong.

A confession-

I shipped radioapple before the show even came out (I preferred Alastor aro but if I had to choose a ship for him it would have been with Lucifer). Originally Vivzie said she thinks they'll get along well. I thought they already knew each other and they'll have chemistry.

Totally not anticipated their beef or a full song to prove who was the ultimate dad😭

I know Charles is obviously bisexual within the context of the show (no way that boy is straight) and Steve Yackey officially said in an interview he and Edwin will "develop their relationship beyond friendship" in season 2 (if it will be able to happen of course).

But I still need DC to canonically confirm Charles as bi. I cannot go through this again. I am sick of baiting. Yes he's obviously bi but I still need it announced. I need it to be absolute, to shush anyone who would doubt it. I need to hear it.

It's pride month now DC, you have the perfect opportunity. It can't be any more perfect.

Another small way to help Dead Boy Detectives that takes less than 5 minutes

This was a suggestion from the @savethedeadboys account on TikTok!

If you have a Netflix account, go to this page:

When you get there you can just type your issue in as "Chat with a representative" and then press "Chat with us."

A chat box will pop up, just like if you were private messaging someone. They will ask what you need and again I just typed in "Chat with a representative."

After that, you will be connected to someone (for me it was less than 5 minutes) and asked what email your account is associated with and what you need help with. I said the following:

"Hello! I wanted to reach out and voice my displeasure and disappointment about Netflix's recent decision to cancel Dead Boy Detectives. I know that as a customer service representative, this is not your fault and you are not involved in these decisions, but I have been so heartbroken and angry that this show was canceled by Netflix with no justifiable reason. It seems to be a trend lately that Netflix does not care to complete stories that mainly focus on the experiences of queer people and people of color, which is a great injustice to the audiences that typically are looking to be represented in the media they consume and the diverse cast who put their all into creating a fantastic, nuanced show. If possible, I would greatly appreciate you passing this message along to let someone in management know my displeasure with this recent decision that could very well lead to me ending my relationship with the streamer in the future. Thank you!"

You can use what I said as a template, but obviously, adjust it to sound like you! My representative was lovely and I had this message typed beforehand, so literally it took me 5 minutes. You can even request a copy of the conversation (a transcript) to be sent to your email if you desire (I did, I have been keeping meticulous receipts of my work regarding saving this show so Netflix cannot have any plausible deniability, at least where I'm concerned).

Remember to BE KIND. Whoever you're talking to did not make this decision and they shouldn't be treated poorly because of it!
