Aaaaaaah! I'm really curious about a lot of things, but if you'd rather avoid answering some feel free. First, what are Shigaraki's thoughts on Izuku? Because if I were Shigaraki I would be truly terrified of Izuku and what he's accomplished, because how is it that a boy, a peasant, has achieved that level of influence with his knights, knights who are supposed to legally serve the King, and they left him escape?? And how did he manage to get Katsuki, the boy he's molded since childhood, to turn against him, something that hadn't happened before his arrival. This speaks to two things that Shigaraki is going to have to think about, one that Izuku is a danger to his position and two, it shows how fragile his influence is.
Second, what did Himiko feel when she saw Izuku pull out Blackwhimp? What I mean by that is, was she scared or did she see something the others didn't? Since she tried to divert attention from Izuku and the others. Although maybe it's simply because she didn't want them to find out.
Finally, something that's been on my mind. When you write the interactions between Izuku and Katsuki, do you think Izuku replicates Katsuki's little tics and gestures? and vice versa. Since they both had pretty lonely childhoods.
Oh! And I almost forgot, I wanted to recommend a song that reminded me of the boys, it's called "Impacto" form 'Enjambre' because this is the first verse:
"Those crossed arms
And that angry frown
Have me intrigued
You intimidate me, what do I do?
And if you take one step, you make me cry
And if you walk any further, I'm going to hit the ground"
IT'S LITERALLY THEM! ššš
Also this is me š, after reading about Izuku living Camelot šš„ŗš
Another fun ask from youuu 𤩠my day is made.
On Shigarakiās thoughts on Izuku:
lemme tell you rn, that man did not even KNOW Izukuās name for the majority of the fic.
BUT. And itās a big but.
Even before chapter 20, Shigaraki absolutely HATES Izuku. Because he still remembers being immobile and having Izuku clothe and feed him (before he completely succumbed to hellebore). Imagine: this prideful man having his entire life in the hands of this⦠boy. Who he later finds out saved him. Even if Himiko did nothing in chapter 20, he would have found a way to get rid of Izuku out of sheer spite. Now this is made 100x worse by the events of chapter 20. Izuku stands up to him because he knows that Himiko and Katsuki donāt have the strength to, but by doing so he gives them the strength that Shigaraki stole from them. And shigaraki would see it as theft: theft of allegiance, theft of his knights, of his power. Yeaaaa he wants to beat that boy up.
By the end of act 2 Shigaraki doesnāt have his closest advisors, his knightsā loyalty, his fated trump card (Katsukiās) love, and the daughter he is obsessed with (Himiko): all seemingly leading back to Izuku. He is completely exposed and therefore canāt think strategically. Heās thinking emotionally, basically begging his knights back.
(Also, Izuku was about to kill that man LOL so itās reciprocated).
Re: Himikoās thoughts on seeing black whip:
so glad someone asked bc I have Feelingsā¢. Imagine youāre Himiko and you have exactly ONE second to reprocess every single interaction you have had with Izuku with this new, very crucial piece of information. Every time Izuku comforted her about her powers, or confronted her. Every time he let her feel like she was alone. But also every time HE was alone, and didnāt confide in her. I think she felt very conflicted, bc there was so much to think about (and in this moment SHE feels sorry for HIM, just as he did for her), but also he was about to lose control.
In the end, I donāt think she forgave Katsuki and Izuku for saving Shigaraki. But, instinctively she stopped Izuku from killing him and saved Shigaraki (why? Iāll leave that up to interpretation).
(For funsies I like to think what wouldāve have happened if Izuku DID kill Shigaraki, in front of everyone. And Katsukiās reaction during and after: in the knowledge that his friend just killed someone, and Izuku did it for HIM. Hehhehe so fun, bc Katsuki would ofc stick by him).
Re: Izuku imitating Katsuki,
OMGGG yes, I totally think he does! I hope to bring this out more in the separation as a form of missing someone, and wanting to feel close to them. I think tics and mannerisms are right, but also deeper personality mirroring. Izuku was extremely passive before Camelot, but I think by being around Katsuki heās become passionate, assertive and more confident.
And the song rec!! Iāve listened to the song before but just to vibe. And oh my god, when I translated the lyrics it hit me in the chest. It is just soooooo them, thank you for recommending! Going on my golden slumbers playlist ASAP.
Iāll give you a rec in return: although I donāt have a specific song that is my fave, I loveee Florence + the Machine for this fic: the general whimsical, fairy tale vibe is sooo on point. Her song My Boy Builds Coffins inspired the boat conversation between BKDK in chapter 16.
I totally forgot I'm Bi HAHAHA. I love the image, I'm going to show it to everyone so they know what happens if they don't respect bisexuals
HAPPY BI VISIBILITY DAY TO EVERY SINGLE BISEXUAL OUT THERE ššš
heās only had his turtles for like a week but if anything happens to them he will kill everyone in this room and then himself

Izuku felt his eyes bulge. Suspended in disbelief, he wanted to laugh. In fact, Izuku couldnāt help but think that this prophecy sounded like complete and utter bullshit.

