Never reply when you are angry, never make a promise when you are happy, and never make a decision when you are sad. Emotions can cloud your judgement leading you to say or do things you may regret. Anger can fuel harsh words, happiness can make you over commit, and sadness can lead to choices that don't reflect your truth intentions. Always be cautious! let your emotions settle and approach each situation with a clear mind. Wisdom comes from when knowing to wait before acting.

East Africa is a region rich in culture and diversity, yet it faces significant challenges regarding LGBT rights and acceptance. In many countries, same-sex relationships are criminalized, leading to widespread discrimination and violence against LGBTQ+ individuals. Despite these obstacles, activism and community support continue to emerge, highlighting the resilience of the LGBT community.

Life for LGBT individuals in Kakuma refugee camp can be incredibly challenging. Many face discrimination and violence, both from other refugees and the camp's authorities. The camp is often overcrowded and lacks adequate resources, making it difficult for LGBT individuals to find safe spaces.

Social stigma can lead to isolation, and many struggle with mental health issues due to their experiences. However, there are also organizations and support groups within the camp working to provide advocacy, counseling, and safe spaces for LGBT refugees. Some individuals find solidarity and community among others who share similar experiences, which can be a source of strength in such a difficult environment.

Overall, while the challenges are significant, there are efforts to improve the situation and create a more inclusive atmosphere.

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I write to you today with a heart full of gratitude and hope, even as I face the challenges of illness and hardship.

In a place where survival itself is a struggle, your kindness has been a rare light in our lives. Because of you, we have felt seen, heard, and valued. Your help has given us moments of relief—moments where we could breathe a little easier, knowing that someone out there cares.

But as I write this, I am unwell. I still receive the same pain though I've been checked now I'm struggling to get treatment and access to proper medical care is still a distant dream for many of us. The daily reality of being transgender in a refugee camp remains harsh—lack of healthcare, discrimination, and the constant fear of violence and neglect. We are still fighting for the basic dignity that every human deserves.

I am reaching out requesting for support to get treatment and I humbly ask—please do not forget us. Any assistance you can offer, whether through advocacy, resources, or even just spreading awareness, could make a world of difference.

From the depths of my heart, thank you. Thank you for seeing us when so many turn away. Thank you for your kindness, your humanity, and your belief that we deserve better. Please stand with us once more.

I am a trans girl living in a refugee camp, a place where survival is the only thing that matters, and people like me often fade into the background. I came here seeking safety, hoping to find a place where I could live without fear. But even within these crowded tents and endless lines for food, I remain invisible.

Today, the pain in my stomach is unbearable. It started as a dull ache a few days ago, but now it twists inside me like a knife. I don’t know what’s wrong. Maybe it’s something I ate, or maybe my body is struggling under the weight of stress, hunger, and the cold nights on thin blankets. I need medical help, but every time I try to speak up, I am met with silence, with stares, with rejection.

I am scared. Scared that no one will listen. Scared that they will ignore me because of who I am. But I cannot let that fear stop me.

So I am writing this plea, hoping someone will hear me. I need medical care. I need someone to see me, to acknowledge that my pain is real. I am a human being, just like everyone else in this camp. I deserve to be treated with dignity, to have my suffering acknowledged.

If anyone out there can help—an aid worker, a doctor, anyone with kindness in their heart—please, I am here. I am waiting. And I am in pain.

QUIT OR KEEP MOVING..!

They can't stop you, if you don't quit. Nothing can stop you if you make the decision to keep going. Think about the strongest people you know. Maybe they are athletes, entrepreneurs, Artists or Activists anyone who has dared to dream and then dared to struggle for it. They weren't given their victories, They earned them.

They stumbled and got back up, They lost battles, face defeat, dealt with failure, but they didn't quit. And because they didn't quit they couldn't be stopped.

Resilience isn't about being breakable, it's about being unstoppable. Think about all the times you felt in doubt. It could be self doubt, maybe other people doubting you, maybe you are exhausted! it happens! we are human.
