Judging by his looks alone, Izuku doesn’t seem concerned by the other refusing him. “Of course it wasn’t,” he agrees with yet another one of those wide smiles as he hooks his arm around Rody’s elbow. “Just as delivering incomplete information.” The way he’s talking about it, as if discussing the weather or the prices in the neighboring grocery shop, makes Izuku seem much different than he was the day before, and the day before that. Colder, despite the tone.
“You’re going with me, Rody,” he moves to explain, “Because you didn’t deliver what I expected from you.” He fishes out his phone from his pocket and begins scrolling the contacts list as he speaks. “That, and because I’m not stupid. I didn’t have the time to verify what you did get me, so I’m taking you as my insurance policy. If the location doesn’t check out, I’ll have you near so you don’t vanish with the payment, and I’ll just keep bothering you to get me more.” It does make sense, one would have to admit, and even of someone who does work for a legitimate agency. And his attitude? Somewhat plausible; agents have to adjust their behaviors to get what they need, right…?
“I’ll get you home by midnight, don’t worry. You won’t be breaking your curfew,” he finishes with a joke.
Rody noticeably leaned away as Izuku linked their arms together, but he didn't pull his arm away. "Hey, I did my best. I got you more information than you originally had, ya know." The guy was honestly lucky it was Rody of all people who helped him out. Any other person probably wouldn't have been able to get the same piece of information.
Damn chip... Even if it did have all the information that Izuku was looking for, he still would have been dragged along, wouldn't he? It was smart to since Rody could have written down complete nonsense just for some money. Izuku was smart. What he said was hard to argue with because Rody would have done the same if he was in his position. He stole a glance at his partner's phone while he debated on a response. "Fine." He answered, albeit reluctantly, but it was an answer nonetheless.
Oh, he's got jokes now. Rody might have laughed if he wasn't so concerned. Hearing that at least eased some of his worries, though. He wouldn't be gone for long but still... he would be gone without any warning. His siblings would worry. "...Can I stop by my place before we go..?"
ooc - Apologies for the sudden silence over here! Been rping over on Discord a lot recently, and it’s finals week so I got lots of stuff to get done.

Brr!
A shiver ran through his body while sitting in the common room of the dorms. Rody decided to study here instead of his temporary room; it was good to have a change of scenery.
But who the hell kicked the AC into high gear?
Originally he thought he could power through his studying and ignore that he was cold, but damn it, his hair was standing on end. I need to get a blanket- or change into a hoodie at least. He froze at the feeling of something being draped around his shoulders just as he was going to get up.
Surprised gray eyes met brown. "Oh- thanks, Uraraka."
“You sure you don’t have a mind-reading quirk, too?”

“why do you have that look on your face?”
“finish what you’re doing, we have to talk.”
“what have you done to yourself?”
“did you do something different with your hair?”
“it doesn’t do any good to get worked up.”
“when was the last time we had a real conversation.”
“are you in the witness protection program, or what?”
“there’s something wrong with me.”
“no, i don’t hate you.”
“hey stupid.”
“we’re aren’t them.”
“looks like i’ll live long enough to make you pay.”
“you know you’re wrong.”
“i don’t understand, why are you doing this?”
“now, before i say anything, promise me you’ll stay calm.”
“what makes me so special?”
“you have no idea what i’ve been through.”
“you really don’t have to do that, not for me.”
“did you really think you’d get a second chance?”
"how about we don’t do that.”
“i have a lot going for me, but humility is not one of them.”
“you’re the worst.”
“i don’t need you right now.”
“don’t just stand there, looking at me.”
“i thought you were supposed to call me.”
“take my hand.”
“i need you.”