Leo looks so haunted by that nightmare. Each of his brothers died and he couldnāt beat the the demon that did it.
I've finally formed a thought that's been bugging me since the spoilers came out.
And that is the Eyes of Afo.
We can responsibly assume, based on Dr. Garaki's words, that Afo has some real (his own) eyes (and voice and smiling face).
And now we can assume that the current eyes - without color and pupil - are not his real eyes.
Earlier I had assumed that they were, of course, a quirk. For disguise, for a more appropriate image of the Demon King. But also don't forget that the Eyes are the mirror of the soul. And the most likely thing is that Afo wouldn't want anyone to look into his soul and know what's going on there. And the role of the Demon King does not imply the presence of a soul.
But then how and when did it happen? Surely we have met these eyes before in chapter 193, the anime version gave us the āredā eye color characteristic of the Villain.
I would like to say that in the early years Afo had a normal human eye with a pupil, but in profile, unfortunately, we can't see whether there is a pupil or not. But since Afo, as the composition then shows us, is among humans - it is logical to assume that the eyes would be pupilless - soulless eyes. Or maybe not; maybe there is a pupil here, but it just merges with the shadow, like Izuku's here, for example.
And based on that, we can already conclude that Afo's familiar eyes are a quirk. And perhaps the sight of real eyes was only available to a select few - Yoichi as his brother, and Doctor Garaki as his personal doctor.
But from the Doctor's words about Afo's real appearance, we can also conclude that Afo hasn't taken his real appearance for a long time. A very long time.
And I daresay that this switch to āpermanent villain eyesā was at or about the time of Yoichi's death.
The composition is constructed so that Afo looks up at the Second, and we cannot see whether there is a pupil in his eyes.
However, we are further accentuated precisely by the eye, and we can see irregularities around the edge of the iris - as if the iris ring is subject to some kind of interference. And the eye becomes what we see in Afo's restored face and when Afo takes control of Tomura's consciousness.
And as a result: On the day that Afo is confronted with the Second's death - defying audacity, which is like saying that Afo will never win and get what he wants, (maybe Yoichi had just died before that point - covering his friend from a fatal blow, for example, or Afo realized that OFA's quirk with Yoichi's vestige had already been passed on to another person - which means his last chance to get his brother back was disappearing right before his eyes), Afo and lost the self he was with Yoichi, locked the real him deep in his soul, and he's been smiling ever since. And the smile doesn't reach his eyes.
i've read one too many fics about leo not making it back from the prison dimension
hi! i saw your critique of tmnt 2012 and i was wondering where you got your info? or where i could learn more ig
sorry im just really curious!
There's no problem in asking!
a lot of my info comes from my own personal experience and understanding of martial arts! I started practicing the bo staff and learned some of the basics but also I was a black belt in tae kwon do!
Studying fighting styles and martial arts in general is not only a personal passion of mine but is also a part of my career as an action board artist. Watching tournaments and listening to fellow martial artists as well as how other people portray this information in media is a fun study along with psychology for me.
As an animator, when I made those critiques about how the characters fight, it was out of person frustration with the incorrect representation and also using gimmicks of fighting that aren't... useful. ever. (I will forever hate 2012 donnie being portrayed as weak when his weapon is a staple of martial arts FOR A REASON!!) but I also want to point out that they made that show in a time when more action-oriented shows were starting to gain attention. Anime helped influence a lot of 2012's mannerisms but because the show was done in 3D, that creates a LOT of limitations.
Most of my knowledge on the subject is from self-studying for YEARS, personal training with a master, and my job. I know quite a few martial artists who watched 2012 actually reached out to me in shock that they always felt the action in the show was a bit off and didn't realize until I pointed out the flaws. You don't always see this sort of thing a lot of the time but when a nerd who focuses a lot of their brain on action (like me) comes around and points it out, it can help you process what's going on and WHY something doesn't work.
when it comes to studying action, I would suggest watching your favorite action movies and figure out why something did or didn't work from a narrative or visual perspective. A great example of some of the best action I've seen in a directed movie, is Jackie Chan's movies. He, himself, is a martial artist and for most of those movies he directed them HIMSELF. the reason why avatar the last airbenders action was so good is because they had a professional martial artist on set, 24/7, helping them with moves and directing the board artists. I'm gonna leave two videos I HIGHLY recommend you watch if you wanna understand this stuff more in depth, there's a ton of stuff about action and what works and doesn't in a cartoon or show that is so important to my specific craft~
Hope this helps some!!
(sorry for the long post jsdhfjskd im very passionate about action~)
and thank you for the question!! I would love to talk action more with you guys~ so long as you ask legit questions and are not rude, I will answer them to the best of my ability :3

This is so cute, I always loved the dynamic between Leo 2012 and Miguel Angel 2012. while Leo finds Mickey endearing and Mickey finds Leo a comforting and safe place.
