So, previously I had all pages set to 90 lpi at 45 degrees, but suddenly CSP has decided it won't go higher than 85 lpi and the materials downloads that I'd gotten for higher lpi aren't working. I had to reconfigure the lpi and degree for the screentones, so these and subsequent pages may look slightly different.
I like CSP, but some of the functions remain a mystery to me. Either the available translated instructions/English guides aren’t detailed enough for me, or I’m trying to do things in such a weird, sideways approach, there aren’t instructions applicable to my problems.

NOW AVAILABLE AS A PDF!
Several people contacted me about getting a digital version of my “Couple’s Therapy” comic, as the cost of shipping for the hard copy was prohibitive.
So you can now get this as a PDF download, for half the price of the hard copy, and no shipping!

I'm hoping to make some of my original comix available as PDFs too. This is the first time I've done the digital purchase/download option, so I appreciate any feedback or notification if anyone runs into problems with the files.

This piece came about as an attempt to visually depict how I experience music. Possibly due to my Autism, I do not seem to listen to/experience music the way other people I have discussed this topic with experience music. I recognize that there is an underlying meter, a rhythm, a beat, that allows a person to "follow the music;" the beat is also what people follow when they dance. I can force myself to identify and follow a beat, but it requires significant concentration on my part, is not what comes naturally to me, and is not how I enjoy listening to music. My attention often skips back and forth between different sounds, following the bass sounds for several moments because I enjoy that specific section, then switching focus to the crescendo of a violin, to the sound of the singer's voice, the drums, back to violin, bass, voice, a new sound.
By connecting colors, patterns, and material to specific aspects of a musical piece, I have attempted to create a depiction of my experience of the music.
(I also decided to leave the edges of the different photos I took, to give an impression of the number of images needed to create a decent representation of this weaving.)

Anonymous said: I just met you and I already love you?? Your comics are so deep, I want to be an artist and you’re kinda giving me hope I can be happy with that :)
Thank you! Being able to inspire someone in their own art is on of the best things to hear. I wish you the best in your art-making. My advice (which I should listen to myself about) is to be understanding and kind to yourself. Art-making, even when it’s done spontaneously and just for fun, is a learning process. It’s taken years and years of practice, at least 5 of those years in the context of art schools, for me to make art the way I do. And I still want to learn more and change my art and I still get frustrated with it! So if you hit a stumbling block in your art, don’t give up!
Anonymous said: Would you do something with the KOTH character John Redcorn..?
I hadn’t really considered doing something with John Redcorn. If an idea came to me, I might do a comic.
Anonymous said: Honestly it’s time to kill off Peter and Homer or cancel both of the shows.
I’m biased, so I’d be fine with Family Guy being gone forever and Simpsons re-runs.
Anonymous said: Your comic about Bobby being a therapist to B*** and C**** is literally my favorite comic of all time, I’m always happy to see it on my dash, thanks for making it it’s incredible
Thank you! :D

Anonymous said: i just wanted to say i still really love your comic where bart simpson and chris from family guy are being counseled by bobby hill. its a great piece of media
Thank you! It’s so weird to realize that comic is like... four years old.
Anonymous said: Hi there!! I followed u a year or so back bc of the bart/Chris therapy comic, and was wondering if you deleted the follow up comics u made ? I can’t seem to find them anywhere :0c
Weird! They should be right here: https://panic-volkushka.tumblr.com/post/146046796495/its-here-a-hard-copy-version-of-my-comic
My scanner is morally opposed to my use of highlighter markers and my camera phone is only a bit better.
A trilogy of night shift doodles in my teeny tiny moleskine.
A fellow artist once told me "I thought you were drawings hands wrong, but I realized that you were drawings hands that look like your hands."
I guess my hands are a bit odd. Most of the joints on my fingers are hyperextended. Most people's fingers taper, with the fingertip being the narrowest. My fingertips are actually wider and fleshier than the rest of my finger joints.
