Kinda ironic and poetic to think despite being one his favorite quirks, AFO probably has no idea about spearlike bones being his mother's quirk.

Kinda Ironic And Poetic To Think Despite Being One His Favorite Quirks, AFO Probably Has No Idea About

I mean realistically he doesn't have any way to know it, but I think he has an unconscious sentimental connection with his mom quirk as corny it sounds.

His favoritism even seem made him collect quirks that resemble spearlike bones in look and functionality, such as Rivet Stab and one unknown "drills" quirk. Both used at the same time during his last battle with All Might btw.

Kinda Ironic And Poetic To Think Despite Being One His Favorite Quirks, AFO Probably Has No Idea About

Also how we can forget the fact spearlike bones is also the last quirk he ever used? (On his original body at least)

Kinda Ironic And Poetic To Think Despite Being One His Favorite Quirks, AFO Probably Has No Idea About

Horikoshi definitely knew what he was doing here. I can't help but think it's brillaint despite the whole story is far from perfect.

Yep, my dream interaction is Overhaul and Nine meeting each other and having an ideological war because both are opposite poles on that sense.

But at the same time they will have sort of a rivalry rather than being straight up enemies. They will find a common terrain and get some exchanges, because while different they can also be similar in some traits and find things they like from the other.

My reason for calling Overhaul the best Villain in the main series is because he's way more competent, driven and has a real threatening presence to him, compared to the other Villain Leaders.

AFO (Post Kamino) & Shigaraki aren't in his League.

They don't give off that feeling of dread. Shigaraki got AFO quirk to try and make him seem more imposing, but it wasn't enough since having a strong power isn't the only thing Overhaul had going for him.

AFO was decent until after his interrogation with All Might, where he became too comically evil for the sake of it (imo)

Re-Destro wasn't there for long but he did a ok job. The MLA did sell me as a competent group, considering the amount of money and connections they had. As well as their goal of free quirk use.

The only thing that was off was there belief of quirk supremacy, since the organisation's strength came from wealth and connections.

But other than that they were ok, it's too bad they were shoved to the side during the War.

Sorry for rambling

But yeah, that's my reason for Overhaul being the best Villain in MHA

Your reasoning for think that is almost the same as mine.

But also Overhaul ideals and objectives felt different and way more grounded in the sense it doesn't feel like he blames society for everything and his only answer is mindless destruction.

He actually persue change but in way that almost makes sense, and his mindset offers a very interesting perspective about quirks that this series always avoid to exploit. Like is funny how Horikoshi puts constant references to the doomsday theory being something very real, yet no one in verse tries to do something about it and any character who doesn't like quiks is treated as a crazy monster to invalidate their opinions.

Chisaki is also different to other villains in the sense that despite his life is pretty tragic he never gets victimized by the author, something I can appreciate because honestly the most annoying part about the LOV for example is how the story constantly pats them in the back and tries to pretend their are just victims when they passed that point long ago.

Kai on the other hand gets a treatment so harsh that makes me wonder if Horikoshi actually hates him with passion, because holy hell since his defeat Horikoshi really doesn't hold back on try to put him as miserable as possible and with no chance of improve his situation even a bit. It felt like a massive double standard when you see how much the LOV gets glazed.

Well... this kinda became a rant on my part, but I need to express it as Overhaul really deserved a way better treatment because in terms of villains he was the peak and MHA never had something similar again.

@bibibbon I was reading your post and thinking when you mentioned Mummy, and certainly is sad and disappointing that out of Nine's crew he was the one to get the short stick in terms of screentime and interactions with his own leader.

Such a cool looking villain with an awesome power shouldn't be treated like fooder.

@bibibbon I Was Reading Your Post And Thinking When You Mentioned Mummy, And Certainly Is Sad And Disappointing

But eh... I guess they really need give Bakugo an easy victory to show how badass he can be compared to the other loosers from the class.

Anyway, before getting absorbed by my hater side I can share my ideas about rewrite Mummy, because like his friends is fun write about him and fill the empty space left by the author.

