If it ever gets too hard...

Just remember it’s worth it. The hunger pains are worth it. The headaches are worth it. The constant taste of coffee, cigarettes, mints, and gum is worth it. Your hard work will pay off and one day when you look in the mirror, you’ll see your hip bones and ribs. One day you’ll be able to walk into the store and ask sales associate for the smallest size. One day you’ll be hanging out with your friends and they’ll tell you how “skinny” and “amazing” you look. One day you’ll be able to go to the beach and wear a bikini without feeling one ounce of shame or embarrassment. One day you’ll be able to comfortably take off your shirt when things get heated with your crush. Trust me when I say, that on this day everything you’ve gone through will be worth it.

Yes finally someone said it

I would just like to point out that people with anorexia do actually eat. Sometimes it’s a lot of food and sometimes it’s nothing. A lot of the time it is very restricted amounts of food, but there is still food consumption involved, most often daily. There seems to be some pro-ana notion that anorexics never eat and if you eat even one thing, you’re not “anorexic”. This is very false and very stupid. There is a lot more to this ED than “not eating”. There is guilt and pain and total self hatred that you can’t stop. There are no cheat days. There are no breaks. Anorexics binge and it’s not “I ate an apple!!1! Omg binge”, it’s “jfc I literally ate 5lbs of food and my stomach feels like it might rip”.

I’m sorry, I just hate the fact that pro-anas act like anorexia is never eating and that’s it. Anorexics do eat.
