Hello, I am kareman Dohan, a Palestinian mother 🍉and educator for generations🧑🏫. I am writing this letter to you feeling a state of sadness and grief🥹, after the war on Gaza completely destroyed our lives. I was working as a teacher for children, 🥹but the school was destroyed and I lost my job.😭😭😭 My husband was a fisherman, but the fishing boat, which was our only source of livelihood, was badly damaged and did not return.💔💔 Usable. My young son, Hamoud, suffers from malnutrition due to the lack of food and the polluted water we drink😭. My husband, Ayman Alwan, and I are trying with all our might to survive, but the situation has become too much for us to bear. My son Hamoud needs care, treatment and food😭😭😭💔. Please, the situation here is catastrophic. Bombs fall on our heads all the time. It's terrifying here. As you know, the war began on October 7 and lasted ten months. During this period, we were unable to obtain food, drink, or treatment because we did not have money.
There is no source of income for the family at the present time, so we are unable to buy food, clean water, and medicine, especially after we are afflicted with the ongoing infectious diseases spread in the north like Hepatitis C disease.
Our house has been damaged a lot since the beginning of the war. We are from the north of Gaza and we are still in the north and have not displaced to the south. We displaced 10 times from place to another seeking to safety .

In the fifth month of the war, I gave birth to my first child in difficult circumstances and lack of medical facilities in the hospital. I was evacuated from the hospital two hours after giving birth and did not receive full health care. I went to our tent where we live until now. There was no bed for me or my child to sleep in. I faced great difficulty at that time due to the lack of water, the lack of cleanliness of the place and the harmful insects. Now that the war is in its 12th month and my child is 7 months old, I am still suffering the same and I afraid of my child’s dehydration as there is no milk for children or diapers and I afraid of diseases and pollution.
