Slight Batman Au, Where Batman Is Only So Serious During Justice League Meetings And At The Watchtower

Everyone always says stuff like "oh Jason was touch starved" or "Nico's touch starved" but I give u this take:

Reyna is touch starved.

She's the leader of a Roman camp, so she probably isn't overly close to anyone and she probably has no one she trusted enough to help her.

So Reyna probably refuses to let people hug her or touch her because she's scared of getting hurt, and the only person she trusts is her sister Hylla, and then it grew to include Nico because you know trauma bonding and all that

Even if she learns to trust people the only 2 persons she'll allow herself to fall asleep around are Hylla and Nico because she trusts them to protect her.

And she's definitely a clingy sleeper, so if she falls asleep around either of them, or either of them are there, she would cuddle them because she felt safe.

If she's sick she would definitely refuse to get help and just keep working herself to death until her sister came and just. Kinda. Pulled her into a hug, and Rey would just melt against her because she's her sister and shit, and all the legionaires would be shocked as Reyna doesn't like people hugging her.

One of my favorite variations on the “Justice League Meets the Batfam” trope is the one where Dick, as Nightwing, joins the Justice League and makes Bruce suffer for it. Nightwing is unaffiliated with Batman so for all anyone knows Nightwing at most someone copying Batman’s philosophy in the neighboring city. More likely neither of them have ever spoken before. Bruce has to pretend like he doesn’t know His Son who is running around with the League. Dick is having a grand ole time being just a liiiiitle too familiar with Batman, not enough to blow their covers immediately but enough to make people confused and Bruce grumpy. Everyone thinks Batman is in the process of literally planning the murder of their new team member meanwhile Dick is in the Batcave getting yelled at about secret identities. He is clearly not listening to the lecture. Steph is behind Bruce mimicking his speech and acting innocent whenever he turns around. It’s great.

I see a lot of “Bruce accidentally uses his Batman Voice during a regular business meeting and freaks everyone out” but I haven’t seen much of this trope’s counterpart: “Batman acidentally zoning out durnig another JL meeting and when he’s asked a question responds with his Brucie persona and freaks everyone the FUCK out”

Touch-starved whumpee who doesn’t know how to ask for comfort

- Whumpee who grows up being denied or ridiculed for their need of affection. Eventually, Whumpee learn to just stop asking because they will never get what they want and will most likely be punished for daring to ask.

- Whumpee who are wary of being open or vulnerable to their teammates because their guardians or the people they grow up with see vulnerability as a weakness. Whumpee has been so conditioned that they are not allowed to ask for comfort so they just close off and deal with it themself. And their teammates don’t know they are truly struggling because they have learned to conceal it so well.

- Whumpee who is taught to not be “selfish” (read: to not ask for anything), so they just don’t ask because they don’t want to bother their teammates.

- Whumpee who takes on the role of a caretaker and put their own needs for comfort aside so they can listen to teammate A’s family issues or be the big spoon because teammate B likes to be the small spoon. They see their touch starvation as something trivial themselves, because their teammates need their touch more and Whumpee can handle themself.

- Whumpee who just melts into someone embrace, soaking up all they can get. Whumpee who hides their disappointment and the feeling of emptiness when the arms inevitably let go and they are alone again.

- Whumpee who is too shy to ask, and is a bit closed off and by themself that people think they don’t like to be touch.

- Whumpee who is very selective about whose touch they want, but has to take any physical comfort they can get because they don’t have any other option.  

Slight au

Since Circe was a sorceress and could do magic & shit, and Reyna was at Circe's Island aswell, Reynard could've technically learnt magic there.

What if Reyna had learnt magic with Circe, but it was just very hard to control and very dangerous, so she can only do it with Hylla ( who was older at the time and so had better control of the magic)

Imagine Hylla visiting Camp Jupiter and forcing Reyna to use the magic she hasn't used in years, slowly building up in power .

Imagine Reyna just being tired of Legionarres and turning them into animals by accident, or when everyone is shouting in a senate meeting - silencing everyone without realising.

Billionaire brothers au

Imagine Bruce and Oliver having terrible insomnia because they had been kidnapped alot as kids, and had been in alot of danger. So, neither of them can sleep unless they feel safe, either surrounded by the kids or eachother.

Imagine after a long mission, neither of them have been sleeping during it as they hadn't felt safe, both of them just curling up next to eachother in civies on the long flight home without thinking.

It would shock the JL, as Bruce is always serious around them, and also because of how young they are (22-23). Also I imagine that Bruce has long curly hair which he normally has up, but is just scattered around him. So Bruce and Ollie just sleep properly for the first time in days while the team just try their best to stay away from them because they don't know what's going on.

Imagine after weeks of solving problems, and after an invasion from mind controlling aliens (where the whole JL but Bruce and Ollie got mind controlled) they just end up falling asleep instantly.

Or after one of them had a tough week they'd just comfort eachother like they've always done, one just walking over to the front of the other and wrapping their arms around the other and hiding from the world against them, both of them holding eachother automatically. I think it would just shock the JL, especially if it was Bruce who just walked up to Ollie and tucked himself against him, Ollie automatically wrapping his arms around B without thinking.

I just love the thought of Bruce and Ollie shocking the JL by acting like themselves due to knowing eachother for so long, and the justice league is absolutely confused half the time as they act like they hate eachother in meetings when it's just that they know eachother so well and both hate it when they act infront of others.

