Daphne’s Intervention

AN: I didn’t write an actual intervention because I don’t have enough experience with them. This also has no intention to be anything but a ‘check in’ for Daphne to improve her behavior.

Daphne knew something was up. Her parents were acting differently and everyone seemed to be tiptoeing around her. She noticed Zach’s jet pulling in, and knew something was up. Out walked Zach and Violet, looking solemn. Gourmand was in video call, something was going on and Daphne could guess what it was. She knew for sure when she was called into the ‘fancy’ living room, something they only ever used if there was something serious happening. As she sat down, her family started explaining how to use the internet in a healthy way. Daphne didn’t really care at first but she actually learned a lot, and felt much better about everything after the talk was over. Her family loved her, really, and their opinions and her own were more important than the trolls online. Daphne decided that she would take a small break from social media, and start doing other hobbies, once she found them. Her grades were also awful, so maybe this tutoring thing isn’t such a bad idea. It could be nice to spend more time with the Varmitechs, she would never admit it, but it gets lonely sometimes in the huge pink mansion, her parents aren’t around as much as she would like, and she doesn’t have any siblings that she sees often or are close in age. Vera was also super nice, and is a great role model for Daphne. 

Vallen would be lying if he said he wasn’t worried about Daphne. She had always been someone he really cared about, and to hear she was struggling made him so upset. He couldn’t believe that his parents wouldn’t let him go see her, they were friends!! He wasn’t dramatic, he didn’t know what they were talking about, plus he never said anything that wasn’t true, it was their problem if they didn’t want to listen to him. He was right pretty often. But when he was around Daphne, he got all tongue-tied and weird. It was a shocking feeling, considering he had never been like that with any of his boyfriends or girlfriends. Vera claimed that he had a crush on her, but Vera was totally wrong. Right?? Yeah she was pretty and outgoing, but she was in a relationship and so was he. He wasn’t the type of guy to hurt someone like that, they would have to both be single for it to happen. It would never happen. He was content with just being her friend. It seemed like he would be seeing more of her in the near future, Vera is going to start tutoring her in math and science. He couldn’t wait to see her roaming his house. Maybe he needed some tutoring too, it didn’t matter that his grades were excellent. Anything to spend time with her… But in a totally friendly way of course.

Donita and her now ex husband Henry were a ‘whirlwind romance’ getting married only 19 months after first meeting. Donita continues to hold resentment towards Henry for being a bad husband and father when they were married and letting Daphne down throughout her life. Henry holds a lot of guilt towards Donita and especially Daphne, causing him to pull away from her even more and strain their relationship more. Henry was very concerned about Dabio’s relationship with Donita and was completely convinced they were having an affair despite both of them repeatedly denying it. In the beginning, Daphne resented Dabio for ‘breaking up her family’ and refused to speak to him. But, as time went on, Daphne realized that Dabio was not the reason for her parent’s divorce and began to talk to him more, learning they were quite similar.

First Post ~ Introduction

Hello everyone! I’m Octoqueen and I've been ‘lurking’ on this Tumblr for a while now so I figured its time to introduce my self insert, Daphne Donata, Donita’s only daughter.

 She’s nineteen and an influencer/model of her mother’s designs. Her parents got divorced when she was seven, and her father is distant from her, opting to live with his new wife and children, who do not get along with Daphne. Donita is very close to her daughter and supports her, learning about the internet and how to further her own company through her daughter’s social media and the internet. Dabio is the father figure Daphne never had. They are extremely close and Daphne views him as her ‘real’ father, coming to him for any advice. Daphne has always had an infatuation with being famous, with her mother being a fashion designer and her father being a famous musician, but she wanted to be something new and different, starting up an Instagram account and quickly amassing new followers through her fashion reviews/runway looks and her travels around the world with her mother.

Daphne's realtionship with the show's other villains

Zach: Daphne views Zach as one of her mother’s closest friends, and almost thinks of him as an ‘uncle’, often seeking him out for things her own mother wouldn't agree to. Daphne has always been fascinated with Zach’s inventions, particularly the Invisibility Cloak, asking him questions about them until he kicks her out. Her relationship with Zach is probably the most developed of the villains (Minus Dabio and Donita) because he has been in Daphne’s life the longest, being one of her mother’s closest friends and business partners.