Starting for his backstory:

This idea isn't entirely mine, but I love the concept of Mummy and Edgeshot being related.

@bibibbon I Was Reading Your Post And Thinking When You Mentioned Mummy, And Certainly Is Sad And Disappointing
@bibibbon I Was Reading Your Post And Thinking When You Mentioned Mummy, And Certainly Is Sad And Disappointing

Interesting to think because they share same birthdays, both their quirks have the aesthetic of red tape, they have grey hair and the names "Kamihara" and "Makihara" sound strangely similar.

I've seen people write them as twins, but I like more the idea of them having a big age gap in case of being brothers which fits more with Shinya being in his 30s in canon.

And so both Hoyo and Shinya being brothers born in a very traditional japanese family would make room for some family drama, as is more than probably that Shinya being the first born and with a quirk like foldabody would probably be seen as the pride of the family.

While Hoyo is seen as lesser and never able to live up to the level of his older brother, especially after Shinya got accepted at UA and started pay less attention to Hoyo.

While during his early childhood Hoyo only support was Shinya when he left the family state to focus on his studies Hoyo was alone with a family that never supported him and constantly remembered him how inferior he was.

Hoyo will reach a break point when his parents tried to get rid of him when he was entering on his teenage years, and he discovered they sold him to a mysterious organization that was looking for young low tier soldiers (which for some reason still happens in MHA world and nobody seem to care about it).

Note: This organizagion will be no other than the MLA but isn't really important for the story for now.

And so, without anything to lose since Shinya was long gone at that point, Hoyo escaped the family state and never came back. He also invented the false surname Makihara, as he didn't want anything to do with his family.

That would be the beginning of some rough years living in the streets for Hoyo.

Without proper studies (since he only got the basics at home instead of going to an actual school) and technically being a fugitive of his own family, Hoyo only could resort of stealing and other minor crimes for try to survive being homeless.

I imagine he also tried to gain some money doing dirty jobs for other criminals, which might be why we see him beating thugs in the street during the flashbacks.

@bibibbon I Was Reading Your Post And Thinking When You Mentioned Mummy, And Certainly Is Sad And Disappointing

That being said, this empty life style wasn't something Hoyo was happy about.

He still feel the necessity of prove himself and try to became something better, he was angry at the world and his family, and he also missed Shinya despite he didn't want to admit and prove his brother his worth.

Despite Hoyo's quirk still seemed to be quite useless as he couldn't do much with his puppets and give up at some point.

That was until he meet Nine...

@bibibbon I Was Reading Your Post And Thinking When You Mentioned Mummy, And Certainly Is Sad And Disappointing

My idea of how they meet is that Hoyo was hired to expulse Nine from the territory of a criminal gang that didn't like a homeless man like him was wandering in there.

Expecting just another quick job for a bit of cash Hoyo used his quirk with and old scarf to create a puppet out a vending machine, with he would use to intimidate the white haired man described by the gang.

Worse case scenario would be him having to beat the man in case he resists but isn't like he cared.

What Hoyo didn't expect is that when he meet the white haired man this one would have an aura of calm around him and rather than look intimidated by him or his puppet, he only got a glaze of interest coming from him.

@bibibbon I Was Reading Your Post And Thinking When You Mentioned Mummy, And Certainly Is Sad And Disappointing

"That... looks like a very powerful ability you got there" Nine commented very calmly looking at Hoyo like if he already knew everything from him.

Hoyo was a bit confused by the statement (and internally a bit intimidated by the way the white haired man seem look through him) but he only wanted to finish the job quickly as he was hungry and needed the money the gang offered.

So he tried to attack the white haired man with his puppet, but in the blink on an eye a small lightning bolt hit the puppet and make it explode.

Hoyo was pushed back by the explosion and the white haired man was still there with an unfazed expression.

"Not that powerful yet but..." Nine said looking at Hoyo "I can make it stronger" He said like it was a promise.

Nine then walk away and Hoyo tried to follow him without understand anything of what was happen, until they were almost in front of the gang hideout.

