ooc - Apologies for the sudden silence over here! Been rping over on Discord a lot recently, and it’s finals week so I got lots of stuff to get done.
"Oi, Noodle Hair--" Katsuki approached the other teen with an expression that seemed like a mix of irritation and weariness. His heated red eyes narrowed at Noodle Hair as he asked a question that had been on his mind for a long time. "--What are your feelings towards Deku?"
He stopped where he was, slowly turning around.
"Noodle hair..?" Oh, it was that explosive blonde friend of Deku's. They never had a moment alone together so this approach was definitely strange. The expression on his face was concerning though; what could have Rody done to cause that?
...
"Pardon?"
vsagis:
It seems like the green-haired one has an answer for every question someone could possibly ask; the confidence in his voice suggests as much. “Well, your usual random member doesn’t have any useful information. Not the kind I need, anyway.”
The answer to the next question — what is it that he’s trying to find in the ruins of Humarise? — comes right after Izuku’s first statement. “You know what they were planning to do, right? I mean, we all do,” he begins in with a sort of introductory note, only to follow it with the words the other wants to hear the most. “This can’t happen again. The formula needs to be found and protected, so nobody else can attempt such a thing,” he lies. The ease uttering these false truths comes to him with is appalling; he even works to reflect the air of concerned urgency in how his fists clench on the table, and how his gaze fills with hope.
Truth be told, it’s not all lies. Izuku truly doesn’t want this tragedy to happen again, but rather find a different use to Trigger. One that wouldn’t work on such a big scale, and that would only be aimed at his individual enemies.
His interest had piqued. As wary as he was, he needed to know where this was going. "Of course," the answer was obvious. Humarise's plan was practically known worldwide.
Rody let the answer set in. The formula...? So that's what he was after. Any Humarise member that worked closely with the formula would be the most preferable then.
...His dad would have been one of them, right? Since he worked on the bombs and all.
...
Would that kind of information be on that chip from the case? He at least knew where the main base was... Some, if not most, of the humanity salvation bombs had to be manufactured there.
"I think anyone in their right mind would agree that it shouldn't happen again." He had to stop thinking so much about this. How did Rody end up as the guy to get information from? "But I really can't get involved in this sort of thing," again. He almost said the word out loud but caught himself. That word alone would have revealed too much. Talking like this was already getting him involved, and he didn't want to dive any deeper.
He eyed the stranger once more. He wasn't a hero undercover was he..? Would a hero go about getting information like this in some shady bar? There had to be better options for intel. A vigilante, maybe? It didn't matter right now. Not like Freckles would tell him if Rody asked. "I'm sure there are others that have thought like you. Maybe a group of heroes already dealt with it and have the formula secured already. Then you have nothing to worry about." The brunette reached out and took a fry, popping it into his mouth as he motioned to get up. "Maybe talk to the police or something." Rody wanted out of the conversation.

Rody also didn't like seeing kids get all upset. Roro and Lala were all he could think of while looking at this kid and thinking of the situation he had gone through. It really tugged at a soft spot in his heart.
A playground and an ice cream shop was good information to have. It was easier to find those places than trying to narrow down one house. Rody waited patiently for Uraraka as she went to retrieve her shoe, looking down at the kid beside him. How else could he try and cheer him up...?
"Would holding Pino help calm you down a bit more?" He knelt down, holding the bird gently in his extended hands. "She's really sweet and... her feathers are soft." Pino chirped, extending her wings to show off those pretty pink feathers of hers.
Time flew by like the wind. Between classwork and trying to help Rody feel accommodated at UA, Ochako had barely enough time for herself!
But she decided to ask Hatsume for a new upgrade to her uniform and was passing the hallway when she noticed Rody's door to his guest room stood open. Sneaking a peak, she poked her head in but to her surprise he didn't seem to be there. Had he simply forgotten to close the door?
Scratching her head, she continued on her way to Hatsume when her stomach growled. Although she had a small lunch a few hours prior and wasn't very hungry, she still wanted to eat something.
I guess I'll meet Hatsume later.
With that thought, Ochako made her way to the kitchen to see if she could find a snack.

Though he didn’t expect Rody to give up this quickly, the villain isn’t about to act or feel dissatisfied with the fact that he didn’t get a chance to show the other just how convincing he can be. On the contrary — his lips stretch out in a content smile, and he pats the other boy’s forearm with a nod.
“Yeah, we can take a small detour,” he agrees, but not without putting emphasis on the we. It’s something Rody should have figured out by now, but the green-haired boy still does it, just in case. You’re not going anywhere until I let you, the implications say.
“Why, you need to grab something from your house, or…?” Or maybe let someone know he’s going to be away for a while. A smart tactic, really; Izuku would have done the same if he were in Rody’s position. That means that, if anything bad were to happen to him, there will be somebody looking for him. Not that there’s any plans to get rid of the other as an inconvenient witness or anything, but that’s something the other boy can’t know.
Rody could have gone without the forearm pat. First they linked arms and now that- touchy, isn't he? Rody dreaded the "we" that came from his mouth. He had expected Izuku to tag along, given the circumstances, even if he would really prefer him not to.
"Well, unlike you, I just worked a five hour shift and would rather not fly for two hours in these clothes." It wasn't a lie. But it wasn't the reason he wanted to go home. He could have put up with staying in these clothes, but no way was he going to bring up his siblings. So now he was going to have to change. "Let's get going." Rody promptly left the alley, keeping Pino out of sight as he led the way.
Once they were a block away from the trailer park he lived in, Rody came to a stop, gaze landing on his partner. "...Can you at least wait here for like ten minutes? You should understand my caution of not letting a stranger know where I live, right?"
“Nothing.”
“No small pink birds here whatsoever.”

*very slowly hides Pino out of sight*
“Uwa–whatcha got there?”
He gave a shrug and a smirk in response. "They're respectful, for the most part. Some exceptions." Guess the curiosity got the best of some individuals. At least they wouldn't steal anything; wouldn't make sense to.
"Of course of course, thank you for joining me." Rody's eyebrows shot up at the bluntness before laughing softly as he glanced down at Pino. "She likes you too." He took a bite of his half of the croissant as Pino made her way even closer to the hero, looking up at her. "You can pet her if you want." Rody mumbled while covering his mouth since he was chewing.
Rody scratched at his cheek, a bit flustered by the praise. "I've got a long journey ahead of me to become one so it means a lot to hear that, Uraraka. Thank you." Studying this kind of stuff was frustrating sometimes, but that's how life was. He would keep pushing through until he reached his dream. Now that he was on this new path in his life, he wasn't getting off it.
"I could get us another one to split. Half of one isn't a very fulfilling snack." Uraraka did sound hungry after all.
