CIRCULATING — since dream academy will only just end once I shift there , a perfect world would mean no rumors going around just yet. But alas, most of our fans so far are kpop fans—the messy kind, of course—therefore it's only natural for them to find a problem with something about the final line up, even before we were chosen.

This video was messy, to say the least. To summarize: the creator went on a 30 minute rant about each contestant on the show, giving their very honest opinion about us based on our first appearances. It was posted a couple hours after the first episode aired and to say they were quick with it would be an understatement. I find myself on Twitter during one of my breaks from training and I see me—quite literally—at the center of a discussion between viewers of DA: "Did Yuuna really deserve her spot on Dream Academy?" ... According to the post, "Yuuna doesn't have enough experience in the [music] industry to participate in a show, a survival show out of everything too ... She should just stay an actress or a model or whatever instead of "joining" Dream Academy because it'll just be embarrassing when the judges stop accepting her briberies and she's one of the first-" The thread was lengthy but why I destroy my peace for people—twitter fans especially? I couldn't bring myself to care enough anyways.

This rumor was honestly so fun to watch . It all started when Giselle shared a photo on her Instagram wearing a white lace tank top (like the one in the photo) and a backwards cap. It was already hinted that Giselle and I had been friends since their debut era, so I didn't think much when I posted a selfie of myself wearing the same clothing pieces. Oh, how I was so wrong.. According to Soompi and Netizens , "Giselle had been in 'girlfriend' mode since Yuuna was revealed to be a contestant on Dream Academy, even going as far as commenting on posts she would personally share on the survival shows account." Honestly, we both thought it was stupid, since we were just really close friends. Then again, that photo definitely lead to a chain of events : random photos with the other's shadow peeking in the background , subtle mentions of each other during work hours, and ...questionable moments between the two of us were discovered and theories were spreading quickly. I'm pretty sure Netizens are currently sitting here practicing their shocked reactions while waiting for Dispatch to finally confirm the rumors TT.

It's a psychological problem. Humans are born with an instinct to worship others, particularly those who've accomplished what others could only dream of having. When it comes to shifting, the community doesn't rely on themselves but rely on the one's who have reached that level of "impossible". They see them as some kind of "god" and believe that if they put all their trust and support into the creators, they'll have a better chance at shifting themselves, which in my opinion is plain stupid.

moral of the story: stop relying on people who've shifted to help you shift, it's an individual journey !! you won't get anywhere closer to your goal if you spend all the time you could be spending in your dr putting others on a pedestal.

Idk something about how (some if not most) shifters will treat you better when they know you've shifted kinda reminds me of classism, like why is there a hierarchy in the shifting community 😭💔

Blaise felt that he was a rather normal man. 

He grew up in a somewhat broken home—though he doubted anybody’s was truly perfect—with a good mom who hung around bad men. Bad men who helped him know what a good man was. 

He’d learned early on what not to be. Treat women with respect, open the doors for them and pull their chairs in unless they stated otherwise. Protect them from dangerous assholes that would want nothing more than to break their hearts. Make sure that you’re an emotionally mature man, don’t invalidate their feelings and don’t act like a holier than thou kind of man. Respect them in a positive way, in a way that would make someone feel cherished and loved beyond belief. 

Maybe he had fallen off his rails when he began to hang out with the Slytherin boys more often. He found himself sleeping around with different women from time to time—though his manners remained the same even still. Opening the door to his bedroom became a regular occurrence in Fifth Year, though he kept the door to his heart shut off to even the closest of his friends. 

That was until you came along. 

A lovely girl that he had been paired up with during a Potions project, completely innocent in a way that he had never met before. You hadn’t wanted Blaise for sex, for money, or for anything else that would annoy him. You never hated him either, though he wasn’t sure whether you hated anyone that you knew. 

He had relearned himself when he began to hang out with you more. He held the door to the library instead of to his bedroom, and he had offered his heart in slow but sure increments. It was romantic and it was sweet, and it was everything that he had ever possibly needed to change. 

And if he used his experiences with them to know how to treat you? It was nothing more than basic human decency to him now.

“Who’s this in your wallet?” 

“What?” Blaise asked confusedly, looking over at his friends. He hadn’t hung out with them for a while, mostly because he had been hanging out with you so much. That wasn’t a bad thing on his part, at least not through his perception.

He hadn’t even noticed that Mattheo and Lorenzo had stolen his wallet until he had turned around. “This girl. In your wallet.” Lorenzo said, holding his opened wallet. There was a polaroid photo of him and you in there that his mother had taken of you both—hidden away in the kitchen with you resting on the counter.

“Who is it?” Mattheo repeated.

Blaise hummed and took the wallet back from his friends. “My girlfriend.” he murmured.

“Oh?” Theodore said, leaning over the couch. He had a smirk on his face that was hidden by his cigarette. “That’s who’s taken you away from us?”

“Mhm.” he nodded blankly at them. “I’m going on a date with her later, so I can’t stay long.”

“She’s pretty.” Mattheo whistled. “She good in bed?”

Blaise scowled at him, scoffing at his question. He hadn’t realized just how much his friends obsessed over sex, not until recently. “None of your business.”

“Whatever.” Mattheo rolled his eyes.

“Down bad.” Lorenzo chuckled, gently shoving Blaise’s arm. “We’ve still missed you though. New drama that happened, y’know.”

Blaise hummed quietly and looked over at Lorenzo. “Like what?”

“Theo and Pans are dating!” Lorenzo said excitedly. 

Blaise raised his eyebrows curiously, looking over at Theodore. “Congratulations.”

“Thanks.” Theodore murmured.

Blaise sat down on the couch and opened his wallet again, looking over the photos his mom had taken again. He had introduced you just recently, though you two had clicked immediately. He remembered how his mom had taken to you as soon as you walked through the door, borderline ignoring him for you.

He didn’t quite mind though, he really thought you deserved it. 

Maybe he’d introduce you to his friends soon. Only if you suggested it first though. As much as he had slowly distanced himself from their behaviors recently, he still considered them decent people.

“Okay but, are we not gonna talk about Blaise turning into a sap?” Mattheo chuckled. “A picture of her in his wallet? Really?”

“Never heard of that before.” Theodore whispered conspiratorially next to Blaise's ear. “He’s leashed up like a dog, I bet.”

Lorenzo laughed out loud at that. “Blaise’s a dog now?”

Blaise sighed dramatically, rubbing his hand over his forehead. Maybe he should distance himself further.

thank you so much for reading! i'm not sure whether i like this little drabble's style or not, but i wanted to do a character study of blaise compared to the rest of the slytherins. i feel like out of everyone in that group, he'd probably be the most respectful to women, hence this wonderous little drabble here <3