Hoyo observed how the white haired man rising one of his hands at the sky, and he didn't realize how suddlenly the dark clouds covered what until some moments was a very clear night.

A lightning bolt came from the sky and impacted the buildings Hoyo knew the gang used to hide, making the ground vibrate as they explode illuminating the night with the fire and the white haired man was stading there with the same bored expression as he that act of destruction was nothing for him.

Hoyo was totally speechless by that demonstration of power.

"I assume they won't represent a problem for you from now, I understand they wanted you to get me out of here so you don't have to worry for not get the job done" the white haired man said with the same calm Hoyo was used at that point.

For some reason it reminded him to someone else...

"Huh... and what do you want from me?" Hoyo replied rising his eyebrown tried to show more confidence that he actually felt "This kind of "favors" can't be for free"

"From you? Nothing..." Nine said plain and simple "Maybe offer you something, but first we should get out of here, he police and heroes can be annoying and they probably were alerted by my little spectacle" He said before walking out of the scene.

Hoyo didn't know why but he started walking behind the white haired man. There wasn't much to lose anyway...

"Are you hungry? Personally I am, so maybe we can get some food" Nine said after notice the young boy was following him.

Hoyo agreed on that, he really could get something to eat.

...

After all that happened Nine started to explain to Hoyo what his ideals and dream to change the world, a dream he really wanted to share with Hoyo for some reason.

Even if he didn't believe he meet the standards of power the white haired man claim to have, but Nine keep insisting on the potential of his quirk and how Hoyo was stronger than he realize and how wrong society was for overlook his true potential.

Not much time later Hoyo meet a friend of Nine, a really intimidating mutant who called himself Chimera and that name was fitting considering he was a mix of countless animals.

Hoyo found the guy to be quite charismatic and funny regardless of his loon however, and he was also very compromised to follow Nine's vision for the ideal world he evisioned.

And one day Nine also surprised Hoyo with a gift: a lot of red bandages that he notice were more resistant and powerful than anything he previously used to activate his quirk.

"Your power is greater than you think Hoyo, don't believe what the weakelings tried to make you think all your life. You can be better than them, you can fight for the world we deserve" Nine said in the most genuine way Hoyo ever heaf from someone.

And Hoyo really felt weak but also strong for equal reasons that moment, as never during his whole life he felt supported the way Nine made him to feel. Not his own blood family, not even Shinya, but this man who only wanted to give him and Chimera a better world to live.

Hoyo knew that moment that his life and heart belong to Nine and his cause forever, he give him a real family and home without even expect anything from Hoyo other than fight together like a team.

It motivated Hoyo to push himself and his quirk over the boundaries, training endlessly with the help of Nine and Chimera, so what once was the ability of control a single puppet quickly became the power of create armies of puppet soldiers thanks to the gift Nine give to him.

He even discovered an inhate talent with the sword, a gift courtesy of Chimera by the way.

Hoyo was poweful indeed, just like his friends believed.

But he also wanted a new identity as well, as his born name no longer felt something that represented who he was.

Then Hoyo became Mummy, and he used the bandages gifted by his leader to cover his body.

@bibibbon I Was Reading Your Post And Thinking When You Mentioned Mummy, And Certainly Is Sad And Disappointing

He felt safe and powerful like that.

Mummy finally meet himself that moment and knew who he really was.

...

P.S:

-Despite I make Shinya look like a careless and selfish brother in the backstory, I actually think later when he found what his parents did to Hoyo he resents them and felt totally guilty for not being there for his little brother. Edgeshot look for Hoyo during years hoping to find him someday and be a family again, he also keep his parents out of his life after what they did to Hoyo.

-I don't mention Slice here because I think she was the last one to join the team some time later than Mummy.

-While their age difference isn't actually that big, I like the idea of Mummy considering Nine a big brother figure and somehow filling the empty space left by Shinya.

You can't take sexist Dabi away from me!