Gourmand: Daphne isn’t as close to Gourmand as she used to be, mainly due to clashes about Daphne’s career and obsession with fame. He doesn’t see her job as ‘real’ work due to it being almost completely online, something Gourmand is not very adept with, and worries about her need to be famous. His struggles are rooted in love for Daphne, but his ways of showing his love can seem dismissive to Daphne, causing a rift in their relationship. Daphne still knows deep down that Gourmand cares for her and she can go to him whenever she needs.

Paisley (and Rex): Daphne has only met Paisley 3 times in her life, and has never met Rex, so her opinions on her are not really formulated yet, but, she thinks they could become close friends due to their penchant for sarcasm. Daphne wants to get closer to Paisley and eventually meet Rex, but is worried she will not be able to get the opportunity, due to her opting to officially join the Wild Kratts. Donita on the other hand, is starting to develop a relationship with Paisley, which Daphne is over the moon about, due to more opportunities to run into each other and a genuine female friendship for her mother.

María: *with a towel on Razo's head* you shouldn't play in the garden, you know that

Razo: I'm sorry Maria...*scolded*

María: well, nothing happens, go with Hasper and * watch the wolf leave * uff and that pumpkin was for lunch. Or well, I'll use it for compost

*Bell ring*

Maria: huh!? Did they arrive so early? *surprised* Hello, put the Husky mantle on the others.

Hello: yes, don't worry

María: agh and I still haven't finished preparing the food or setting up the table outside *goes to open the door* Chris *surprised* and the rest? *leans over to look outside and sees no one*

Chris: no, I'm alone, I wanted to come help you *scratches the back of his neck nervously*

María: ah, very good, he comes in * takes him by the hand and shows him in *

Zach: very good, this is the plan * with a ruler he points to a drawing that she made * we will kidnap the girl from Ureña so that the green boy can rescue her and they can fall in love with her and be happy

Donita: mh...and how are we going to kidnap her?

Gourmound: Yes, from what we saw, she has two dogs. As soon as they see what we are doing, they will alert her.

Zach: but they already saw us before, surely her simple minds will think that we are visiting friend, plus we could use Donita to convince her that she comes

Donita: and why me? I don't want to be surrounded by mud from the rain. Can't your wife go?

Zach: I don't want to involve her in this, Martin is very aggressive with these issues, and didn't you want to be her godmother? You have to get to know and become friends with the bride, right?

Donita: Yes, but I thought I would meet her when she was already here, what if Gourmound is better off with her dog? They are both dog owners, it could help.

Gourmound: I didn't bring it with me, although you could also use a Zachbot or two for this and they wouldn't even notice

Donita: I like that plan

Zach: ugh well, then... I'll send a Zachbot to catch the girl when they are distracted with something, then we make a call saying that we have her, Chris arrives, defeats us as always and rescues her, they fall in love and are happy, okay ?

*the two villains nod*

Zach: Perfect, let's get started!

Martin: Where is Chris?

Aviva: left early to go help Maria

Martin: ah... *serious* just when he had to talk to him about something

Aviva: they can do it later

Martin: *takes a deep breath* okay, I'll walk a little while, let me know when you're gone *leaves*

Aviva: and now what's wrong with him? *looks at Jimmy and Koki who shake their heads

Koki: maybe it's brother jealousy, it's very normal

Hallo without taking his eyes off them: why wouldn't he be?

Kris: Everything's fine honey, we're just watching.

Pandy: haha, she'll be fine, they don't have to be so upset, and human Chris seems to be a good boy.

Kris: Chris human?

Pandy: that's what we decided to name it, Razo thought it was a good idea

Hello: ah, thanks for asking us, it was a nice detail

Pandy: ...guys, I know it's difficult, this situation is complicated for me too.

Hello: well you don't look *annoyed*

María:...*hangs her head* they thought it was sad but they said it was fine

Kris: Maria, I think I heard Hasper barking in the orchard.

Maria: In the garden! I have to go see! *it goes*

Chris: I'll help you *Hello, they stop him* eh?

Hello: calm down, human Chris, it was just a distribution

Martin: oh...this is bad *decides to go after them* don't worry María, I'll help you!

Zachbot: *turns around*....

Martin: *in fighting pose* you better let go of the girl oh. No, wait! *the Zachbot takes it too and they leave*

Maria/Martin: this is not fair! Aid!
