Okay so let's review...
Yesterday's race was absolutely nerve wracking. I'm glad Max made it out okay after the incident. Charles did a stellar job at managing his engine cut outs while trying to keep a gap between him and Lewis. Testament to what a great driver he is.
I saw a his radio from the cool down lap. Unfortunately while we all hoped Ferrari may pull this off but once the Merc caught up, we knew it was inevitable.
Now let's talk what happened after the race.
I feel dissappointed in how everything was handled by everyone.
Guys, cyber bullying is not the answer. We have to right to feel dissappointed and sad, but guys come on. We're better than this.
Admittedly, I was mad as well. I got more angry in the cool down lap and I could feel a headache coming on. Then I turned of the TV and my mood improved significantly.
I turned of everything after Max confirmed he was okay. And let me tell you it was bliss.
I think what disappoints me most was that No One told Lewis.
They let him celebrate the way he did while Max was in the hospital.
Having heard Max's radio at the time of his crash, it's absolutely scary. I know the sport is dangerous but damn. HE DID NOT SOUND OKAY.
So to cut this essay short - this is my plea for everyone do not cyber bully. That means no middle finger emoji and no off handed comments.

Guys racism counts. Don't use this an opportunity.

Reblog.
I have ever been this scared in my life. This really is a living horror movie.
Please pray for South Africa.
And reblog to spread awareness.
This all started with the ex-president of South Africa (Jacob Zuma) being found guilty of crimes (he has committed so many, Iâm not even sure which one he was convicted of), and thus being sentenced to 15 months in prison.
This man, who has robbed South Africa of millions and quite possibly billions, willingly handed himself over to the Estcourt Correctional Facility, which is in the province of KwaZulu Natal, more commonly known as KZN.
Pro-Zuma supporters have taken to the streets of KZN (and for some reason Gauteng - another province in South Africa), and begun protesting on the 11th of July 2021.
These protests quickly escalated from harmless actions, to burning trucks on national roads and endangering innocent peopleâs lives. By blocking and barricading the roads, essential services such as ambulances could not pass through to save citizens.
If that wasnât bad enough, protesters quickly decided that this was not enough.
Protesters then took to the CBD of cities and began looting the establishments. Iâve seen videos of people walking out stores with an entire TV. Theyâre taking fridges, freezers, just anything they can get their hands on.
Somehow, looting establishments still isnât enough.
The Pro-Zuma supporters - now it isnât just them, itâs anyone who wants to join in on the looting - have taken to raiding residential areas. The citizens of South Africa have taken to defending themselves, because the police are either outnumbered, or they partake in the looting themselves.
The looters and the citizens are basically at war with one another, which has resulted in nights of continuous gunshots, and at least 10 people dead, with many, many more injured.
This isnât even about Zuma anymore - itâs about looting just for the heck of it. There is a way, a place, and a time to protest and, yes, it is your right as a South African. But when youâre endangering innocent peoples lives, itâs time you rethink your actions.
The time to protest like this is NOT during the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, and especially not if the looters are going around with no masks, and probably no vaccines. Only about 4.9 million South Africans have gotten the vaccine, and the population is estimated to be 59 million. Thatâs less than 10% of the population vaccinated.
I honestly donât know what more to say, other than please pray for South Africa. Please raise awareness, because almost no international news outlets are going to cover this.
Iâll be posting any updates in the comments.