But seriously I love the idea for multiple reasons, one of them being that is a direct response to the whole "lov are sjw" that lov fans love to circlejerk just to make them look more noble compared to the "problematic" characters like Endeavor or Overhaul especially.

Just think on Dabi having to share space with Toga after that makes it extra hilarious.

And another important reason is because as you know I ship DabiTen a lot, but here's a thing: I like Geten being a trans boy.

So the consequences of Dabi being super sexist but at the same time Geten being sort of the love of his life are fun because it will drive him mad for clash with his own beliefs. I imagine a situation in which Dabi tries to have sex with Geten, but when he found what Geten haves under his clothes it left him in shock.

Ah the sweet drama.

For some reason I think this is Dabi's favorite book ever:

For Some Reason I Think This Is Dabi's Favorite Book Ever:

Hahahahaha hahahahaha

Listen @nyc3 I do love some good old joke "Dabi is a sexist" but in canon...we don't see much to proof that. He was rude to his mom and sis one time ? Sure. He was under a fucked up situation as he knew why he was born.

Plus when he wakes up from the coma, he wanted to see his mother and sister.

Funny jokes

But don't think dabi is a sexist.

I haven't seen anyone commenting about something weird on how AFO is represented in the recent art by Horikoshi:

I Haven't Seen Anyone Commenting About Something Weird On How AFO Is Represented In The Recent Art By

That being the fact this is the "prime" version of him with his face restored, but wearing the final war outfit and maskless. Something clearly not possible in the story itself, as obviously that outfit was gone when he used rewind on himself for avoid die by the fire of Endeavor.

But the interesting part is that this isn't the first time Horikoshi draw AFO in this particular way, mixing his restored look with the purple jacket outfit.

The other time was in that cover in which he's facing Deku (a battle that never happened in the story, or at least not directly against his main body).

I Haven't Seen Anyone Commenting About Something Weird On How AFO Is Represented In The Recent Art By

In that other art AFO also has a unique look for his mask not being seen in the story, that looks vaguely like it was still broken and almost melted by Endeavor but pieced together again while still being red hot.

Also do you notice in neither of those arts AFO has the rewind effects over him? Considering it was the plot reason he recovered his face in the first place, is a bit weird that the art of Horikoshi doesn't present him being under rewind.

And yeah I know all this can be attributed to simple creative freedom and Horikoshi though mix both designs was cool or something.

But I can't help and make my theories about this.

Can these arts be a sort of "what if" scenario?

As I said before is interesting to remember that Deku never actually fight against AFO directly on his real body, they never even encouter each other in that state for that matter, they only interacted via ShigAFO.

So maybe Horikoshi at some point had a totally different display for the final battle? One that involved Deku vs AFO and a different use of rewind.

Considering in both arts "prime" AFO appears maskless with his outfit intact, I wonder if the real revelation moment when the heroes managed to destroy his new mask wasn't seeing his potato face, but he already got his face restored offscreen.

I Haven't Seen Anyone Commenting About Something Weird On How AFO Is Represented In The Recent Art By

Which could also explain why Horikoshi didn't drawn AFO with the rewind effects in the art. As probably the idea of him being on a time counter that will banish him wasn't originally part of the story and only was a leter addition.

So in this alternative scenario rather than go back to fight ShigAFO directly, Deku instead for some reason ends up in front of the original AFO and they have a real battle, just as it was represented in the cover art.

Don't know how the story should continue from that point, as it probably would change a lot more of how the rest of the final battle will play.

A detail people tend to overlook (cause the anime fucked up the timeline) is that Geten and Cider were introduced in the same chapter in the manga.

A Detail People Tend To Overlook (cause The Anime Fucked Up The Timeline) Is That Geten And Cider Were
A Detail People Tend To Overlook (cause The Anime Fucked Up The Timeline) Is That Geten And Cider Were

And Re-Destro speech juxtaposed with Cider presentation.

So we have this two boys of a similar age, both have water/ice based quirks, both have white/blue-ish hair, both have the same blue eyes, and we didn't know their real identity at first (and in Geten's case is debatable if that's his real name).

