Yk that scene where miles-1610 says ‘you don’t have to be the prowler’ and aaron-42 says ‘I’m not’ and we cut to a shot of miles-42? It sprung up from that. In dc (yes this is turning into a slight crossover) there’s a gang called the red hoods and I remember laughing at one point because Jason Todd as a child said he’d never be a red hood (in rhato- pre rebirth I think) so like imagine a scene where a Jason Todd from another world (in the place of miles-1610) is talking to a Willis Todd and saying like ‘you don’t have to be a red hood’ and we have a shot of the red hood/jason todd like does someone see my vision?

Hello I have a desire to talk to a normal person for a bit because literally most of my friends and myself go to a private school and it’s like fuck you mean lunch is lamb falafel or roast gamon? What? And like the more I look at my life I go what the fuck guys? (Also most of their only knowledge of the current situation comes through heavily conservative parents and I would not trust them not to vote tory) so like ??? What do I do ?? Because they do the subjects I want to do for a level there for sixth form but I could also go be among normal people at the college in town at the cost of English lit a level and a mean asf chem a level teacher and I’m getting very off topic so hello can we interact please lol?

every gothamite and I mean EVERY gothamite could figure out who the bats were in an instant if they tried. However there is a rule of plausible deniability in Gotham. You saw a vigilante take of their mask and might recognise their face? I’m afraid your eyes were hurt in the last Rogue attack. You heard them slip up and use real names instead of code names? Yeah, your headphones are definitely noise cancelling, you heard NOTHING.

Idk this just feels so fun like imagine a situation where a vigilante accidentally crashes into a gothamite’s residence and does something that could expose them (loose a mask, say a real name etc) and the gothamites just there like. Nah. I heard nothing. I saw nothing. I’m saying nothing.

however this intense (and warranted) protection leads to misunderstandings between Gotham and other cities. A few examples follow:

Gotham thoughts: they brought a knife to our date? They must want me to know they’re ready to protect me! I mean I can protect myself but it’s super sweet!

anyone else: why do they have a knife?! Should I be worried?!

and continuing that with a gas mask (they want to make sure I have an updated one for when I need it!/are they planning a gas attack or in league with someone bad?!) and so many other stuff is the reason the Gotham residents, heard wearing but sweethearts have such a bad rep. That and the people who have been ‘hung out for the bats’

I will always defend Ao3 for this don’t anyone give me ‘but they’re just not as good’ yes they are and I will die on this hill
