Throw back to the time that one of my performers wanted their three year old niece to sit in the dressing room by herself while we did a 30-minute show.
She had a pacifier! Of course she cannot be left alone!
i’ve started to think about ao3 audience interaction as kinda comparable to doing a live reading in an intimate little bookstore, like kudos are everybody who stayed til the end and applauded, comments are everybody who waited to come up to talk to you afterwards, and bookmark comments are the little snatches of conversation you overhear outside.
this helps me feel better/less anxious about responding to comments with some form of thanks, because if someone walked up to me in person and said they liked my work right after reading it, i would compulsively say thanks. it also helps contextualize audience size in a healthy way i think, bc most of us naturally crave more attention on our fic, but if we were actually in the room with even like 20 people applauding and five people waiting after to tell us how awesome we are we’d be fuckin elated.
Son of a Tony
Thor: sorry I haven’t been making an appearance. I lost my brother last night.
Peter: you lost your brother?
Peter: did you find him?
Thor: son of tony no….
Peter: oh
Peter, realizing: OH-OH MY GO-I’m so sorry
I both hold and love the idea that Chat can speak though Techno if he lets them, just a cacophony of voices spilling from his mouth, but to make it angsty they can also force themselves out of him if his willpower is weak. Like, if he gets extremely overwhelmed or exhausted, or if he’s in a deep enough sleep like hibernation sometimes you can hear the whispers of chat faintly surrounding him. Just imagine Techno after a battle, covered in wounds and blood that both is and isn’t his own, and someone safe finds him and he’s exhausted, on the brink of passing out even, and whoever finds him can hear voices that aren’t his own spilling from his mouth, demanding safety and for their stupid-beloved-hurt champion to be brought elsewhere, some demanding more blood while others call for rest.
YESSSS, love this one. I've seen it used very nicely in a few fics/art before, another headcanon I've always wanted to try my hand at.
I love that in tumblr people aren't famous. Posts are. It's due to the fact that posts are made by the contribution of several blogs. I just think this is neat.
I mean, yes, I could have put all that in a single post, but an increasingly unhinged self-reblog chain has better dramatic pacing.
Starving to death this morning because ive been to the new local cafe twice this week already and if i go a third time ill look desperate.
This minecraft short comic called "A strange Coast" made by Ian Flynn I believe, I found in a book from my library I work has to be one of the most beautiful and respectful takes on the game.
It understands minecradf so perfectly and doesn't treat it as childishly as the other stories in it did.
And all that within 10 pages and no word spoken.
Jeph Jacques decided to go out in a blaze of shitposts and in his honor I think it's only right to share these tweets with a wider audience
goodnight, sweet prince