What a big coincide huh?

My theory of C.H leader being a lost Himura gets more and more crazy everytime I think about it.

I love the idea of Geten and Cider, who I call Mizunami Himura, being lost siblings. And by extensions the lost cousings of the Todorokis.

Tbh I think at that stage if Gojo knows about all the drama it could actually be detrimental for Geto's plan. He's not quite mature yet...

Which makes me wonder if Suguru would feel all that comfortable dating Gojo considering he would be an adult in the body of a teen again. You know despite he obviously still loves him and all seems rainbows and flowers at first, it probably would be a little akward situation realize everyone regresed to a past self but in Geto's case he has literally a life worth of experience.

I can see Suguru feeling a bit alone again for pretty different reasons.

My guess is probably he could request to talk with Tengen (I don't remember if they actually can do it all time but whatever) and ask him for more info on Kenjaku and such. He probably would be one of the only (if not the only) persons to understand Suguru position with the time travel and such.

And Suguru probably would wait a few years to reveal the truth. I think it would be for the good in the end, even if Saturo will feel a bit betrayed at first for being excluded.

Prompt:

Suguru wakes up in his teenage body, during his first year of Jujutsu High, with his last memory being of Satoru getting sealed inside the cube.

Like hell will he allow that to happen twice.

It's kinda weird, as the way that detail about the age is presented seem a bit important to be just a little discrepancy.

On a side note why in general there doesn't seem to be options for people to become heroes if they're past the high schooler age?

We know thanks to Vigilantes that isn't totally impossible became one later in life with how Koichi became one at the end (even if you can say he became a hero under USA terms not Japan).

Also isn't dumb how you only have one chance to take the exam and never again? And isn't just fail the exam what cut your hero aspirations, just not attend to the exam even by circumstances out of your control seem to be equally valid on the school eyes.

That's again how Koichi story begin, but loose the chance in one school means you don't have any chance in other different school? I don't remember if Vigilantes cover that detail, but using japanese real life education system as reference it might as well be equally unfair.

The Narrative Goes Out Of Its Way To Hammer Home The Parallels Between Gentle And Izuku. They Both Shared
The Narrative Goes Out Of Its Way To Hammer Home The Parallels Between Gentle And Izuku. They Both Shared

The narrative goes out of its way to hammer home the parallels between Gentle and Izuku. They both shared an impossible dream of heroism and personal acknowledgment, both coped with despair through extreme positivity, and both had to carry the weight of their parents' lack of faith in them. Both Inko and Gentle's mother's first appearances were the same: crying in self-pity because their children couldn't meet societal expectations. The burden was put on Izuku and Gentle to maintain hope on their own. (Inko did get better, but only after Izuku was given an opportunity Gentle never had)

But Gentle's backstory also shares a lot of parallels with Toga. A public incident occurred that harmed someone unintentionally, and their entirely family was targeted as a result. The unloving parents drawn without faces threw out their own school age children to escape scrutiny. Both Gentle and Toga seem to be from a similar upper middle class background given how their family homes were drawn. And both ended up seeking romantic connection after losing their family ties.

Matching tattoos for lovers is a trope I live for.

And Cider probably would get a taste of his own medicine is Izumi starts teasing him in more creative ways. Two can play the same game.

The whole cinderIzu is great and I welcome with open arms. For my au, I have an idea for them meet.

Again, BK is a footnote in her life and Izumi is not dedicating all her time and energy in thinking of him. (She hears how his quirk remains the same, no quirk awakening bs, how bk's attitude got worse and how Aizawa is sure BK is the future)

Izumi hears about the mpa here and there and ...is not impressed. She needs money, her group can't work by luck...they need ration and more, and Izumi is not happy ReDestro has "schools" for kids to learn their quirks...its just a camp where the kid learns how to use their quirk AND NOTHING ELSE (Geten my be alliterate here)

Stealing from Redestro is not something she can pull off on her own. She needs help to do this heist.