There is only one laundry in hermitcraft and it is at spawn. Xisuma set it up because he needed a way to politely inform the other hermits that they really need to wash their clothes, just so he'll be able to take off his helmet with the filtration systems.

And just as predicted, the clothes all got mixed up. There are several people who own lab coats, so they just get swapped around (although everyone ensures that Doc gets the torn one before he wrecks someone else's coat). The shirt situation is hopeless.

Grian's red sweater and Stress's entire wardrobe are a constant threat to the non-pinkness of any other article of clothing on the server. Jevin's clothes are probably a biohazard. TFC's has enough dust from the mines to clog up the machines twice in a week, while Tango has enough gunpowder on his that it became a genuine concern that the pipes might blow up during the drying cycle. Rendog barely stops Wels from chucking an entire suit of armor into a washing machine, but then proceeds to overfill the drum with the outfits from all of his alter egos. Etho starts running a 'Lost and Found' where he threatens to sell other hermits' clothing to someone else.

After a month, most of the hermits have given up (or ran out of diamonds for Etho) and accepted their fate. Impulse and Joe had accidentally swapped shirts, and Joe begins to rid himself of the @ branding to embrace the i, while Impulse has an existential crisis over the idea of changing his name. On the other hand, Cleo and Cub have swapped their clothes and neither of them were bothered, since it was still pretty much a crop top and shorts either way.

All of the suits on the server are now mismatched, or very pink. It is now a reoccuring joke that if you manage to get the mayor's clothes and sash, you'll own the diamond throne. Inside the now-abandoned lost-and-found, there are a lot of unclaimed Mumbo for Mayor t-shirts lying about, and the pile appears to be multiplying, or at least growing taller by the day. It might be sentient at this point or contain some sort of mutated fungus, but nobody dares to clean it up. Why is it making a hissing sound?

Xisuma admits defeat when he walks into a Hermitcraft meeting, only to find just about everyone wearing one of X's costumes that they had stolen from the laundry. Keralis does rock the Reporter Beesuma suit though, he can keep it.

This entire thing was such an entertaining read, thank you for this lovely mental image...I just can't stop thinking about the conversations that would happen as a result of this!

"Are you paying attention?" Miss Peregrine snaps, she's my history teacher. But the problem is, she's gorgeous and im gay.

"Yes ma'am. I'm paying attention." I respond, her green eyes boring me. Her black hair is in a bun, there's only a few bits of hair it from the wrong hair. Her hair amazes me, the way the bits of blue show in the sun.

After a few seconds she turns back to the board. We're currently learning about 1940. She's always so knowledgeable it's amazing. Her black button up, and skirt. I can't help zoning out into a daydream. Which I'm knocked out of by the bell.

"Miss y/n. Stay behind please." She sounds slightly frustrated, which is terrifying. "Yes ma'am." I still place everything into my bag so I'm ready to leave.

After the last student files out she focuses her attention on me. I'm still in my seat which makes her look taller than me, and oh lord. "Yes miss?" I ask uncertainly, I'm not sure why I'm here, well not a definite reason. "Because miss y/n. I want to talk about you paying attention more. You've been distracted off in la la land. And i need you to focus on class." Her voice sounds so h- professional. So i nod and look down. "I'll let you off this time, but I want your attention Monday, you hear me? Now go on" She finishes. "Yes ma'am."

I'm rushing down the halls, her class is the last of the day. So I go out looking for Jacob. Jacob is one of my best friends. Finally finding him I call out; "Jacob! Wait up!" I wave out to him and he looks over smiling. "Hey y/n, wanna come to my place this weekend?" He offers, he's my friend because he's the only person who's genuinely been my friend without trying to get in my pants. And so I agree.

One hour later

Knocking on his front door I readjust my bag on my shoulder. He offered to have a gaming sleepover. And of course I said hell yea. But when I tell you the last thing I expect happened, it did. And that's when my teacher, Miss Peregrine opened the door.

"Oh hi, Miss? Uhm, what are you doing here?" I'm nervous and it definitely showed on my face. "Because dear, I live here." Oh. Oh my lord. For one, she just called me dear. And two, I'm about to have a sleepover in my teacher crushes house. "Oh? I wonder why Jacob didn't mention you?" I laugh as if it's a light joke. "Well he mentioned you. Come in dear, he's upstairs in his room."

I've never gone up a set of stairs so fast. I burst into if room and in a panicked whisper ask; "Why the hell didn't you tell me Miss. Peregrine lives with you?!" He looks confused for a second before laughing. "I totally forgot that crush you have on-" He's suddenly cut off with a amused look on his face. "Crush on who?" I feel my stomach drop at the familiar voice. I still jump slightly in surprise. "Anyways, I need to talk to you Miss y/n."

I take a deep breath and turn to follow her. She walks at a reasonable pace while I follow. She finally turns into a random room and looks to me as I follow her in. She then closes and locks the door behind me. And to my surprise, she kisses me.

I'm so taken by surprise I stiffen. Her hands are on my face and her lips on my lips. And after a second, I melt into her. Her lips taste like coffee. And she smells like roses and the ocean. And when she pulls away I already miss her. "I've known you liked me since the beginning. You don't zone out dreamily staring at someone you hate." She whispers then kisses me again.