“for someone who doesn’t like to feel things, you sure feel a lot of it out loud.”
“when this is all over, i want it to be you and me.”
“why won’t you tell me what happened?”
“you don’t know what this means to me.
“i know it doesn’t make sense.”
“i’m trying really hard to keep it together.”
“i know you’re new, but we do things a little differently here.”
“your voice is putting me to sleep.”
“did you find what you were looking for?”
"you knew and you didn’t even warn me?”
“well, i guess that’s broken.”
“i thought it was part of the act.”
“you think u don’t know you’re only here because they sent you?”
“you promised to call me if you didn’t know what to wear.”
“you can keep a secret, can’t you?”
“how could you do this to me?”
“put the gun down, dearest. i have news!”
“i know you don’t have any reason to trust me, but you need to know something.”
“if you’re here to tell me what happened last night, someone beat you to it.”
“people think i’m weird.”
“i think i’m losing myself again.”
“you can’t be here.”
“i wish you’d come to the funeral.”
“do you know what today is?”
“so, you broke my favourite mug… and you’re breaking up with me?”
“i need to get out.”
“it’s like i’m cursed or something.”
“you are remarkably well-behaved tonight, what have you been up to?”
“you gonna eat that?”
“sir, the pony rides are for children only.”
“i don’t want you to worry about that anymore.”
“we’ll never make it in time.”
“you’d be late for your own funeral.”
“you should have seen it coming.”
“oh, good, you’re here! hold this.”
“why can’t you just be happy for me?”
“on a scale of one to ten, how do you feel about nachos right now?”
“is this how you flirt with everyone?”
“how much longer till we’re there?”
“what have you done?”
“it’s time for you to repay that debt you owe me.”
“where did you get that? who gave it to you?”
“what kind of mother has thoughts like that?”
“i know I haven’t been what you needed, but i’m here, and i wanna help.”
“i never want to hear you say that again.”
“you’re all i have.”
“i know it’s not perfect, but i did follow the recipe this time.”
“i was doing so well until you showed up.”
“don’t eat that! i made it ‘specially for our guest.”
“it’s not that i don’t like my life, it’s that i don’t have the energy to enjoy it.”
“how can you stand this place?”
“don’t take this the wrong way, but you don’t exactly blend in.”
“you need to stop.”
“i don’t like that look, what happened?”
“is that seriously your password?”
“what’s your problem?”
“you had no right to use it without asking.”
“oh, wow, you weren’t kidding.”
“i couldn’t trust my own parents to protect me.”
“i’m surprised you haven’t been arrested yet. wait, no, i’m not.”

“ten bucks for that piece of crap?”
“we have to hurry, they’re coming!”

“do you want to get a drink or something?”
“please tell me you didn’t eat that.”
“the worst part is you didn’t even notice.”
“if i wanted help, i would have asked.”
“wanna tell me what’s going on with your grades?”
“you need to leave.”

“you’re no longer useful to me.”

"You're a good kid. That in itself makes your parents' life easier. You'll be able to help them out more some day soon." He continued to reassure her. "Your career is only just starting, you don't have to be so hard on yourself. You're doing as much as you can do at this moment in time." She was still a student. She had so much more time to experience things and grow.
"I don't think it's silly."
"It's sweet and... selfless." It made Rody wonder how many heroes thought like this. Did the few heroes in Otheon feel guilty...? Pino's feathers drooped at the thought.
Ochako's hands turned to fists at her sides, brows furrowing before she shut her eyes. Of course he was right but...it made her feel like...she wasn't enough. "I...can't even make the life of my parents easier. And I don't want to feel like...like I'm not a good heroine." She sighed and opened her eyes. "It's just...I've seen how fragile this whole world is and I wish I could do more, even if I can't do anything for myself."
She put on a sad smile. "I guess that's a silly thought, huh?"

Why is no one talking about Alan Kay. This man can hold so much potential in him. Last we saw him, he was in a coma, but he knew Rody's dad. What happens when he wakes up? (Just some quick doodles cause I needed to get these thoughts out)
He gently took the notebook from his boyfriend's scarred hands, looking over the page that it was currently on. Deku was right about him not understanding most of the writing, though it was sweet to have all of this stuff hand written about him.
All... of... this... He flipped through the additional pages that had to do with him and Pino. Said pink companion was happily viewing the pages from his shoulder as well. Rody was surprised to have even one page about him but- there was more? It was touching, and he found himself smiling at the drawings integrated into the notes. How cute.
"Hm?" Rody looked down at his boyfriend as he currently rested against his chest. Which was the worst place for him to be as his heart skipped at the sweet and genuine words. Rody knew he helped save the world, but part of him continued to deny the 'hero' label for some reason.
His face was heating up and Rody playfully shoved the notebook into the hero's face so he wouldn't see. Though that didn't stop Pino's soft chirping. "Yeah yeah, but we all know it wouldn't have been possible without you."
continued from here.
“Huh…?” Izuku blinked out of his thoughts when he heard Rody’s voice. He felt his boyfriend’s weight shift behind him and flushed for the briefest moment at the close proximity. He blinked and flashed a sheepish smile once he processed the question. “Oh…! Sorry…”
He held up the notebook for Rody to see. “You can look at it if you want…” he added as the flush only grew worse. “Though, I’m not sure how much you’d get out of it since it’s mostly in Japanese…” There were at least five full pages dedicated to Rody and Pino in the notebook. There were a few sketches of both of them along with detailed descriptions of Rody’s abilities and his Quirk.
He leaned back against Rody and a warm smile crossed his face. “You’re in here because you’re one of my heroes…” he murmured. “If it weren’t for you and Pino, we wouldn’t be able to have this kind of moment together…” His smile widened. “You both helped us save the world.”