(the quirk schools aren't illegal, per se, but it rubs Izumi in the wrong way. She is right)

Enters Cinder. He shows up with his helmet, all gear up and...well, he too needs money and Mr. Youtsubashi is loaded and if he wants to make quirk schools, fine...let's rob the fucker.

Izumi gawks as Cinder removes his helmet. He is handsome and cute...she wasn't expecting this.

Lol

(I love a good mask reveal!)

I also live for the moments when a character takes of their mask and reveals to be hot, and Cider isn't the exception. I mean can you blame Midoriya for what him?

The Whole CinderIzu Is Great And I Welcome With Open Arms. For My Au, I Have An Idea For Them Meet.

Note: Izu probably loves in particular the little scar Cider got in his eyebrown, he/her found that detail to be especially sexy.

...

Is funny you mention the whole plot of Cider helping Izu to steal stuff from Re-Destro company, as I also have this idea of him making an operation to steal from a werehouse full of valuable tech and support items that Detnerant (I think that's the company name) sells into the black market.

They would have success stealing a lot of merch they later sell to get money, but also Cider found a particularly expensive prototype of a high tech glider he decides to keep for himself and use to compliment his surfing style. As Mizunami is really into surfing in my AU, like he seems to be in canon.

Oh I forgot to mention before but the vigilante name Cider/Mizunami will use for my AU will be "Splashdown". Be free to use it if you like the name.

And since you mentioned Geten here, do you think he will have some role in the story? As I mentioned before I love the idea of Cider being a Himura, but also he probably was rejected by his clan because his quirk is water instead of ice and the Himuras seems to be the kind of elitist jerks to would dishonor a child for born with a "imperfect" quirk.

Which would create a lot of tension between Cider and Geten, especially is they reconogice each other. Geten hating Cider for being "a failed Himura" and Cider will hate Geten because he's just a "an attack dog" for Re-Destro.

We can say for sure Hawks likes to play with the danger.

Either that or he wants Enji as a father in law so bad that he doesn't care.

I will never not to be disappointed for how Hawks never actually took Shoto under his wing!

We could use a lot more of this...

We Can Say For Sure Hawks Likes To Play With The Danger.

Lol, poor Shoto got the oblivious for living with Enji all this time. He didn't have the best influence while growing up.

Hey ay least Enji could say his son is attracting the best of the best. For once daddy Endeavor needs to put his pride aside and try to get the favor of his child.

...

May I ask what other ships are your favorites? So I can have more idea of what I should send, unless you're open to my all kind of unusual ships.

I have the feeling that if Hawks choose Shoto to be his intern, 10% of their time together would be Hawks actually teaching hero stuff and the rest is just an excuse to take Shoto to shopping, watch movies in theatres, eat on restaurants and probably go to the hot springs in winter.

Of course our favorite birdie is just using the opportunity to "date" the youngest Todoroki, and Shoto is unawere of the deal but he still enjoys it regardless (he still don't realizes about his crush for Hawks despite being kinda obvious)

I Have The Feeling That If Hawks Choose Shoto To Be His Intern, 10% Of Their Time Together Would Be Hawks

They're so cute and bad at relationships ♡♡♡

When I tell you I lost all of my shits when Hawks mentioned that he was fully intending to intern Shoto from the start I have not stopped raising an eyebrow at him since.

I wish they got more screentime together because Hawks takes so many opportunities to lean into Shoto's personal space and touch him, risking his ass doing it right in front of Endeavor no less. And yet Shoto remains so oblivious. I adore the idea that Hawks realizes Shoto has a crush before Shoto does and takes every opportunity to become his boyfriend before he notices. He's fast enough to pull it off afterall lol.

I have to wonder if Enji is equally as oblivious to romantic or sexual cues like that given his own loveless marriage or if he just sitting there, fists clenched, trying to be a better dad by respecting his son's autonomy while dreading the day he brings Hawks home for dinner. Like is his face reading "get away from my son" or "I'm glad Shoto is making more acquaintances in the industry"?

Please send me more ships to yap about, I can never get enough.
