"The World"

Sometimes I look at the world

And I see that it is hideous.

I see a girl typing offensive messages behind a screen,

Knowing no one will know it was her.

I see a boy making jokes about a group of people

When his classmate is part of that group.

I see a girl being told that she “asked for it”

Because her skirt was “too short.”

I see a boy forbidden from being himself

Because he was born a “girl.”

I see a couple keeping their relationship a secret

Because their love is illegal.

I see children torn from their parents and siblings

For coming to a safer place.

I see students huddling in the corner of their classroom,

Hiding from the armed man in the hallway.

I see people who believe that others should not be alive

Because they are different.

I see chaos, hate, prejudice, sadness.

I see all of this, and I think, “The world is hideous.”

Sometimes I look at the world

And I see that it is beautiful.

I see a girl placing her lunch next to a girl she’s never spoken to,

But who looks lonely.

I see a boy standing up to defend his friend

When someone is bullying him.

I see a girl shaving her head and donating her hair

To raise money for cancer.

I see a boy tutoring a younger student at school

And helping him to understand.

I see a family with a raft rescuing their neighbors

From the roof of their flooded house.

I see a group of students organizing a clothing drive

For children who need it more than they do.

I see an act of kindness on the street

That may make a world of difference to one person.

I see celebrations of identity, heritage, and pride,

And people who are unafraid to be who they are.

I see peace, love, acceptance, joy.

I see all of this, and I think, “The world is beautiful.”

This is by far the strangest and yet the most amazing Cosmere post I have ever seen.

Rysn bonds with the nightwatcher, and the larkin grants her every form of investiture in the cosmere except jindoeese dance

Shallan is introduced to hot chocolate

Wit reuses a joke (and steals a couple of waynes)

Jasnah and kelsier fight each other over who’s apprentice/ward/daughter figure is better, wax wins despite not being in the contest

Shallan becomes an honour student at the Silverlight university, and is the ace of both the basketball and pokemon team (this may or may not be down to lightweaving)

There is a stick chapter

We find out hoids real name and four new pseudonyms, but not which are which

Wayne joins renarins band and they are called the stone shamans

Szeth is not impressed

Taln goes on holiday to shinovar and the purelake

Galladon meets with vasher and kaladin to form a rival band called the grouches

2+2=pickle

All the death rattles turn into lyrics from the stone shamans

Navani invents a fabrial which is extremely similar to a microwave, and makes billions profit

The stone shamans are the favourites to win roshars got talent, but it is snatched away by eshonai doing contemporary dance

Odium is quelled by the discovery of hot chocolate

One more DEH thought, this is the did you fall or did you let go scene in act ii and I was watching a video of it and noticed: look at their sweatshirts. They're the same. Evan is wearing Connor's sweatshirt. I put this up for discussion on Google+ and people suggested that this symbolized him becoming more like Connor, pulled back and secretive. And in the last scene, he has a new jacket that means he's put that aside and moved on.
